And just imagine what Richards (who is fasrer) can run.

CaneRock

We'll see when Richards gets there, but for now, great job by Coley.

CaneRock

Stacy did a helluva job blocking this year also, threw a key block on Richards TD in the RAB.

Go Canes!

Aside from the 12 penalties.

Just kidding, he's a heck of a prospect and someone is going to get a heck of a player.

Gets kicked out of the most important job interview of His life, on a Friday...Chris Tucker would have a field day with this:

"Former Alabama ILB and potential first-round pick Reuben Foster has been sent packing from the NFL combine after a “heated altercation” between him and a hospital worker occurred, ESPN reported Saturday.

The expulsion from the NFL’s annual combine for incoming rookies, held each year in Indianapolis, obviously could hurt Foster’s stock ahead of next month’s NFL draft in Philadelphia. As a result of being sent home, Foster missed formal interviews with teams scheduled for Friday night and Saturday.

An NFL spokesman told ESPN only that Foster was being sent home for “personal reasons.”

According to the report, Foster was waiting for his “pre-exam” for a long time and the delay agitated him. When he questioned what was happening, the hospital worker did not like the inquisition and that sparked the argument.

I have to say that since the foundation of this site, the last four weeks have probably been the best month in an off season ever. Seeing what is happening now..:the night vs day difference on the field and off of it...it reminds me of programs like Alabama who struggled in the early 90s despite good recruiting, and then quickly picked up once Sabah was hired.
It really shows how much we have been underperforming in the last decade, and what can happen when an admin decides to get serious about funding its program. I credit Shalala highly for not bowing to political and media pressure and suspending the program in 2006 (after the FIU fight) or 2011 after the Shapiro mess. But I hold her to fault for keeping Miami's investment in football at an FIU level for years, letting us fall behind other programs, and wasting a decade.

Meant early 2000s when Bama was struggling

DAMN!...John Ross from UW runs a 4.22.

College Hockey Fun Facts

Hockey players will often play junior leagues before aging out at 21. Then they start their college career.

Big Ten deputy commissioner Brad Traviolia has estimated at least two-thirds of the 2015-16 freshman class reached its 20th birthday before playing a game in college. The average age of college players is nearly 22.

Quinnipiac, for example, had one 25-year-old and five 24-year-olds on its 29-man roster this weekend.

I pity the 18 year olds that have to play against that.

BigWindyCane1

Canes men basketball playing at Florida State right now and leading 17-15, with 10:12 left in the first half

Old Skool

57-54 Noles at half. I think

Old Skool

Er make that 37-34 at the half. Dyslexic reading

Old Skool

Now 44 to 40 Noles

nemo2002

We ain't looking good in the second half.

BigWindyCane1

FSU's height and zone defense are problematic

Lady Canes lose!
Men's team loses too!
Bad day for UM basketball.

nemo2002

Meanwhile, what's the problem with UM baseball team? Our start this season has not been good.

Terrance Sullivan

The young man doesn't get the million or the island because he signed with Nike and not Adidas maybe Nike will match Adidas offer if Nike got the guts to do that lol.

Terrance Sullivan

Both our Men and Women's basketball teams lose today. Ugh regroup and get ready for next game. Go Canes!

Terrance Sullivan

Come on Canes baseball let's get back on the winning track by beating Dartmouth.

All that talent Hamilton has, but yet His teams can be boring as hell to watch.

BJ won AD of the year. We miss that?

Dude (Operating Insomniac Level 7)

I read that too Epi. Was trying to think of a good appology to tweet him, with out actually admitting I did anything wrong, lol.

Nothing on UM web site about it?

I did find something on line at another site so it is true but weird that UM did not mention it at all?

86Cane

He was among four that were selected.

nemo2002

So, when are we going to start building the IPF?
The longer we wait the more expensive it will be (because construction costs are rising).
And the more expensive it will be the longer we wait (because UM won't start construction unless the total cost is raised before construction begins).
This then is U'r classic Catch 22.

Quick update: Were still in a very good spot to land LSU DT transfer Glen Logan. Will know after Spring.

I think I've posted it here before but just saw an update from Ariz

I said all along that he was a first round pick.

Old Skool

Thanks guys. The fun time was last night. Didn't play any rock and roll. That's Native's specialty.

Went to an speakeasy themed restaurant and bar that specialized in hand-crafted cocktails. Yepp, you had to knock on the door and give them the password.

Had charred octopus, crab cakes with aioli, duck fat steak fries, pretzel/monkey bread with a gruyere/mustard dipping sauce all washed down with some aged rum concoctions. Twas excellent. I'm surprised I remember it.

Herbieibis

Dam oldskool, wish I'd been their to celebrate with u because I would have to have drank a lot just to pronounce some of those dishes u ate.

Herbieibis

Can't cut the baseball team no slack, they STINK! I don't care how young they may be, u don't get shut out twice by Dartmouth. No hitting sisters of the poor and strike out Queens to boot.

Old Skool

Herbie however you pronounce it was Damn good

As for Dartmouth, they don't offer sports scholarships. We lost twice to a team full of walk-ons.

The writing on the wall just got a lot bigger for Morris.

Nice article. One thing is for sure, and that is that Miami has some really good players committed - the kind of players multiple championships are made of. Lingard and Davis are one of the best pair of running backs the Canes have recruited in one class. The 2016 OL was the best OL recruiting class the Canes have had in the last two decades. I hope they can keep the momentum in recruiting going. A ten-win season and the coastal division championship this season should deliver a top 5 recruiting class for the Canes in 2018

Florida continues to produce lots of talent, more than it did 15-20 years ago when Butch was at the U. South Florida talent pool is absolutely ridiculous. It seems CMR is doing a good job of figuring things out and has made an impact on the high-level recruits and coaches here.

BigWindyCane1

Devon Reed made All ACC third team and ACC All Defensive team. Way to go!

3/8 noon vs. Syracuse in ACC tnmt opener.

TonyCane

Fascinating article. To paraphrase Rogue One, recruiting is built on hope. We have it now, moreso than I have seen in a decade. And coaching aside, it's why Golden could never build on his strength - he was a good salesperson - once Miami was faced with the possibility of serious sanctions. Hope had been ruined in 2011 before it could even be built, leaving Golden and co to make due on projects, a good but not overpowering roster, and their coaching prowess.

Go Canes!

Morris will leave on his own terms, which I believe has been predetermined to be after next season.

He's earned that right imo.

This article was written a year ago (before Richt was hired). Very prophetic.
