What’s up Legion, it’s your boy bg1906 and I have got an AWESOME NCAA 10 update for the gaming fanatics here today. NCAA 10 is slated for official release on July 14, but one of the awesome new features of this year’s NCAA 10 game is a feature called TeamBuilder. TeamBuilder is EA Sports marketing lingo for the former Create-A-School feature in their NCAA video game series. However, this isn’t your last gen create-a-school; it is 100% next gen, as EA is opening up an entire gamet of possibilities with TeamBuilder. One of the neatest features of TeamBuilder, is the ability to view the default rosters for your favorite team, in our case, The Miami Hurricanes. I did just that and true to EA form, there are several numerical and roster/depth chart related mistakes. But never fear, your resident Cane-a-holic and NCAA madman bg1906 has dissected the roster and will direct you into Canes heaven on NCAA 10. First, let’s take a look at the roster and some key ratings for each player.

bg1906’s Depth Chart Recommendations
As I said earlier, EA also had a few position/depth chart errors. Depth charts and position changes are totally subjective, so please don’t feel these are set in stone. Feel free to experiment and use the depth chart that makes the best use of the way you like to play. Based on ratings alone, this is what I think I’m going to do, as it maximizes the style of football I like to play.

Fans of the series know that speed and athleticism are both rewarded in the NCAA series. That fact alone directed some of my choices in starters, for example, starting Arthur Brown instead of Darryl Sharpton. Sharpton is only rated 1 pt higher than Brown, but Brown has superior speed, acceleration, and power ratings. I also like having power backs in opposed to speed backs, so I start Baby J over Coop, and I use Coop in various positions (HB, FB, Slot WR) on the offense to maximize the potential he has in creating mismatches. Again, use the line-up that maximizes what it is YOU like to do.
Well, I hope that you enjoyed this Canes preview, and be on the look out for my review of NCAA 10 for the Xbox 360 after game is released.
Later Legion and Go Canes!

EA Sports being sued by college Football player
The player best remembered in Tempe for his 2006 role in a quarterback fiasco is now suing EA Sports and the NCAA.
Keller filed a class action lawsuit on Tuesday accusing the video game manufacturer of profiting from the likenesses of college athletes, and the NCAA of going along with it. Collegiate Licensing Co., a marketing firm from Georgia that represents the NCAA, is named in the suit as well.
The lawsuit claims that "despite clear prohibitions on the use of student names and likenesses in NCAA bylaws, contracts and licensing agreements, Electronic Arts utilizes the likenesses of individual student-athletes in its NCAA basketball and football video games to increase sales and profits."

cooper as the #2 is great. i like to line up with him as my fullback and run a play action pass to him in the flat on the big side of the field... guaranteed 1s down right there, and if you can juke a dude or 2 its a td. unless the d is running a zone in which case you always have TB streaking down the middle of the field on the same play and just drop it over the top of the d.
great article, ill be sure to print it out and use it as my cheat sheet haha

UiF Crocs just lost in the NCAA College World Softball Whatever Tournament Fastpitch Thing to the Washington Huskies
Pac-10 owns fastpitch softball, that conference has won 22 of the 28 Championships
I guess the Crocs pitcher was supposed to be really good, but they lost 8-0 last night and 3-2 tonight
It's like a trainwreck, watching those dudes/girls/trannys play fastpitch softball - you can't look away
Another thing, some of those dudes backs were so big, they could have 3 numbers on their jersey instead of only 2
It's funny how they show their height on the stat sheet they put up on the screen, but never the weight ... but I don't have to be some circus carnie that tries to guess people's weight for money, I could tell some of those hosebeasts were tipping in over 180
A lot of weirdness that goes on during the game, like the entire team in the dugout while they're batting, hanging over the top rail and doing chants or songs or whatever
Wearing lots of eyeblack ... during night games?
Or at the end of each inning, everyone from out in the field runs in and everyone in the dugout runs out, and they all meet near the baseline and have some kind of hand/ass slapping huddle with each other
Odd
Anyway, the Washington pitcher they faced, threw around 600 pitches in 5 straight games - dude is a machine and pitched for Team Canada last year
His name is Danielle Lawrie
Crocs have to wait another year for either their softball or baseball team to win their first ever title

Six what was that Spike TV show a while back
Jocks vs Dikweeds or something,
Anyway they always had that blonde fast pitch softball picher that looked like a cross between Reese Witherspoon and Brian Bosworth.
She would come out and fan these 30 year olds that claimed to have batted 4th on their college baseball team back in the day.
I think she struck out Canseco three or four times before the show started just to warm up.

I have so much respect for kobe
until he speaks.
Kobe, shut up. Please.
How do you sit in front of Magic Johnson and talk about how no one player can be considered to be the best ever because every player brings something different to the table?
don't b*tch out. Tell Magic you think YOU are the best player to play the game. You know think it. You know that's what you believe. So why not come out and say it?
Jordan would.
Bird would.
Magic would.
Dr. J would.
And what is this business about "everyone makes a bigger deal about it" but the truth is Shaq wouldn't have won the title without you?
News Flash:
HE DID BEYOTCH - and then he asked you how his a*s tastes. A little gay, but I got what he meant.
Until YOU win a title WITHOUT Shaq, YOU are the one that won them because of him. That's the way it works.
You win one...you are then equal. Until then, not equal.
Shut up KOBE.
I wonder if his wife still owns his c*ck these days...what a fricken pus. That guy goes out and bones some garden tool, gets thrown under the bus dirty - cuz he's an idiot - and then goes out and spends MILLIONS to keep that b*tch around.
Finally, to piggy back on Six a sec...how the f@ck did John Kruck end up in the booth with those two bull dykes doing womens lesball?
Posted by: The Truth | June 02, 2009 at 11:28 PM
Kruk...sorry.
Solar,
I remember that. And to Cansecos credit he was more than happy to get used up there. I think it was a matter of him honestly being lost at the fact that a GIRL was owning him.
He was a great sport about it.
And he is NOT a great sport. His girlfriend is REDICULOUS, though. MY GOD. He's supposedly broke and his ding ding doesn't work too well from the roids and she's still there...so you know it's love. She is HOT.

It's good to be back.
After my longest hiatus ever from the one and only 'Space, I found my way back!
Simply a god aweful schedule since the end of April...I 'bout had the DT's!
Anyway, I hope the Legion is better than ever! I know I missed the Legends of the Fall ballot and I am hoping Soup will allow a late entry? If so, I select JJ and Eric Moncur. It's Do or Die for both of them and the team really needs some upper classmen to step up in a BIG way! It's amazing what a little pressure, competition and finality can do. Let's hope I'm right...for the sake of the team.
Sux the baseball team went down to the Crocs. 08-09 was theirs, now 09-10 is the U's!!

I have a question for the Legion -
I was about all set to head down to the U vs. OU game on Oct 3rd when one of my wife's very best friends announces her wedding date. You guessed it, Oct 3rd!
What are the odds for fux sakes?! I haven't won my petition to change the date and I am almost set to say I had already purchased the tix and just have to go, but I might come home to changed locks, etc.
I went to the FU game last year, but would like to see my first home game. Anyone care to offer which one they believe is the next best option? I don't think I can make more than one if at all.
Last time something like this happened to me it was due to a wedding. I missed Sammy Hagar in Cabo in Oct. three years ago. Maybe I have to concede to just staying home in Oct!
Go Canes!

Truth - better than ever!
My wife almost caught me drooling!
Posted by: Pre83 | June 02, 2009 at 11:56 PM
Truth - I know. The only consolation I have about missing Sammy's Birthday Bash is that I got to see a great friend who died not long after. Maybe that was fate. I hope Sammy does his thing again. I might be able to swing it.
Oh, and I do love my wife. I just need to keep selling it. You never know, maybe she won't even want me there:)
Go Canes!

Yeah, and my wife had the AUDACITY to plan our wedding for the FSU "Wide Right III" Game. I don't know what these women are thinking, but weddings should only be allowed from the second week in January until the beginning of March and from Mid-April to the end of July.

He's a rock star in EVERY sense of the word. He points and panties get drenched.
rediculous.
If you love your wife, go the wedding. It's the smart thing to do. miami will play other big games. Your wife's best friend will not always be getting married.

Just to go the future recruiting games, I saw that Dallas Lloyd, the qb from UT who had theoretically been a signal caller UM was really interested in, verbally chose Stanford today. No biggie, but on the ESPN updates.
