Game Prediction: Duke will beat Duke.
That's right, Miami's Duke Johnson will single-handedly beat Duke University today in Durham, North Carolina.

It says right here that the final score will be your Miami Hurricanes 34, the Duke Blue Devils 20.

That is all. Please discuss.
Let's Go Canes!

This is a game we should win every year from now until forever. Coach D'Onofrio will probably make it close because he is a joke of a coordinator. Morris and Dorsett should hook up a few times today over the top. Duke Johnson should be a playmaker today. There is no way we lose. If we do... it will be because we need to fire Mark D'Onofrio.
Posted by: The Dude | November 24, 2012 at 12:05 PM
I will go with 48-24.
Posted by: The Dude | November 24, 2012 at 12:08 PM
Well said Dude... totally agree. (Only D'No will be staying even if the Blue Devils were to hang 100 on us... ) sigh.
Posted by: roachcane77 | November 24, 2012 at 12:09 PM
No prediction, we have no idea whether the team tanks it after the bowl ban like they did last year or if Golden can motivate them today. Hope he pulls a Jimmy Johnson and tells them even their own administration is against them, we had the best run ever after that speech. :)

Well, Duke is trying to keep the flags on offense rolling like they did to take themselves out of it last year but not as often. You can tell there's no stakes for either side by how listless they're both starting here.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 12:46 PM
Defense looking good, two straight stops.
Now offense needs to stirke quickly.
Posted by: 86Cane | November 24, 2012 at 12:47 PM
Crawford!!!

Walford....welcome to CFB!!! two weeks in a row.....btw now I know why this board goes crazy during game day. I have something to say after every play lol
Posted by: pbcfrcane13 | November 24, 2012 at 12:54 PM
online and early thoughts...
CB's playing 10 yds off the line, but so far Duke hasn't taken advantage...
Duke seems flat, thought they were better than this. A lot of mistakes, bad throws, drops, etc. They've missed some wide open recievers. No running game though.
"O" as usual putting up points.

walford having a career day!!!

Eddie Johnson suspended again ? Will he ever learn ?
Posted by: laquinton | November 24, 2012 at 01:00 PM
Jedd not giving a damn today by opening all the pages in the playbook.
I'm pretty sure Morris is tired of Walford woofing at him in practice so he's just going to throw it to him every time he's got a little window.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 01:00 PM
CB's no longer playing 10 yds off the los....

Wink, nod.
Posted by: 86Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:08 PM
What is up with EJ? Thats why you want to be able to RS as many freshamn as possible to they learn the in's and outs of CFB! I hope EJ and Scott learn what it takes to compete at big time CFB...its not just about on the field(even though that sucks) but about everything!
Posted by: pbcfrcane13 | November 24, 2012 at 01:08 PM
Wow....Duke pulling out all the stops early in the game, got lucky we recovered that
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:09 PM
Did I just hear Danny Dillard burned his redshirt on special teams in game 12? WTF?
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 01:09 PM
Can't say I agree going long on 1st down on this series...low percentage play...
and now we have to punt, waste of good field position
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:11 PM
Except the guy was open and Morris just overthrew him. I don't have a problem with going deep after what amounts to a turnover on the onside recover. It's football play calling 101.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 01:13 PM

Double digit lead = D'No calling plays with confidence.
Break out the light it up bag you got on entry.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 01:21 PM
Sad about EJ. He better get his off field stuff together and quick. Got a LOT of promise if he can keep it all together.
Tracy Howard with a BIG lick!!
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:22 PM
Danny Dillard is a large freshman RB who has been a special teams nightmare this year but hadn't played until apparently this week. Just another example of bad roster management IMO by this staff, but I'm sure that's chalked up to me personally not liking them by the Kool-Ade chuggers.

If we lose Eddie Johnson our LB core is not good! Only him and DP are good! Errrrrrrrrrrrrr
Posted by: Jack | November 24, 2012 at 01:26 PM
Im sick of seeing thurston over run, miss tackles take bad angles when his in!
Posted by: pbcfrcane13 | November 24, 2012 at 01:26 PM
tks on the DD info....makes to sense in week 12, and no bowl game, to play a RS freshman.....
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:26 PM
Duke passed or ran right at Gaines nearly every play on that drive. 0 tackles, 0 passes defended.
Posted by: j.w. | November 24, 2012 at 01:27 PM
Milian says Cornelius recovered that kick, not Dillard.
Posted by: j.w. | November 24, 2012 at 01:29 PM
Come on #34
Posted by: SinisterCane | November 24, 2012 at 01:29 PM
I have seen better defense in high school football than this! Man!! This is Duke for crying out loud!
Posted by: YooperCane | November 24, 2012 at 01:30 PM
good spot JW...... I'll watch to see if they keep it up...
U featuring Duke today, going for the freshman record......
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:31 PM
Wildcat w/ Dallas Crawford?
Someone who doesn't exist according to turds said something about that page in the playbook existing, funny that Jedd digs it out now though.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 01:32 PM
Walford is a beast!
Posted by: YooperCane | November 24, 2012 at 01:34 PM
Did we sign Walford as a free agent or something? Haven't see this all season.
Same for the wildcat look though. If I wish I could figure out our O scheme this season.......
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:35 PM
Can we just give it to Duke every play???
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:37 PM
Duke gonna get that record easy today
Posted by: Canezitis | November 24, 2012 at 01:37 PM
Duke will beat Duke.
Yeah I said it. Again.
Posted by: 86Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:37 PM
That TD clinches the LOF on offense for Duke, yes? Morris is his only real competition for it so I guess maybe we'll have to see who ends up with more TD's for the game?
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 01:38 PM
86 is that your Brittany Spears imitation??
LOL....oops I said it again, Duke beats Duke....
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:39 PM
Duuuuuuuuuke Johnson!!!
Posted by: Jack | November 24, 2012 at 01:39 PM
Agree, the Duke is the LOF.....

Posted by: 86Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:43 PM
Duke QB now 12 of 14.....starting to look like VA game again...
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:44 PM
Brandon Megee 3rd rounder??
Posted by: Jack | November 24, 2012 at 01:45 PM
wow again!! fake punt, onside kick, 4th down try at mid field, Duke is going for it all today!!!
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:46 PM
McGee playing a great game today. Third round NFL pick?
Posted by: 86Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:46 PM
86 he's in their because EJ can't keep himself on the field..AH
Posted by: pbcfrcane13 | November 24, 2012 at 01:47 PM
Mcgee round depends on how many CB's are in the draft. Might be to short for the NFL top rounds, but worth a try later on.
3rd is possible, maybe more like 4 or 5
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:48 PM
Duke time......
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:50 PM
No question Duke is LOF on O
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:50 PM
#34 needs to relax on the over-persuing. Always gets cut back on and falls down
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:52 PM
I must say...hard to remember Jacory after the season Morris has had....
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:52 PM
Run the ball. Twice.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 01:54 PM
Good series by the O with the short field. Plus used up the clock to end the half.
3 score lead....nicely done.
D played well for the 1st qt
Duke really hurt themselves with the onside kick and fake punt failures
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:55 PM
I love me some Mike James. Be like Mike!
Posted by: 86Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:56 PM
I hope Mike James gets drafted!
Posted by: Jack | November 24, 2012 at 01:57 PM
Duke needs about 3-4 yds for the record if I have my stats right.....
Do we play him any more once he breaks it? Or let him sit and get ready for next season?
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 01:58 PM
ltcf...if Morris becomes more consistent, sees the entire field better and developes more touch on his passes he can be GREAT.
Right now he is good, but he could be GREAT.
Posted by: 86Cane | November 24, 2012 at 01:58 PM
Either way Mike James will be on an NFL roster next year! He is a player coaches want on their team!
Posted by: pbcfrcane13 | November 24, 2012 at 01:58 PM
Duke moved the locker room closer than a mile? No wonder Wallace Wade isn't a tough place to play anymore for UM!
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 24, 2012 at 01:59 PM
86..right on....he's got the tools and poise to take it to the big time level.
Can't wait to see him next season with the WR's back, and the Duke alongside him.
The O will be ready for prime time
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 02:00 PM

Posted by: ARCane | November 24, 2012 at 02:22 PM
I'd sit Duke for here out....MJ deserves the playing time as a senior.
Duke has the future ahead of him....
Posted by: longtimecanefan | November 24, 2012 at 02:24 PM
I count one and a half steps and a football move before the ball was out. Overturned I bet.
