Cat5 Cane

31st... Bam

Morn'n all...
Took a Sunday and went boating on the Hi-Seas... What a great day... doing nothing but crus'n the deep blue for a few late afternoon hours.

Waz up Legion!!! Anybody awake?

Cav... responding to your last post from before about Noel Devine
As you know, I wasn't here last year and I didn't know the legion's history on the kid but he can scoot and appearing to be a star in the making and a solid player. Is he better then Coop? I don't know about that, as this is Coop's year to shine and we'll see.

Come on Legion, what-cha got?... I'm waiting...TIC TIC TIC

SOUP

Ocala...June 3 and 4 in the 352.

1906...this afternoon/evening , I promise.

Cat5...Lamar Miller and Bryce Brown will make you forget about Noel Devine. Rumors were he was the next Barry Sanders. I don't think so. We will see...

Loco

Took a Sunday and went boating on the Hi-Seas...

Posted by: Cat5 Cane | May 19, 2008 at 06:02 AM

I did that once.. Except the high C's were orange and all over the ground, didn't know they were there..

Cat5 Cane

Good afternoon guys... Who's on first?... Soup check mail...

slim32

Cat 5 ... u do any fishing or just pleasure boating?

Cat5 Cane

Slim...
Yesterday was pleasure... Feeling the salt water hitting your face, smelling the fresh air, and basking in the sun... It was Miller time all the way!... Next weekend is for fishing, doing the same thing with a rod in my hand, OH it's a tough life, but somebody has gotta do it!

Cat5 Cane

Soup... Assuming Coop has a great year and vaults to the NFL... Lamar and Brice in 09 but one or both may have to redshirt, as JJ will be hitting his stride with the others in line waiting to fill the vacant spot left by Coop... what do you think???

CanesgirlNC

Preston Parker pleads guilty to Mister Meanor gun charges. FSU found away to get it reduced from a fellony so they now have Preston back and no one will question FSU. No one will call them Thug U for allowing a gun toating pot head to be their star player (not that there is anything wrong with being a pot head). No one will even bring this up on an ESPN talk show. Imagine if it were Miami.

We went out on Saturday (6am) and got 2 - kings (20-25lb), 6 - spanish mackrel (6-12) and a couple bonies we threw back. Slow day cuz the sw wind (no weed lines) and we primarily troll the reef from wpb to boca then head offshore looking for dolphin. No luck offshore and no wahoo on the reef.

Tough life is Right, lol. Me on the other hand get to be first mate with my boss Captain Bly. Dude is a serious fisherman. Half of our trips i look on the Garmin and we're closer to bimini than the FL coast. And thats without a GPS phone or any real safety devices. Granted we build marine engines for a living but u never know.

Half the weekend mornings I try to get out of it because I hate rigging a dozen ballyhoo and getting 4 lines out in 15 minutes after 2 hours of sleep the night before. Once your out their its not to bad.
I always tell myself to soak it up now because come football season saturdays are for one thing and one thing only. THE U .

OCALACANE

CGNC...
Nice! ;)

SOUP

Cat 5...placed decal on rear window of the Canespace Mobil. Looks GREAT!!! Get back to you soon.

CGNC...NICE! Props to Hassan as CFOM for May-June.

SOUP

Slim32...how about a Canespace.com fishing tourney to raise funds for the blog operations, tickets, give aways, t-shirts, etc.?

slim32

Good thought, just lots of planning and coord I would think. i'de try to give more input but i'm pretty green in tournament fishing. We should see how many boaters/fishermen would be interested from the blog and see if their are any hardcore guys that could give us input.

Cat5 Cane

Slim... Oh Captain, My Captain,...LMAO. Tell Captain Bly to slow down and have a Coke... They'll be there, waiting for him, if he's a hour late. Funny as hell story of no GPS, but old ranglers don't need on stink'n machine to find where they're going,... It's all by turning the wet thumb just right, with the proper angle, to find your way... LOL

Just so you know,... I'm more of a Good time Charlie, when it comes to boating, diving and fishing... since I don't own one! LOL... But all my friends do and at the end of the day, I just smile and say... thanks for the good time and can't wait to do it again.... You know the old saying... The happiest time of a man's life after buying a boat, is when he sells it!!! LOL.
Cat5

SOUP

Cat5...check email.

Slim...we need to do a golf or fishing tourney to raise some $$$ around here. Not sure if we have more fishermen or golfers?

OCALACANE

86...
3rd and 4th. good...
wasup with acc tourney and canespace.com anniversary? Got a new friend in Lauderdale I need to see ;)

slim32

Ya thats the truth isn't it. We have a hand full of sayins like that we joke with customers about. The biggest thing is using the boat/engine. So many boater just let their investments sit without use and everything goes south in no time.

Luckily we've got 2-4 "shop boats" avail to play with at all times and i dont have to worry about owning one on by myself.

U nailed it on the head with captain bly. He's got so many stories about the OL Days, LMAO. " We used to go to bimini , cat isles , tortugas in a 20 fter with a 70hp outboard and all we had was a compass boy. No radio no phones , just looking to the stars"

A couple weeks ago we had 1 engine blow an oil line and spin a bearing as we were trolling about 90-120 ft. He remarked its prob not a good idea to head off shore with 1 engine. Well 1 hour later and no fish in the boat, the stubburn bastard headed 17 miles offshore looking for dolphin. 6 hours we were back with 13 schoolies and 1 big bull 37 lbs. Sometimes i justy shake my head.
