Rhuh-Rhoo...Has anybody recently seen Old Skool or NativeCane???

A drunk man in Alaska who threw barbequed meat at a bear was mauled over the weekend.

Apparently the man was at the Eklutna Lake Campground on Saturday for a church picnic. And according to Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen.

“He’d been drinking,” she said.

The man’s name is not being released because he may be charged with illegally feeding wildlife. Troopers believe sometime around 5pm on Saturday he broke off from the picnic and decided to go for a bike ride – bringimg some barbeque along. Sometime later the man ran into the bear. And that’s when he offered the bear his BBQ.

“That’s when it kind of went ballistic,” Ipsen said.

The bear mauled the man, puncturing skin along his jaw and leaving him with scratches along his back. Park rangers later found the bloodied man washing himself off at the campground. Alaska Department of Fish and Game spokesman Ken Marsh said: “He wasn’t terribly coherent. He was unsure of where the attack actually happened.”

Old Skool

I'm here.
I learned long ago that the best way to feed bears is with a sling shot.

I'm curious to know what kind of church he belongs to.

Old Skool

Not seeing my response. Typepad may be hungry

Interesting...so does attending camps, make some kids over-rated...and does not attending camps, make some kids under-rated...Jimbo Fisher on Demarcus Christmas:

"If Christmas would've went to some Rivals camps, he would've been the #1 or #2 player in the whole country. Guy comes in and says, "I'm going to FSU, I don't want to talk to any coaches, I don't want to go to no Rivals camps, (and) I don't want to go to no Under Armour All-American games. I'm going to FSU." And if He would've, He'd been ranked at the top of everybody's board."

Terrance Sullivan

Rock interesting stuff there man. 3 days till 4 days in South Florida. Cant wait.

Terrance Sullivan

Old Skool your wit is priceless man.

So who was the guy on here killing me for making the suggestion that UM look into doing a joint stadium? Doesn't did so far fetch now does it. I've said this from day one this MLS team was an idea. Let's hope we can get this done. Like I said a 40k stadium would be perfect.

NativeCane

“Some days you go bear hunting and you get eaten. Some days you come home with a nice rug to roll around on, and bear steaks. What they don't tell you as a kid is that sometimes you get the rug and steaks, but you also get some nice scars to go with them. As a child you don't understand that you can win, but that's it's not always worth the price. Once you understand and accept that possibility you become a real grown up, and the world becomes a much more serious place. Not less fun, but once you realize what can go wrong, it's a lot scarier to go hunting "bears".”

Dem Canes!!!

Cane Since 1982

Cane Since 1982

Ok so who is going to come with the symbolism of hunting owls?

VfB_Cane

Solid effort with 11 runs on 12 hits. Only one error and all pitchers on top of their game.
The series against the Gators next weekend should give as a clue where this team stands.

VfB_Cane

Maybe we can skip that one and bring back to Soup's pictures of captured Gators?

Cane Since 1982

U never want to over look the Hooters

Terrance Sullivan

Lol at a 40K stadium would be perfect. Child Please.

The Dude

Baseball is the ultimate take a nap game. I can't even come close to counting how many times I've fell asleep watching my Padres.

Terrance Sullivan

Real Talk if peeps like PBC said a stadium of 55K would be perfect, most people could roll with that but talking and acting like 40K would be ideal is quite frankly laughable. IJS.

The Dude

TS,

I'd go 40k for most games, then head to Sunlife for big games.

Terrance Sullivan

Good luck with that.

The Dude

Yeah, not saying it will happen, just that its the ideal situation.

Go Canes

40k with an adequate number of suites would bring the number to 55k or so, which would be enough.

SOUP

GO CANES!!!

SOUP

Chris Freet ‏@ChrisFreet 16m

Another wide open college baseball season is upon us. 14 of the top 25 teams, including 5 in top 10, lost a game on Friday/Saturday

VfB_Cane

An ideal situation would have Canes and soccer at a renovated Orange Bowl and Baseball someplace else (near the airport, for example).
If you sum up the funds needed for the soccer stadium and the gazillions that went down the drain for Marlins park, you'd even have money to spare. What a shame.

Sounds a lot like "twerking"? LOL

Cane Since 1982

SOUP,

was just looking at the schedule and it figures that when ill be down that way for a wedding our boys will be in tally for the weekend. Looks like the first games I will be seeing in person will be the mid March series a GT.

Anyone on here think they might be going to a game during that series. I think I might grab a hotel in the ATL for the weekend and go to all 3 games.

Lurker

Joint soccer/UM stadium NOT happening. Sorry.

Not feasible financially.

Of course, UM will say they'll listen to any proposals, because they don't want to alienate anyone for no reason and they want to sound reasonable. But the money is not there and neither is the will from the base that actually attends games.

The only people gung ho for this are people that don't understand the economics involved or message board fanboys that never actually attend games. Sorry to burst your bubble.

4-Real

Lurker, u seem 2 be against the idea of Miami sharing a NEW stadium with Beckham & co. What gives?

The Dude

Lurker just shows up to try to kill conversation. It's his routine here.

The Dude

Just like Go Canes and 30Cinco only show up to defend Al Golden, then blame everyone else of beating a dead horse.

4-Real

Anybody that defends Golden ( at this moment ) AND wish against Miami gettin outta Sun Lifeless CAN'T be a TRUE Hurricane! Lol

The Dude

We have our 1st hike planned SOUP. Kelly Canyon next month, its light hiking but the baby will only be 7 months old, so its a warm up to bigger things and a chance to test some new gear.

The Dude

4-Real,

It sucks to see that stadium so empty. Its always being mentioned by the national media too.

NativeCane

Sounds a lot like "twerking"? LOLPosted by: SOUP | February 16, 2014 at 05:18 PM

Yup!
We dont have to Devin Hester fast, just faster than Old Skool and TSully! LOL

Dem Canes!!!

NativeCane

^^^^^be^^^^^

4-Real

45-50k stadium would be perfect 4 UM.

Go Canes

Not sure why my name came up in this conversation but I'd love nothing more than a deal to be worked out for a combo stadium.

But I have very little faith it ever will.

The only place that will work for UM is Tropical Park and I doubt Beckham wants his team to play there. They wouldn't even get past that hurdle so the bigger ones that followed are irrelevant.

Cane Since 1982

My plan for the stadium ahs already been put in to motion. It has been my plan from the day they plowed our beloved stadium.

1. Build a new stadium on top of the OB site. (DONE)

2. move the Marlins to it. Farther away from the Palm Beach County money, where no one speaks English, and put them in a parking garage for tailgating. This will make sure no one ever shows up for the Marlin games. Oh and put a really shitty product on the field. (DONE DONE and DONE)
(and rename them to the city instead of the state to further alienate the outside fan base)

3. The Marlins move to a city that will support them (Soon to be done)

4. City drops some money to save face on building the stadium in the first place and converts it to a football stadium.

5. THE U moves back to the OB.

KYcane

5. THE U moves back to the OB.
