I wish Sonny well. Sonny was a affable person and popular with fans at the game. He helped fill some gaps on the OL, and was a Al Golden recruit. But Sonny lost his position to injury, and now St. Louis and Donaldson will significantly upgrade the talent level on the OL. Still, Sonny helped bridge the gap last season and he should find significant playing time at another FBS program

BigWindyCane1

The Canes got some serious talent upgrades last season, but this season will be off the charts. The newcomers will make significant contributions across the board. The 2015 class contributed more than any freshmen class at the U since the 2008 class with all the freshmen who played. The difference is CMR's freshmen contributed at lot more than Shannon's did, and CMR won 9 games and a convincing bowl win, instead of 7-6 record under Shannon.

Having seen many of these players in high school, I believe CMR has recruited some extraordinary talent over the past two recruiting cycles - maybe the best in the entire country. The quantity is small, but the quality is amazing

Losing Sonny sucks.

First off let's go Canes Beat GT tomorrow morning. Thanks for the blogs on our Canes baseball team this team has underperformed I. A major way this season hopefully they can dig deep and beat GT tomorrow and upset Wake Forrest on Thursday afternoon and put themselves in prime position to make a 45th straight NCAA tournament. Sorry to see Sonny leave. Thanks for your 4 Years of service to the U. And I am proud the Young Man has his degree. Good luck Young Man.

It won't. All you can do is contain it! This is exactly why Muslims need to be vetted before entering our country. I know it doesn't sound nice to do, but if you can save precious lives then I'm all for it.

Muslims shouldn't mind being vetted if they have nothing to hide, I know I wouldn't.

If an upperclassman who started and just about everyone expected to be a contributor or even a starter again transfers, it's cause he's been passed on the depth chart.

Why is that spin?

The University of Miami football program has added former Miami Northwestern and Louisville receiver Michaelee Harris as an offensive graduate assistant, a source told CanesInSight. Harris spent last season on the Illinois staff as an offensive analyst.

The former four-star prospect from the class of 2010 was recruited by Miami but chose Louisville.

Couldn't have said it any better myself TBC. The only Muslims that have a problem with being vetted are ones trying to hide something which is usually something evil. majority of the dead were children and adolescents, innocent people enjoying a concert. Maybe now the famous Hollywood/liberal left will see the evil that these people are and get on the Trump train when it comes to vetting and suspending immigration from places that we can't vet, I mean, it's just meant to protect us from what just happened and keeps happening. I don't care about hurting someone's feelings if it means protecting the lives of our own. Period!

Agree with you on priciple, but thing is, the Saudis have booku bread invested in America...so much so that if they were to pull their investments, our economy would go in a tailspin. That's why Obama didn't let the families of the victims of 9-11 sue the Saudis, IIRC.

Obama didn't let the families sue saudis because he didn't want to open the door for families of foreign civilians killed by American drone strikes etc to have a preceden to sue the US.

If we wanted to take a stand against the saudis they would no more be able to access their US investments than bin laden could make a withdrawal from his boa account after 9/11.

You are right though, the difference between a state sponsor of terror and an ally.... where they invest. Or nowadays, where certain luxury hotels are located.

Correct...but I don't buy it, civilian casualties already get paid. Maybe not as much as they would in a US court, but they do get paid. I still think that decision hinged on Saudi investments in the US.

Ariz:

As the Hurricanes heated up their recruiting efforts of Thomas in the final months of the process, Sunkett explained that it was one coach in particular who opened the lines of communication for Miami in East St. Louis High School.

“The biggest thing that really helped Jeff get out to Miami was Coach Kool and I have to give him his props there. Coach Kool was the defensive line coach at Mizzou and he recruited another kid of ours who was the one of the top players in the country and is now at Mizzou. Just us having that relationship with Coach Kool and knowing the type of guy he was really helped because he was recruiting Jeff as a freshman when he was at Mizzou,” he said.

“Coach Dugans was very up front when he came here and let us know he was going to really look out for Jeff and he would not let him go astray and he’d be a strong father figure in Jeff’s life once he got out there. It was just trust level and he felt comfortable with Coach Dugans when he got there and it was just a match made in heaven.”

Where is the lie in my statement? Just because cows are referenced doesn't mean it's BS. Do you personally know any Muslims? My old roommate was actually a Muslim US Marine. Very peaceful and reflective guy. Father of 2, loving husband.

Do you believe in not rushing to judgement and not painting the whole group with a negative brush when a bad police officer commits a crime or murders someone? If so don't be a hypocrite.

Here is the thing, I don't want to get into name calling with you. When people have long held beliefs that they feel are being attacked the same part of their brain reacts as if they were attacked physically. It's a biological defense mechanism. I am not trying to attack you just providing some "facts" to consider that may help keep the rage and rightful anger in perspective when considering the grand scheme of themes.

Be brave Nick. Don't become a monster to the innocent in your attempts to focus on the guilty. It's an easy trap to fall into. Think about it. I state something peacefully and your thought is I should shove it up my @ss. America should be better than that.

Be brave.
