Tonight the first 2012 Presidential debate will dominate the airwaves on television and the Internet. Democratic and Republican candidates will face off to determine the fate, and the future, of our Nation.
But that same important debate has already been settled in the Miami Hurricanes lockeroom. The President of the 2012 UM team is a rising star in middle linebacker Denzel Perryman. His right hand man is outside linebacker and elected Vice President Eddie Johnson.
But does that make the Secretary of State Anthony Chickillo? I do think so!
While the Jedd Fisch coached University of Miami offense has garnered all of the press and attention in recent weeks the young and inexperienced defense coached by OGV's favorite punching bag Mark D'Onofrio actually may be starting to come together as originally planned.
OK, QUICK: Which UM defender made the most critical, spectacular, diving interception late in the game against NCST last week?
The correct answer is one of our Canespace favorites: CB Thomas Finnie. If not for Finnie's incredible effort QB Stephen Morris and WR Phillip Dorsett have not have had the chance to win the game with seconds left now would they?
There is no argument that six turnovers definitely helped the Hurricanes' cause at Sun Life Stadium against the Wolfpack last week in another all important ACC game.
The President (Perryman) and the Vice President (Johnson) are primed and ready to deliver on their promises made before the season even started. In the weight room, on the practice field and now during real games these players are clearly leading by example.
Just as you would want any leader to do. I would vote for them anytime.
How about U?
