I can't believe it,

Dude

Dos.

Dude

Looking at Mark Pope footage and realizing he's faster than I thought. He gets to the corner and separates fairly well. I dont think he's Coley fast, but we will see. He's really good at making an extra move.

Lol SEC caliber I hope the staff is better than Vanderbilt, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, U know that's the SEC. By the way Clemson is the National Champs was the runner up last year and gave us our worst beating ever but hardly gets mentioned. Sometimes I shake my head with the rhetoric on here. Do better.

Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | April 21, 2017 at 11:28 PM

Gotta agree w Sully. The SEC is Alabama. The ACC has been better as a conference (or at least as good) for a minute already.

Do they still not matter?

.....and he has vowed to continue channeling his inner Johnny Cash til the Canes win a NC!

Dem Canes!!!

TonyCane

Sully, yes Miami got absolutely DESTROYED by Clemson. Humiliated. A loss that sent Alberto del Golden to the Detroit. That said, even with the most bizzare defensive schemes seen in the history of college football, even with a depleted roster that was hampered by an NCAA investigation and then penalties, we still won most of our games. And yes, we should have because despite all of this, we still had more talent than anyone in the ACC except FSU.

My point is this. CM RIcht was a top tier SEC coach. Not Saban, but then again he does not own his own auto dealerships and does not have an athletic department more flush with cash than the UK's naval budget. But good enough. And very, very competent. So if the Canes could do well enough with all of the negative factors above, what will happen when they have a good coach coupled with not 27 four star players, but soon 48?

TonyCane

Not Saban level, is what I was trying to say in the second paragraph

I think the issue is with using the term "SEC level", as if the SEC is a superior conference. Maybe they were a few years ago, but I don't think they are today. Take Alabama out and they have nothing. The ACC has playoff level teams, a slew of very good new coaches and a sleeping giant that is stirring.

At this point the sec is more espn hype than anything, and we shouldnt put them on a pedestal.

1mg Of epi

** 2 playoff level teams.

Go Canes!

For once something I like from Ferman: Guys like Lingard and Davis at RB embracing each other. Same with Mallory and Jordan at TE. That was what made the Miami greats so great

Just gonna say this again for those that missed it:

I'll be SHOCKED if N'Kosi Perry isn't our starter Game 1

^^^ agree

TonyCane

When I said SEC caliber, I was thinking more of 2006 -2015. An era that includes Richt

TonyCane

And also when saying SEC caliber, that means spending the appropriate money on coaches.

WWIN, I'm happy to see you got the "Hell Yeah".

I try to do what I can do when I can do it- Vic Daemon Jr.

Agree but again, i really don't like the feeling of going into the fall with all our hopes pinned on a true freshman.

UMike

At the moment, 13 of Miami's 16 committed are ESPN300 players..Should easily badd another 2-4 or more to that list

Dude

Happy Earth day everyone, go get some sunshine.

SinisterCane

I the game televized?

CaneRock

I feel better going into the season starting a true freshman with Richt, than with Shannon & Golden.

BigWindyCane1

Great recruiting class being assembled by CMR. The Canes have had some great players and recruiting classes over the last two decades, but this class is the best in terms of both quality and quantity since Butch left. All of these recruits have the potential to play at a high level. No reaches. It seems that the DMR and the coaches stick to their recruiting principles, and if they feel a particular recruit is good, they go after him and get him. It appears that there will be a good year on the field and on the recruiting trail.

Posted by: Ohio_Cane | April 22, 2017 at 09:54 AM

Totally disagree. He will not start game 1.

Young Mr. Perry MAY start by game 4 or 6 but ONLY if the other starter(s) fail miserably first.

CaneRock

CIS:

Rosier is the best fit for the rpo it works best with him running it he threw a pick 6 to malek young but he came back out and threw a 75 yard touchdown to Ar-15.

Darien owens Was starting with the first team pinkney with the second.

Owens must be back to form if He's runnin' with the 1st team.

Peter Ariz ✔@PeterAriz
Richt says that Evan Shirreffs and Malik Rosier are co-number one QBs at the end of spring camp. Added more competition is coming

SinisterCane

CIS:
All of the QB's threw picks, none of them looked all that great, Allison made some nice passes, but had some bad reads as well.

Rosier & Shirreffs are the co-leaders as of now, but in all honesty neither of them were impressive.

Hell, Augie "The Million Dollar arm" DiBiase even had a nice run lol.

Weldon looked solid at times, but was very erratic, he threw a TD, but also had a pick & was getting pressured a lot.

Idk man I've been all over the place with how I feel about the QB's, Ima just wait til Fall before I'm really all in with any of'em.

SinisterCane

Susan Miller Degnan ✔@smillerdegnan
Per @CanesFootball:
Allison: 12 for 16, 104 yds, 2 TDs, 1 INT
Rosier: 8 for 18, 169 yds, 2 TDs, 2 INTs
Shirreffs: 7 for 17, 75 yds, 1 INT

Dude

Allison has the best stat line.

CaneRock

Seems like Young is our best CB.

Dude

Did the QBs get hit?

Dude

Chatman to LSU. A 3* DT I really thought had upside.

Dude

With Chatman off the board, who are we looking at for DT?

Recruiting looks the best it has in years and The Herb means years. With that said we still have to have the ink dried. We needed DB help and we have it, we got speed at WR and they will probably add one more and who ever is that one more, will be at least a 4. Starting to get depth of talent, that I have been howling about for 6 years. Have no LB's verbed yet and hope we get a couple good ones. Need to get at least one more DT but we still have plenty of time.
Don't see Perry coming in and starting. Dude has has a serious weight issue. 6'4 and all of a string bean 180. I wouldn't be surprised after fall camp that either Rosier or Allison are the 2 Qb's battling it out. Spring All Americans mean nothing.
