Terrance Sullivan

Great stuff keep the ball rolling in Year 3. Go Canes!

I like what I am reading about Simpson and Patke. Hopefully, this will translate over to their coaching and recruiting.

Terrance Sullivan

Five things I. Hope to hear and read about the Miami Hurricanes Spring Game 2018 at the Rock. 1. No major injuries. 2. QB competition. 3. OL competition. 4. ST competition. 5. A great time had by all!

Great list. 💯

IMO, this QB battle might be closer than I thought based on richt’s comments. Perry is really talented, perhaps the most talented QB the Canes have had in a long time. Perry’s talent jumps out at you. WILLIAMS is accurate but is still learning the offense. IMO, Rosier knows the offense a lot better and Rosier makes his reads and knows his progressions better. That is why Rosier is the starter for now.

Terrance Sullivan

Mark my words Jarren Williams will be starting by The Duke Game on November 3rd if he isn't injured majorly. N'KOSI Perry put some of my doubts to rest. Malik Rosier was okay. Jarren Williams 9-14 107 yards 1 TD 0 INT's N'Kosi Perry 12-26 1 TD and 1 INT's Malik Rosier 9-14 105 yards 0 TD 0 INT's. That's the Facts Jack. ok is Basura ST was okay and no major injuries and a great time was had by all. That has been Miami Hurricanes Spring Showcase 2018 @ the Rock. This is Terrance Sullivan from the Urban News Network and I am outta here like last year. Peace lol.

Cola Cane

Heard there was a rather large crowd for Spring Game?

Terrance Sullivan

15,875 Attendance for 2018 Miami Hurricanes Spring Showcase!

Herbieibis

Frank Ladson commits to Clemson, another 5 star in our backyard we are whiffing on. U got to be kidding The Herb! This is getting ridiculous. We can't keep losing these guys.
Op

Weak sauce.

Herbieibis

If our dee is that dominate up front in a spring game, after losing 5 dudes, it doesn't bode well for us on offense if we can't block.
I day let Perry start and let the effing chips fall where the hell ever. Let Malik be in the bullpen. Mk

Terrance Sullivan

Lol hahaha whatever

Go Canes!!

Terrence were you there?

Curious how many people went.

Terrance Sullivan

No I wasn't there didn't have to be. I listened to the game and followed on Twitter. Please enlighten me on what I am missing. The Numbers are the Numbers.

Old Skool

I heard punting was questionable. True?

TonyCane

I'm not surprised. Its not like we lost Ladson to Syracuse or Baylor. We lost him to a team that has been in the NC tournament for three consecutive years and is now right up there with Alabama in terms of visibility. And unlike Saban, Dabo is no threat to retire in the next five years. They will be a strong contender for every five star player out there.

That said, Miami's wide receiver corp is loaded. I am also not surprised if that might have been a secondary factor.

Terrance Sullivan

Exactly Tonycane

I have a young son, so I only caught a little over two quarters. I can’t go purely by stats, I must go by what I see. IMO, Perry is clearly the most talented QB and WILLIAMS is a close second. Rosier is good, but the least talented. Of the three, Rosier knows the offense and that counts for a lot. Most of the sacks could be blamed on the OLs, but Some sacks were on the QBs for holding on to the ball and not having great pocket awareness.

I don’t think Perry took a sack, Perry was the leading rusher and Perry has the strongest arm. Perry got a lot better and more comfortable as the game progressed. Based on what CMR was saying in interviews, I thought Rosier might be the clear front runner. Now, I think Perry has a legitimate chance to become starter.

IMO, Williams is an accurate passer, but he hasn’t learned how to go through his progressions and reads yet. Still, WILLIAMS has a legitimate shot and the talent is there. WILLIAMS, like Perry, is another example of CMR upgrading a position through recruiting over Golden’s recruits. WILLIAMS and Perry are just a lot more talented.

IMO, In spite of what CMR and JR have said, this QB competition will go into fall camp. Do you throw a first-time starter at QB on the road against LSU? That is the question CMR will be seeking an answer to between now and September. It’s up to Perry and WILLIAMS to grow up fast and show the coaches that they can trust them.

Speaking of LSU...

Any word on Hurricane Club game tickets yet?

Remember, I'm still hoping for 2 Club Level seats for my wife and myself...

Thanks guys.

P.S. Not happy AT ALL about our running game stats from last night... :(

CoCane

The OL ducks azz

CoCane

"Sucks"

Terrance Sullivan

Yesssss Yesssss Yesssss CoCane out Offensive Line is Trash!

Go Canes!!

Don't know if the interior line is bad, but at tackle we have some serious issues.

86Cane

Wait, wait, wait...I thought we had the BEST OL coach in college football? No?

His Royal Dudeness

I am grading him now as a D. In his 3rd year he failed to recruit a single tackle... again... Unless he snags at least 2 100% committed, 6'6" 290 OTs then his @ss can walk. Both Darling & McDermott regressed under him. 1 more failure of a year, not only on the field, but in recruiting should see him looking for new employment. Based on his comments, and CMR's, I think its clear Searels is feeling some kind of pressure. If Miami had Wisconsin's OL, we'd cake walk into the ACC CG, and could give anyone a run for their money, even with Malik at QB.

FSU Spring Game = 60K+ in attendance.

Old Skool

And people wonder why our spring game isn't televised.

Terrance Sullivan

I always roll my eyes at People beating their chest about Spring Game Showcase. Some FSU website was bragging about their Spring Game attendance being higher than our Season Attendance I was like Don't Do Meth. Getting amped up about a Scrimmage against yourself is super lame that doesn't count. At least the Games against Savannah State or FAMU, or Bethune Cookman actually count.

Terrance Sullivan

Only redeeming qualities about Spring Showcase is no major injuries and fans getting to tailgating other than that a yawner.

Which is why I stopped driving 3 hours and spending $200 to go. Plus access to players has been made impossible by all of the new rules. #NotWhatItUsedToBe

10,000 for every win they'll have this year.

AeroCane

Good morning Cane friends!
So GA got to the championship game with a freshman QB, Alabama won the game with a freshman QB yet perry can't beat out rosier (as of now) cause he doesn't have as firm a grasp on our offense - maybe our offense needs to be simplified - obviously it's points scored that matter not the complexity of the O. I totally agree with what 86 said 'who cares if he knows the O, if he makes bad reads or can't get the ball to the playmakers it doesn't matter'
Maybe we need to change around our O to fit the best qb so we can just 'score points and have fun!'

No, no, no!

Change is discouraged.

Scoring is frowned upon.

Fun is simply not allowed.

Searels wasn't hired until Jnuary of 2016 so saying he's had three recruiting classes is really a stretch.

You are really going to count 2016 against him when his first day was less than 30 days before national signing day?

The guy has had two real recruiting classes including this one. Part of that second one is still in high school and not even on campus yet.

So he didn't have success against Clemson, the team with four to six potential first rounders on it's front four and Wisconsin's monster front seven that were ALL juniors and seniors, some of them redshirts.

Come on with the D grades.

And Lmao at this site's owner's condescending mocking. This is the same guy who wanted to fire Hartley and Dugans not long ago.

This o-line was a disaster when CMR took over. What the hell is the guy supposed to do other than recruit and build up talent?

Wait, let me guess. Stop making excuses and coach em' up!!
