Wow did you delete my post about VA Cane spewing his political hate agenda. Va stated that the sitting president hate his own troops but my post get deleted? I served in 2 wars under repubicans and democrats and I don't remember any sailors questioning any unjust hate from the Oval Office. When orders are given we knuckle the fuck up and bring the pain. When you can't even enjoy sports without envoking politics into it says a lot about you. For those that feel Obama hates the troops quit letting TV spin your emotions

NO POLITICS!! NO POLITICS!! NO POLITICS!!

I like the "Miami" wording on the new uniforms, not sure I like the rest. Then again I dont think none of the images Ive seen did the uniforms much justice, might look better on the field. I will note we must be the only program that gets their uniforms reviled at a club on south beach lol

About damn time.

Now how about that indoor practice facility!

CaneRock

UMike...IDK dawg, bout the only thing I didn't understand with the new unis, was the stripes going though the 3 stripes on the football pants. Other than that, I thought Adidas did a good job. Yesterday I said that white go hard, but now I'm likin' that emerald green better. Those gloves go hard, too.

UMike

30..I agree the all white is nice in that gallery...just a huge fan of them...but at least their not ugly lol

UMike

CR..IDK..like I said might look better to me on the field...not saying their ugly....I do love the "Miami" on the front though

Terrance Sullivan

And I love the fact the Jerseys are 65 dollars as opposed to 90 dollars for last year's Jerseys when they came out. Go Canes.

CaneRock

I thought Nike used too much black in their color schemes. Had us lookin' like crappy valley when we played Pitt last year.

Lur-ker

Really like the refresh using the traditional basic uniform.

That "miami" on the front with the very unique Miami font is a home run.

CaneRock

"65 dollars"? Shiiiiid, good thing I'ma Reebok dude. I can get an all black ST26 Redskins jersey for less than 30 LMAO!

CaneRock

And Nike done lost they babbit @$$ mind sellin' those things for 90.

UMike

After looking more..I do like the pants lol

30CINCO

They have a little video from the event. I think all 3 colors with white pants look fresh.

Go Canes

All the uniforms will look amazing, if we are winning.

UMike

Anyone going to the UNC game?

30CINCO

Hightop cleats are also fresh. Would wear them to work if I could...

http://solecollector.com/news/miami-hurricanes-adidas-uniforms-cleats/

The Dude

The pants had to match the sleeve stripe. Like I said, as a base, thses things are a homerun. Traditional with new designs. Now we just need some surprises sprinkled in like all black, or something really exotic for playing against Duke or something. Mostly traditional with a few sprinkles.

CaneRock

The pants had to match the sleeve stripe.

Yeah...I just noticed from the front, the sleeve stripe looks like feathers.

There is a very high correlation between the volume of fan chatter about unis and lack of wins.

They have (from what I read) 2 "special" uniforms/helmets for two games this year. One is a supposedly a sick looking all black. I don't know what the other one is.

I don't know what the other one is.

From Ariz:

Pinckney has high hopes for the Canes

The theme for Miami’s recruiting classes over the past few cycles has been decommitments late in the season. 2016 linebacker commit Michael Pinckney (Raines) is confident that this year’s crop of commitments is different.

“To be a part of this class is just special. I feel like we know that we have to stick together. All them other dudes that decommitted were just bandwagon players and they listened to other people. We are coming here to build something back from the ground up. Anybody can go to like a Florida State where it’s already built, but we want to do something special,” said Pinckney.

The 6-1, 215-pound weakside linebacker explained his current workout regiment.

“I have our regular team workouts from Monday-Friday and then on the weekends I work with my personal speed coach. It’s a big process and I don’t take time off. There is no offseason.”

Pinckney has had an up close look at the Canes and gave his thoughts on the upcoming season.

“Their season will go as far as they want it to go. I see the work they’re putting in everyday and they are constantly moving. They have something to prove because people say they’re down and out.”

One of the reasons for Pinckney’s optimism about the Miami program is quarterback Brad Kaaya.

“Brad is just an outstanding player. He’s a quiet, laid back guy who does what he needs. I can already tell you that he will be a Heisman candidate this year because I see how he works and he takes pride in what he does. He’s what we need to lead this program.”

Pinckney’s thoughts on Miami’s new Adidas branding?

I’m happy they came out good. I’m feeling the cleats and everything about the look.

The aggressive linebacker has a message to Canes nation.

“No matter how everybody’s opinion is on this class, we are a family. I was really born into this and I want to be a part of it and take it to the next level.”

TheeMackJones

I'm still LOL at ' go cane ' and his Canespace kindred's relatives saying, that the late great FDR was leading the USA down the road of SOCIALISM! lmfao

Well, as ' The Dude ' succinctly pointed out. The USA had been taken down the path of major CORPORATISM. Nothing more, nothing less.

Chit, the late great FDR's ' Socialist ' policies were implemented to keep the major bankers and corporations in relative check. Unfortunately most of those policies have been rescinded and what not.

Fox News has half the country believing that feeding hungry kids is un-American, as if Somehow being born to low
Functioning parents is their fault. Meanwhile MSNBC has the other half of the country believing that anybody who has money is a thief whose wealth should be redistributed.

The truth is that we live in a plutocracy. It doesn't matter if a politician is a Repub or Dem, if that politician holds an office he is owned. Policies are written by special interests under the guise of think tanks, and nobody cares. There is only one thing as bad as a republican, and that's a democrat.

We the people argue amongs each other, meanwhile if the rightest of right wing nuts and the looniest leftist liberal on this site wrote out and compared their beliefs, they'd probably agree on 95% of the issues.

I just wish 1 or 2 of those billionaires who ultimately decide policy would decide to redistribute some of their wealth to the canes... Is that too much to ask???

Lur-ker

Dude 30cinco is right I believe. The other alternate is supposed to be some version of all white.

Also, it's dead time, that's why people are talking about uniforms, otherwise it's just sitting around and waiting for practice to start.

Sad thing is AG apparently allowed it for 4 years and now that his job is possibly on the line he is doing the things he should have done initially. It takes a coach to make make players believe and live TEAM. If you can't, what is the purpose of you being there?

Posted by: U | July 20, 2015 at 08:37 PM

Probably, but there was a tremendous amount of churn in the roster in the first three years. The team was lopsided towards juniors and seniors in 2011. In 2012 and 13, it was lopsided towards freshmen and sophomores. Last year was the first time there was some stability, and this year was the first time that the roster has been balanced between first, second, third, and four year players in a long time.

Posted by: CaneRock | July 20, 2015 at 06:26 PM

Kind of. I remember when Shannon took over, there was a lot of preseason hype by the players. One of them called up Melvin Bratton to say, "We're back".

Then again, not certain if I've heard the accountability before. That was something that the 2000-2001 Canes were big on, and it quickly eroded afterwards. If Miami's seniors are stepping it up and re-establishing an internal, players-only enforced culture of accountability, that cannot hurt.

Sorry but I don't believe in all the blame goes to the coaches when things go bad just like I don't believe Coaches get all the credit when a team is successful. Last I checked the players factor into this equation as well. But people are stubborn as hell and don't like to see the truth even when it's staring them in the face. So when he had it rolling from 2000-2003 seasons was it all just Butch and Larry. And I guess Ed, Ken, Sean, Vince, Kellen, Andre, Clinton, Willis, Vernon, DJ, Jonathan, Joaquin, Brett, Mike, Najeh, Matt, etc had no part in the success hub LOL hahaha pure freaking Comedy.

According to some on here:

90% coaches
10% players

CaneRock

When the team loses, it's 100% on the coaches.

When the team wins, it's 100% on the players.

When the team gives it their all, and they still lose, a WELL COACHED team blames themselves.

That's not what I'm hearing outta Coral Gables these days...all I hear is a buncha confusion & denial.

Respect

If the CANEZ fall short of expectations it's safe to say the players wont get their pink slips

UMike

The accountability thing was big wen we were successful, so I hope it is true, but we have heard that year in and year out in the per-seaon from returning players. Their not going to come out and blame a coach or system.

I do hope its true and it has an effect, but its one of those things you got to see to believe.

Go Canes

Just listening to the radio. Romberg says what he's hearing out of the Gables is finally what he's been waiting for. Nothing from the coaches, only players self policing.

Said last year Kaaya was too young and inexperienced do what he's doing now. Similarities to Dorsey is scary and without a guy like that it's very difficult to succeed.

CaneRock

The accountability thing was big wen we were successful,

Posted by: UMike | July 21, 2015 at 08:51 AM

The accountability thing was big because they didn't have a choice LMAO! Can't find it now...but there's a more extended version of the Ed Reed speech, that features Coker giving this boring halftime pep talk, and the players lookin' at em' like He's crazy. Hell, the players in TUP2 said Coker was a "substitute teacher".

1mg of Epi

We can talk about blaming it on the players when:
-LBs aren't lined up 10 yards off the ball on the goal line.
-A one dimensional team isn't able to run the ball 15 times in a row vs a prevent D.
-The same short pass over the middle isn't hit over and over w no adjustment.
-The offense isn't called primarily to keep the D off the field.

Until the coaching staff gets their ish together on gamedays, no amount of player accountability will win games.

CaneRock

Said last year Kaaya was too young and inexperienced do what he's doing now.

Posted by: Go Canes | July 21, 2015 at 08:52 AM

This is true, Kaaya said it Himself:

“I can't tell a guy who is four years older than me and has a kid or a guy who is about to get married [what to do],” Kaaya said. “I realized it when I first got in. I didn't want to come in and start bossing guys around.”

The decline of the traditional American female (black and white)the last 20-30 years which used to be the backbone of this Country, is just stunning. How they allow themselves, as the truly superior gender to have literally litters of children, from multiple irresponsible partners that they cannot afford and must be supported by others is a moral breakdown of epic proportions that can never be sustained. Simply put, the more kids you have, the bigger the Government check to support ones lack of personal responsibility. (ladies, yes I know, the men have responsibilities too... but we are just as dumb today as we've always been when our knuckles drug on the ground. It's just that way with two heads and a plethora of women that continue to allow it to be so.)

Sorry for the personal morality opine coming from a whiteboy that grew up in the Gables in the 60's-70's-80's Youth Center and SW Miami Boys Club days... but I'll always remember the great times hanging out in the Old Grove with the Colzie, McGahee, Jenkins, Brown and many other families on game weekends for cookouts & Church and quality friends and family times... And that's just what people were back then. Hard working proud family units with Moms-Pops-Gram-Gramps-Aunties & Uncles that would WHOOOP some ASS as if any lil shorties EVER got out of line.

As a teacher, these young lil hoochie momma wannabe kids I see now a days main problems today are 1.) if they lose their damn cell phone 2.) if they can't get a job because they're so underqualified option #2 or #3 (right after continuing to look for a good job) is Bang Bus Porn as a viable option.
