No he'll be a lead foot too but he is about 6'6, which hopefully he'll be a little tougher to bring down, unlike tuck your head and get crunched Kaaya.

Is there anything worse than a crick in the neck?

Burned corneas ... You don't want to know

And from what I hear ... kidney stones are as close as males will ever get to the pain of childbirth.

Guess you two haven't been bumped ever. One airline changed my seat after I had checked in without informing me about 10 years ago and I haven't flown them since. But, in this particular case:

1. The flight was not overbooked so it seems the regular overbooking rules don't apply here. United needed four seats to transport four crew members for a flight the next morning. What happens if the crew didn't get there on time? That flight in the morning gets cancelled or delayed and United loses a lot of money. So, United had a choice. They could have offered cash instead of vouchers and should have conducted an auction like many other airlines do. United could also have hired Uber to drive their crew to Louisville or hired a private plane.

2. Normally, the overbooked passengers are not allowed to board if there are no vacant seats on the plane. However, United boarded everyone who had a ticket and found out they needed four seats very late. United's fault here. They could have asked everyone to disembark the aircraft and could've made the offer then.

3. Chicago Aviation Police department has suspended the three officers who pulled the man off the seat and dragged him like an animal. They also came out and said the procedures were not followed. It is not the passenger's fault in that case.

4. Obviously, the passenger had issues. He was trying to resurrect his medical practice and the last thing he wanted was to miss seeing his patients. With permission only for a limited practice, he wanted to be there and the $800 United was offering in vouchers was not a fair trade. In addition, they were giving him a seat on a plane the following afternoon at 3pm. What gives?

5. Clearly, if it were me, I would have gotten off the plane, rented a car and driven to Louisville. But, because of this incident, procedures are going to be looked in to and change is going to be made. Hopefully, no one gets kicked off the plane in this fashion. United is going to feel the brunt of it, but the way in which the passenger was pulled off his seat was downright nasty.

CR and WWIN, hope you both get bumped off each and every flight from now on, so you lose multiple days of work in exchange of useless vouchers that can only be used on the airline that bumped you.
