LB says: "I'd like to use Griffin as a Jimmy Graham/Randy Moss-ish role. Since Morris's accuracy is very good, get to the end zone and fade it to him. I think the 6'6" and 40 inch vertical would help on that front. If he catches on fast, he's going to be SICK."

I say: From what I saw of the UM offense under Coley I think they want to stretch the defense not only vertically (they will) but horizontally from sideline to sideline. Morris is really good at placing the ball along the sideline where his WR catches it or nobody does. Morris does a great back shoulder pass as well as the up and over the outside shoulder where the ball is protected from the defender.

I was impressed with Ryan Williams! ability to throw the ball over the nmiddle to the TE's. He does not have the arm strength of Morris to go to the sideline but he has a knack for knowing where to throw the ball with touch and loft over the LBs and in front of the safeties. Now I think he did throw one to Perryman also (was that Williams?) so he is not perfect but he looked better than Crow in the Spring Game event though Crow looked much better in the Naples Scrimmage. Both still need work.

And not only His ball placement on the sidelines, but His ability to do it from the FAR HASH!

NCAA enforcement re: Miami motion to dismiss. "based on assumptions, false accusations, misleading statements and meritless claims ..."

Me speaking for UM: "Really? How about we go to a court of law and decide who is being false and misleading? U see there is this thing called "evidence", U may have heard of it? No, well yeah, OK I thought so..."

Ohio...I saw U spammed it, then I deleted it. It's all good, we got this!

BTW... from the Spring game I agree with Coke on one point for sure (FSU fans do NOT read this) Tyriq McCord is not an LB and looks lost in zone coverage. I think UM is bluffing the opposition by calling him an LB, he WILL rush the passer of the edge.

thirstybuzzardcane

So how does this all work when we go in front of the infraction committee, in June? Is the infraction committee like a jury and hear both sides of the case? Fill me in if you guys know.

LB

"I think UM is bluffing the opposition by calling him an LB, he WILL rush the passer of the edge."

That's a distinct possiblity, sort of like a Kevin Greene.

UpNorthCane

This whole NCAA crap just gives me a headache lol... It comes a point where the NCAA has to just say, " Guys lets wrap this up, lets let it go, before we catch more of a beating"....

Miami vs Alabama in this years BCS title Game. Benedict Arnold aka Cristobail will regret having left UM. Um wins a close one 27-24.

Terrance Sullivan

Yes sir UpNorthCane. I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully that will happen and the party in LA and Miami respectively will be off the hook.

LB

Listening to Golden's interview with Sid, he mentioned Griffin as a WR.

ESPN College Football Rumors has Florida and Georgia as the top two schools for Sony Michel. The U isn't mentioned. Praying that they are dead wrong.

Those are wildly speculative and inaccurate. Most of the time, they get it wrong. If it shows up here from one of us or our sources, then I'd start to worry...

...if you do worry about recruiting.

Section 130 Row 23 East End Zone Crew Baby. Cant wait till August 30th. I am calling it now. 12-2 We beat Floriduh, We win the ACC Coastal and Championship and win the Discover Orange Bowl finish in the top 10 baby.

herbieibis

I don't buy the Turds being one of Sony's destinations. It's between us & Georgia and I hate to say it but the Dawgs may have the upper hand.

Clwtrdan

Regarding Sony,
He seems to have handled himself well so far in the recruiting process and, even though I'm a diehard Cane, I don't begrudge a kid his choice if he wants to get away from home for college. I played hoops and had a lot of close by offers but wanted to go way for college. Here's hoping he decides to stay home.

Clwtrdan

Soup,
I know a lot of you cats on here get some good info not known to the general public and we appreciate your input. That said, I've had a few conversations with an aquaintance of mine who stated, when we talked about Ty moving to backer, "Oh I don't know man. Ty ain't that great in space. He's a point of attack guy".He is a reliable source. So I agree. They will probably use his burst and quickness to rush the passer. Cuz the man is a stud.
