In what has unfortunately become their typical fitting fashion your Miami Hurricanes lost their self-proclaimed "bowl game" to the Boston College Eagles on Friday 24-17.
After declaring themselves ineligible for a bowl game this season the UM coaches and players had only one game to look forward to against BC but even that proved to be too much for them to manage on a breezy November day that had the flags flying and also signaled the end of Miami's season.
The loss dropped Miami to 6-6 on what now can only be described as a mostly forgettable 2011 college football season for Hurricane fans. The loss also marked Miami's fourth consecutive "bowl" game loss since beating Nevada back in 2006 when some guy named Coker was still coaching the Hurricanes.
The smallish yet of very loyal and vocal group of orange and green clad UM fans (like Canespacer Hassan above) that did gather for the season finale at Sun life Stadium had little to be thankful for about their team the day after stuffing themselves full of Turkey and stuffing on Thanksgiving.
On Senior day in his final home game Miami QB Jacory Harris decided to go all retro and regressed into the inconsistent, turnover prone player that we all know and love (or hate). The first clue for Hurricane fans was when J12 got off the bus at the Hurricane Walk sporting a Mohawk (true) and a never used Heisman Trophy pink pimp suit (not true).
The Miami offense was absent for most of the day with the exception of the occasional burst of speed from Lamar Miller who broke off a few large gains and scored on a 79 yard run.
Other than Miller's dash it was mostly the aforementioned Harris throwing to the team in the wrong colored jerseys but looking really stylish (it was the mohawk) while doing so.
One would have thought that running through the smoke one last time this season might have spurred the UM players, especially the large group of graduating Seniors, into a solid last performance in front of the home faithful.
Yet as the team came out of the smoke and ran to the far end zone to take a knee and perform their customary pre-game prayer, fans had to be wondering if the players were praying for a victory or just for the season to mercifully be over?
The UM defense played well enough to win but not when the offense was giving up pick sixes and field position all game long. Again it was Freshman Denzel Perryman who continued his impressive play at linebacker for the Hurricanes as he clearly was once again the second best defender on the field next to Senior LB Sean Spence.
Without the real bowl game this year it will be an even longer off-season for the returning players to work on their strength and conditioning as the coaches focus on retaining recruits already verbally committed to Miami while also looking to fill the few (5) remaining slots during the recruiting process.
Now all that is left is to see which UM players aside from Lamar Miller will be selected as Canespace Legends of the Fall for 2011 and to see who will be the first blogger to predict that Miami will go undefeated and/or win the ACC next season.
My money is on the original 12%er himself RayChanCanesFan (RCCF) to break the ice for 2012.
However, it is going to take more than a few cute slogans from the head coach to get to 12-0 or to even glimpse at an ACC title next year for the team with The U on their helmets.
That is when we see IF your Miami Hurricanes "Deserve Victory".

UpNorth, I hope Williams in good, but I'm also hoping that it just a maturity thing with Morris. Hopefully the light will come on soon. He has a ton of potential, and it would be nice knowing either one could get the job done if pressed into action.
Let's hope the next great one is also in this class and will be able to red-shirt

Im a fan of the U so ill have any qbs back and u can look at my older posts and you willsee jacory was and still is my boy he was an unlucky individual with weak support behind him at times.....
8th man your right though whoever is behind center or backing up the starter hopefully can get the job done. And we def need the incoming freshmen to be able to redshirt we need to build depth!

Wow. I think this might just be the most laughable football related post in the history of this blog. I'd start pointing out the myriad falsehoods in this post but then I'd never stop.
Nice article SOUP, ever since you've turned to the dark-side you've been on point and pulling no punches but the articles have been funnier than ever. Getting Dash back for another year will help but right now, it's 50/50 for whether there's going to be any improvement in 2012 for me. We'll see if signing day delivers any good signs, after last year's underwhelming class it better, otherwise, why sacrifice the bowl practices for more recruiting time?

Besides a S&Cing program, we need to add a COMBAT element--think WRESTLING or UFC--to our program. Besides recruiting good genetics, that's what sets Alabama and LSU apart from the rest of the country. Especially Alabama, they MURDERED! Auburn yesterday...

1. Well bruh at least the season is over with and Al can get on the recruiting trail. Had a couple parents come up and get at me about their kids and thoughts of Miami. 2 prospects are Miamis but need to talk with Al and want to take full visits.
2. Got loaded about the Jacory sucks, MoMo needed to play emails bruh. Yo, some fans should be ripped at MoMo cause boi was given every chance to own that job and failed. He barely attended any 7/7s and damn sure didnt throw with WRs when they wanted extra work, it was Ryan who went out there. MoMo needs to refocus and make football #1.
3. At least 8 papers will be offered to current ballahs. Sh$# going to be interesting this offseason.
4. Yo bruh I know it looks bad but cant look back now. Just gotta keep pimpin, this sh$# will get right I promise bruh. Keep that head up bruh, Miamis gonna be ite.

Soup,
Nice article... I agree with all of it except:
"The UM defense played well enough to win but not when the offense was giving up pick sixes and field position all game long."
I don't think the D played very well at all... we were getting gashed on runs up the middle, and their receivers and tight ends had 10 yard cushions all game long.
Other than particular standout efforts... (Perryman for example), our D was Dominated by BC. Also, the time of possession was unbelievably lopsided in BC's favor.
Granted, they got no rest, (with JH lobbing up picks every few minutes), but they were NOT getting the job done.
There was not one facet of our game that was firing properly.
Posted by: roachcane77 | November 27, 2011 at 08:25 PM
SlingBlade, that's hilarious, from nobody to UM steal, to OSU score. Never to be heard from again.
Anybody want to guess on the at least 8 papers offered? I'm wondering how that's going to work, they sit down, Golden tells them to sign their transfer papers or else what if they don't? Scholarship isn't renewed?
I'm thinking;
Shayon Green, Darion Hall, Kendall Thompkins, CJ Holton, Tyrone Cornileus, Jermaine Johnson, Jermaine Barton, Edwardo Lopez?
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 27, 2011 at 08:30 PM
Not sure what MoMo is smoking, but he is letting a prime opportunity slip through his fingers. If he lets Ry Will take his spot, he will never get it back. That explains why Jacory was given the nod, because most coaches will play youth vs the Sr. if all things are equal.
Posted by: 8th Man in the Box | November 27, 2011 at 08:34 PM
OVG...Golden seem to play Shayon when he had the opportunity. I think he'll remain. So will Jermaine Johnson if he can't get enough DTs in this class.

I've read about the second and third phase of planned changes to Sun Life. Primarily, they are to lure future Super Bowls to South Florida's 25 year old stadium. Changes include:
1) Addition of roof to shield fans from rain.
2) Remodeling of lower deck. Lower deck would have lesser inclince and would bring seats closer to the sidelines and would end any future convertability to baseball.
The proposed renovations would entail $200M in funding that has not been obtained at present.
Here's a link that shows pictures of the potential changes:

The defense will be WAY BETTER next year than this.

LOF has to be Miller on offense, 1000 yards, best weapon, was the guy game-planned against after the first month of the season. I'm pretty sure Spence was deemed off limits for LOF selection before the season for being too much of an obvious pick wasn't he? Besides, I can't say he deserves it for getting caught up in the midget shopping spree with the NCAA to start the year.
I'd go with JoJo slightly over Chickillo except the line and backfield play was the two weakest out of the three levels of the defense. Ultimately I think Nicholas' overcoming the death of his son to have a career year in his last chance is more LOF worthy than a freshman doing his best Matt Walters impersonation (which isn't a knock on 3G, Walters was a great college DE on some stacked football teams).

I don't know too rules: if a guy isn't cutting it on the field, the coach can't just pull his scholarship, can he? The kid has to be screwing up some other way, too, doesn't he?

As an attorney I would think that U would know how to so research?

The big question mark now that Golden had his contract extended is whether running back Lamar Miller — who polished off the third-best rushing season in UM history with his seventh 100-yard game of the year Friday — will be back. Miller could very well opt to leave for the NFL, where he could be the second running back taken in April’s draft behind Alabama’s Trent Richardson. That would leave veteran Mike James (275 yards, 7 TDs on 72 attempts) and sophomore Eduardo Clements (15 attempts, 82 yards, 1 TD) as the top ballcarriers in a backfield that this season averaged fewer yards on the ground (145.7) than the 2010 Canes, who averaged 182.5 yards on the ground.

86, priorities man, tailgating is precedent and I totally understand.
TC, I'm not advocating anybody getting told see you later, just to be clear. I'm just guessing who it might be seeing how that's the way Golden is going to operate. Turnover is natural when there is a regime change, that's the way college football goes, coaches like their own recruits and there's no blame in that from my point of view.
Scholarships are renewable year to year, I think you have to have an injury leading to a guy quitting or transfer request to not have them be, "dead cap space," though over their four year length? Like if Hall transfers, you can offer his spot tomorrow, but if you don't renew it without him being physically unable to perform anymore due to injuries, he counts until his fourth year?
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 27, 2011 at 11:20 PM
Just don't like it when it appears (and if I am getting this wrong just clarify) that we want to get rid of kids who don't perform just to open up more scholarships. I read time after time that players that come to Miami do so because of "the family atmosphere". Like I said, many of us write "Welcome to the Family" when someone commits. A family doesn't kick someone out just because the performance wasn't up to pare.
I also remember people reacting with outrage on this board back in 2009 when a rival ACC coach was said to be cutting underperforming players just to open up more scholarships for the incoming class. And how we were mentioned amongst other schools because we "encouraged" a player to transfer in 2010. Now I'm seeing 4, 5, 6 players mentioned as being given their papers.
This is not the NFL. As long as you perform up to academic expectations and do not engage in off the field shenanigans, the scholarship should be good (technically, I know it's a year to year deal). Truly, it's the mirror of what Jimmy Johnson once said to Karim Abdul-Jabbar in his first training camp in 1996 (as referenced in "Shark Among Dolphins", when he yelled, "This isn't UCLA! Your scholarship can be revoked!". This is Miami, and we should not be revoking scholarships just so we can sign 38 kids next February.
Posted by: TonyCane | November 27, 2011 at 11:21 PM
dj- every scholarship is renewed annually. It's bad form to cut players for no reason, or I should say it used to be bad form. Now, it happens all the time. IF you aren't helping the team out in some form (including academically), you're encouraged to look elsewhere to continue your career. UM has kept many, many kids who didn't help out all that much on the field, but they help the composite GPA, give great effort, etc.

Oh yes He can. The scholarships are NOT guaranteed 4-5 year contracts, they're 1 year renewables with discretion by the HC.

So the only safety for the player is that when a coach does that, it screws up the APR?
Posted by: dj moonbat | November 27, 2011 at 11:27 PM
The Whole argument about the 1 year renewable is not entirely accurate, you attorney's on the blog got to do better research, this changed recently with the 2,000 per kid changes etc.
http://www.freerecruitingwebinar.org/blog/2011/11/4/ncaa-approves-sweeping-academic-and-scholarship-changes.html
Schools can now offer a 4 year scholly, I am not sure who will and how popular it will be but this is now an option. Also the grade requirements will be changing and kids like Noel Devine might not see a college football field in the future if he can't study better or get someone to do his homework in HS.
8 transfers is huge that is half our last class, that is 10% of this football team, if you figure the 30ish new kids this year the 16 from last year and minus 8 off the team, plus we took the rapist DT scholly last year that is nearly 2/3 of the team that will be Golden's boys, that is a huge turn around within 12 months and that shows me how serious Golden is about winning, that also means the expectation will be elevated in a year or so as those kids get better.
The Stadium link is here
http://visionforsfl.com/
as for the changes it is going to happen, it is a 3 phase plan, phase one is actually already complete which was the concourse improvements the scoreboards and ribbon etc, phase II was delayed until the Marlins moved out, they are scheduled to be completed by the 2013 football season at the latest,
http://www.thephins.com/2010/01/08/plans-unveiled-for-dolphin-stadium-renovation/
Sfla lost the 201 bid, but here is the latest on the stadium, they have lots of plans but depends on funding but the seating and other upgrades will likely happen soon.
http://blogs.trb.com/sports/custom/business/blog/2011/10/50th_super_bowl_up_for_grabs_i.html
For this reason i think they will turn our stadium into a nice place to play football, BTW by moving the new HD scoreboards planned to EACH upper deck corner the seating will go down about 10,000 which is much more in line with what we need in that stadium.

I'm sure no one likes to have free loaders in their family either
You better earn that scholarship each year - no different than getting an academic or privately funded one and having to uphold a certain standard in order to keep it
They can stay part of the family, they just can't stay in the house anymore or partake in certain family activities without paying their own way
You imagine giving Kirby Freeman or Lance Leggett a guaranteed 4 year scholarship? Screw that noise. Should've dropped Leggett - luckily Freeman transferred and was never heard from again at Baylor b/c of some young pup named Robert Griffin the Third
Year to year is the best way to do it

It was a long, long journey for the University of Miami women’s basketball team but a successful one.
It’s not often that you play a game in Miami, travel to Anchorage, Alaska, to play two games and then return to Miami for another game, all in the span of 10 days, including almost two days of travel.
UM made the long journey worthwhile by completing that four-game span — all victories — with a 92-43 thrashing of Longwood University (Va.) Sunday at the BankUnited Center on UM’s campus.
To make it even better, those four wins included the championship of the Great Alaska Shootout.
“It really was a very, very tough trip to Alaska, and it was tough getting home,” UM coach Katie Meier said. “There were a lot of plane issues, a failed engine and a five-hour delay. We missed the connection.”

Hurricanes running back Lamar Miller said last Monday that he'd only leave early for the NFL if he was projected as a first-rounder.
But after Friday's 24-17 loss to Boston College in the season finale, the redshirt sophomore left open the possibility he'd go pro as well if projected as a second-rounder.
"I don't know. I'm just going to talk to people. I haven't really been thinking about it yet," Miller said. He finished with 1,272 yards — the third-highest single-season rushing total in UM history — and nine TDs while averaging 5.6 yards per carry. He also caught 17 passes for 85 yards and a TD.
The reason he'd come back: "I've always wanted to win a national championship and ACC championship."

BULL$HIT!
With the exception of the transfers,
Al Golden did the same thing Randy Shannon did in His first season,
which is essentially run what amounted to a CFB tryout in His first season.
So why is Golden considered "serious about winning", and Randy isn't?

Okay...but how do you define "freeloaders". Are you saying kids that do not try at all and are completely going through the motions, or kids that are not playing up to their ranking on Rivals. Because if it's the latter, virtually every position right now should be up for grabs. No one on the Canes roster played at what could be called a five star level apart from Miller, and he tailed off. Should Streeter, Chickillo, Perryman, or Henderson be let go if Golden could get a five star player to replace them this spring?
If we want to be completely cut throat about this, fine, but let the recruits know about it in advance. That it's not a family, but an opportunity. An opportunity that exists for one season. Underperform in the slightest, and you are gone.
Posted by: TonyCane | November 28, 2011 at 08:35 AM
Have to say one thing...whenever a recruit comes most of us say, "Welcome to the Family". That said, for those of you urging that certain players lose their scholarships...how do you reconcile that?
Posted by: TonyCane | November 27, 2011 at 10:20 PM
In any family (or team) there are certain roles and responsibilities assigned to each individual member (player) that they must meet for the family (team) to function in a healthy manner that benefits each member (player). The family unit (team) was intended to exist in a cooperative manner that promotes individual growth and development while ensuring peace and harmony among its members (players).
Caring, involved parents (coaches) make the rules that are in the best interests of their children (players) and the children (players) must follow these rules for their own safety and well being and so as not to become a detriment to the family (team) as a whole.
Parents (coaches) assign daily chores (go to class, practice, study their playbook, watch film, work out, etc.) and closely monitor behavior and provide positive reinforcements (playing time, black jerseys in practice) and negative consequences (sit on the bench, extra physical activities) to support effective behavior management.
Children (players) who repeatedly fail to follow the rules, respond to gradually increasing behavioral interventions or demonstrate behaviors that are detrimental to the family's (team's) success or put the entire family (team) at risk of harm or failure are subject to more harsh or severe consequences (game suspensions) that are matched to the level of their behaviors (failure to attend class or violation of other team rules).
If these measures fail to correct the inapprorpiate behavior and places the family system (team) at risk of failure then there are usually only a few options left:
1. The family member removes themself from the family unit due to their inability or unwillingness to continue to follow rules or accept the appropriate consequences for their inapproriate behaviors (see: Storm Johnson).
2. The family member, because of their increasingly negative or dangerous behavior, becomes involved in the criminal justice system or even worse faces the natural consequences of their behavior and is confronted with violence or death from their rejection of traditional family (team) values and their negative peer group affiliations (see: Willie Williams).
3. The family is forced to take the necessary legal action to deal with the child's (player's) behavior and petition the State (NCAA) for additional interventions or other legal resources (Athletic Department or school administration) to deal with the problem up to the point of having the child (player) removed from the home (team) if necessary (see: Aldarius Johnson).
These natural and applied consequences are considered normal and appropriate within any family system (team) especially when everyone accepts and acknowledges that the behavior of one family member (player) directly impacts and affects all members of the system (team).
With that explanation I have to ask U:
Is that so hard to understand?
Posted by: SOUP | November 28, 2011 at 08:38 AM
SOUP, easy to understand. There is a complete difference when the reasons that you cited above are used. I just fear that it could be taken to an extreme and a player that was a 3 or 4 star player who did not pan out in his first year or so due to injury or other non-disciplinary reasons is released, just to make room for the next top prospect. Like Leonard Hankerson...he did very little his first two years at Miami. Under the cutthroat approach, he gets "his papers" before the 2009 season so that Randy Shannon can sign a better prospect.

Tony, Tony, Tony...don't get your knickers all in a wad. Breathe deep, read slowly and listen up!
Here's the deal: Players do NOT get their schollies pulled for simply not playing up to their HS star rating or their alleged "potential".
These are not random, careless or arbitrary decisions made by any coach at any University but thoughtful, careful decisions that are made in the best interest of the individual players, the team and the university.
Players who may voluntarily transfer or be asked to transfer usually fall into one of these categories:
1. Players who are found not to have enough athletic talent to play at Miami may be "counseled" about that issue and are "offered" an opportunity to transfer IF they choose so that they can find an appropriate place to play and to pursue their dreams. This is always done in the "best interest" of the individual player and the team (see Taylor Cook, Cannon Smith and Kirby Freeman).
NOTE: IF the player decides NOT to transfer he retains his scholly and plays on the scout team, changes positions for depth or maybe does some occasional special teams duty or may play in mop up time to prevent injuries to starters (see Lee Chambers, Davon Johnson and Kendal Thompkins).
2. Players who repeatedly or consistently fail to meet their personal obligations or responsibilities to the team or the University may be asked to transfer IF:
(A) They consistently fail to meet their academic requirements such as going to class, go to study hall, pass their classes, maintain at least a "C" average (see: Robert Marve who reportedly had issues with ALL of the above).
(B) They consistently fail to meet their athletic requirements such as being on time to meetings and practice, participating in mandatory weight training workouts and practicing and playing to the best of their ability as determined by their position coaches, coordinators and head coach. (read: "Fat and lazy is no way to go through life son."
(C) They consistenly and intentionally violate team rules as it relates to the established "Code of Conduct" established by the University and the Athletic Department. This is the most serious level of offenses and could include their scholly being pulled for things like assualts, felony arrests, repeated arrests or failing drug tests or other behavior considered to be detrimental to the team or the University.

We need to schedule like Sec teams out of conference. We need the rest. The schedule this year was not in our favor. Why punish the team with a gauntlet of 5 big opponents prior to going into the acc schedule. Its crazy.
Cane family is different from a biological family. You cant get kicked out of a the family with two loving parents... thats crazy... Cane family is more like the Mob family... lol .Got to do what your suppose to do or go somewhere else.

Ohio State went 6-6 this year. Plus we owed them. Now, admittedly, Bethune Cookman went 8-3, but somehow I get the feeling that's not who you're talking about.
That leaves mighty Kansas State. Sorry, the U should've beaten those dudes soundly. Certainly, there was no reason for an athletic director building a schedule a couple of years earlier to say, "Oh, God! What is KANSAS STATE doing on our schedule?! We're doooomed!" (They lost at least six games each of the previous six years.)

Unfortunately not every kid is going to measure up to expectation, for whatever reason. Before the season got going, Golden had already jetsoned, at least 6 players & they're will be 5 or 6 asked to adios it. I expect Billy Sanders, C. J. Holton, Tyrone Cornileous, Darion Hall, & Kieon Payne. I mean, why did Keon Payne not see the field as a redshirt Freshman, when we stunk at that position? Asante Cleveland may book too! If 5 or 6 do leave that would be close to 12 players, leaving before their elgibilty is up plus 13 or so Seniors. Also B. Jones & J. Johnson could be candidates. In my humble opinion, we have to get the defense fixed. Okay we got a little better as the season went on, but we couldn't cover a punch drunk on dollar day and I don't see us getting much better next year. The front 7 is a seive against the run and very little pass rush. We had nobodies lighting us up in the passing dept.
If we lose Miller & Streeter the offense could be a problem too! Golden's right, this class can't have to many misses. The class we have coming in is long on numbers but to me is short on the IT factor, or somebody that makes you go WOW!

Look, of our out-of-conference games, two of the opponents (OSU and USF) had six-loss seasons. You can't complain that your out-of-conference schedule is too back-breaking when two of the four opponents are .500 teams or worse.
Of the two remaining teams, one is BETHUNE COOKMAN. The other one did have a good season -- the first good season in SEVEN YEARS. (The point being, it's not like we were TRYING to schedule a good team when we scheduled Kansas State. Quite the opposite.)

Posted by: calGary Cane | November 28, 2011 at 10:56 AM
9-8 @Kansas State
10-6 @Notre Dame (in Chicago, IL)
10-13 Bethune-Cookman
11-24 South Florida
ALL OPPONENTS: Florida State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, NC State, @Duke, @UVA, @GT, @BC
Seems to be what our schedule is looking like next year.....question is who do we open up with if we can not move BC to week one. No more labor day games!!!

Why play USF? Seriously.. they have a great defense... why not UCF?
Posted by: mi@mic@ne | November 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM
Why beat yourself up over ND? The only thing that matters is getting into the ACC championship game... but if you lose outside of conference its matters nationally... other programs dont play tough games all yr long...

ANSWER: I was told that the 8 transfers will open up 8 slots for EARLY ENROLLEES which will count towards last year's class and NOT count toward the 25 max for this year. I cannot confirm that as accurate or true just what I was told.

86 - thank you for breaking it down completely about the family, me thinks the way I put it was too harsh or business like?
I'm also sure that there's a difference between a kid not living up to his star rating (which is set by who the hell knows on Rivals/Scout/ESPN) - and a kid not taking care of business to make himself better while being there ... basically, free-loading to an extent
Aldarius Johnson anyone? He openly admitted he took it easy the past how many years after he thought it was easy his Frosh year
I'm pretty sure a lot of coaches don't just cut a kid after one year b/c he doesn't perform up to his "star rating", again, given to him by some people that work at Scout/Rivals/ESPN ... if anyone can remember this ever happening, please bring up the kid and where it happened
Wouldn't the university and coaches get a rep among the nation about dumping kids, year to year, if that were to really happen? Good luck getting any kind of recruits then
Posted by: Six | November 28, 2011 at 12:13 PM
Jacory might have a career in Canada, arena bowl or practice squads...that's not meant to be mean..he is talented...just not NFL talented..imo

86, solar (I know you're out there brah), CGNC - remember that email I sent you last year about the guy I know that recruited for Shannon/Butch/Lane Kiffin and how he broke a LOT down to me on the how much better the recruiting should be for Miami and also a complete lack of a true "training table" there is at Miami .. how it is a complete joke there?
Here it is for everyone else, re-iterated by Coach Golden very recently ......
Q: You have your own system and expectations you’ve brought in.
Golden: "My methods are tailored to the University of Miami. We developed a culture at Temple, a process. They just graduated the winningest class at Temple – that’s 115 years. We’re going to develop that culture here that we become a real strong team. It’s not just in the weight room, it’s a culture, the expectations set by the head coach – nutrition, how we support the kids with training table in addition to weight room. We’ve made marked improvement, but there’s too many times on the field we’re getting pushed around. We have to get that fixed. As I said to the staff yesterday I think there’s a blessing that we’re not going to a bowl because we can fix our strength and size at the point of attack. Hopefully we can do that over the next seven weeks."
For those calling for Swasey, again, it's not really Swasey. Guy needs support to help his strength/conditioning by way of proper nutrition/training table for the players - and also needed a kick in the ass by a coach that was serious about getting the Canes back to where they should be strength/conditioning wise
Any true gym rats out there should've known and figured it out already. The big boys of college football have had this figured out for a while now (Bama, LSU, Wisky - even yes, FSU). If I'm not mistaken, didn't Jimbo make sure that there is a nutritionist on staff to monitor what the players are eating, how much, when, etc?
What do the Canes have? ...... some coaches in their first year having to introduce the players who have been here from the previous regime about a thing called "breakfast" and how you should probably eat it
Pathetic

Golden said he anticipates two other quarterbacks being here by Jan. 17 and having four quarterbacks in the program who will compete in spring football. "I think Stephen [Morris] made a lot of progress this year, has benefited from learning and growing and developing alongside Jacory, learning the system without having the pressure to produce week in and week out," Golden said. "There's something to be said for that. He's gotten better during the year. It's going to be great to see him, Ryan [Williams] and two kids we bring in mid-year compete."
