Esteban

D-1 women's volleyball is where its at.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Just to go the future recruiting games, I saw that Dallas Lloyd, the qb from UT who had theoretically been a signal caller UM was really interested in, verbally chose Stanford today. No biggie, but on the ESPN updates.

JCane, thanks for that. Are we looking for one or two legit, big time QBs for 2010??

DZ8

1 QB for 2010. Capt.

Great interview DATcane.

MIA Chi 'Cane '98

for the past couple of years I have gone to www.gamerosters.com to get the names of players for the NCAA Football series. It costs like $10 to $12 for all the names of every player but it is worth it.

Anyone now of a free site that may offer names? Just curious.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Canez and Truth, I cannot stand that British accent face to face for more than two hours. It's great over the phone but becomes annoying as hell for some reason. lol

Esteban

from the Herald...

• Classy: Dolphins great Mark Duper has begun doing some on-field and off-field coaching and mentoring of UM receiver Leonard Hankerson, who struggled with drops in the spring.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Este, that's the truth. Did you see my question about LSU and UNC a few blogs back?? Was it really as simple as "making plays" or was there something deeper to it?

Canez1

Cav it drives me nutz!! LOL

Este that i great to hear. I think Hank can be a huge safety blanket for Jacory and co.

GO CANEZ!!!!!

Yeah go to operation sports.com this is the best place to go. Also if you have an internet connection you can download them online.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

DZ8, thanks.

Aqua

not that I'm a big gamer or anything but thx bg. Also thx DZ, solar and CGNC for the articles. In the offseason it's all about community..

Esteban

Cav, you missed my reply. It was simply the defenses played discipline and made the tackle when they got their. Solid LB play was the key I think tho. They flowed to the ball and brought down the ball carrier. Was true team efforts though. DL did their job. LBs theirs. And DBs came up hard to support. Still GT got some gains. Just wasn't consistent.

DATcane

Clayton or Duper? I will take Clayton

And Solar, Six and Canez1, please don't encourage him!

Thank U...

I wasn't anywhere near it last night, ha

Speaking of Lucy Pinder, it's funny how a couple of people thought the girl that the Croc QB is with in this picture is her (it isn't her) - and then a bunch of lazy people who have blogs on the web, said that he was with Pinder.

The pic of the chick in the brown bikini is Pinder.

The chick with the Croc QB isn't Pinder.

http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/kris123456/162406/

Clearly, you can see in the other pics of the chick with the Croc QB .. the one with the Croc hat turned sideways and the one with in front of the fridge where it looks like she just passed a air biscuit.

The Truth

Pinder or not...

I'd have to put it in Mr. Courtside seats' girlfriend.

She's doable..,

That chic with Tebag is hot as fukkk!!!

Dark hair and curves all day long.

That has me written all over it.

You've been getting had broham! NEVER, EVER pay for rosters, they are free! Some guys accept donations, but you should NEVER, EVER pay for the rosters. This hurts the entire NCAA gaming community and is part of the beef with the law suit that butt head from Arizona State has against EA Sports.

If you have Xbox 360, you can download Fairdale Kings rosters when (which I will be correcting all the mistakes he makes with UMs roster) from me via EA Locker. My gamertag is bg1906. If you have PS3, check out www.operationsports.com and go to the forums. I'm sure there will be someone who will head up roster efforts for the PS3.

Six

canechic - we had an in depth discussion in the news room the other day while watching the softball games, about how to try and tell the difference between the players on the teams.

I was basically scared of the pitcher that Washington had. I said she looks like a women's prison guard who would grab me, throw me down and yell at me to give her all of my seed so she could field a team inside her womb.

A couple of the guys up at work have wives who played college softball. I actually harassed one of the guys about calling his wife to ask her, until he finally broke down and text her - b/c she was out on "girls night".

He said that she told him, if a girl wears a ribbon in her hair then it's a tell ...

I'll use examples from other women's sports. If the following were playing softball, then they would ...

Wears Ribbon = Ashley Harkleroad (tennis), Allison Stokke (pole vaulter), Bia and Branca Feres (synchronized swimmers)

No Ribbon = Martin Navratilova & that other guy William Jean King (tennis), 99% of the WNBA, 100% of the Womens Pro Bowling Association

Cat 5 Cane

..Randy's interview...

On reyrey... What a golden pick.

Cream of the Crop: Ray Ray Armstrong, Safety, Miami (FL) Slide 6 of 8
Armstrong is considered to be the best all around athlete in the class because of his size.

Standing at 6'4'' and 215 pounds, Armstrong has the ability to play any skill position and his size is ideal for a receiver, quarterback, or safety.

Strengths: All-around natural athleticism and ability, a huge problem for defenses when he has the ball, a big and sturdy player who has top-end speed. He is very elusive and powerful, has All-American potential a most skill positions, great hands, excellent jumping ability, great open-field tackling, and great ball skills.

Weaknesses: Not always good in pass coverage, and sometimes takes a bad first step/break on the ball.

Where he stands in '09: Armstrong is one of few players who probably every since coach looked at recruiting. His athleticism alone makes him irresistible.

While he will play a lot at safety, look for Randy Shannon to use him to his fullest ability, by returning kicks and punts, playing in the slot, lining up under center or in the shotgun.

If he produces as much as he is hyped to, we could have a bigger, stronger Devin Hester on our hands.

Whip must be smiling... B's and G's... We could be looking at the next Wild Cat QB, by game 4... Run, Pass or Hand it off... 6'4", 215, out of the gate, as a Freshman!!! That will be 220lbs before Okla.... Oh My! Lions, Tigers and Bears!!!

Can't have too much information. ;-)

canesteeler

Six being the sports junkie that I am I watched a couple of innings of the softball games and most of those chicks scared the hell out of me. The prison guard analogy you used is 100% correct. On the other hand do as esteban said and check out the college female volleyball games! WOW

DZ8

This is why Six is a special blogger; when refering to the washington pitcher who reminded him of a prison guard, he could've said she'd grab him throw him down and have her way with him...

But no, The artist known as Six says, " throw me down and yell at me to give her all of my seed so she could field a team inside her womb."

Not only did he make his point he even tied it in with sports (field a team). Nice Six!

elliott

Volleyball games are my favorite

CanesgirlNC

LOL there is some good stuff on here
"Truth Gone Wild" and "The Artist Known as Six" - LMAO!

canesteeler

Canesgirlnc how about our Penquins last night! That was one of the most exciting games I have watched!

elliott

Watch BG they will have several other players from the BANDWAGON teams (USC, Florida) with their speed at 99. How come no UM players have a 99 on speed?

canechic

Pens can only score with power plays!

CanesgirlNC

Canesteeler - yeah - I wound up watching it on Justin TV online - for some reason when I try to watch the Canes on there it never really works right but I was able to lock into a Canadian station - hilarious commercials. Tomorrow night I will hit the sports bar! LOL they don't need to make it THAT exciting though -

CC - A goal is a goal is a goal. I don't care if they suit up the trunk monkey and he scores it. They finally got the right bounces - man they had about as much luck as GM in Detroit - can you believe that puck that stayed on Ozzie's back and the other one that rolled on its side? and then ping, ping ping on the pipes Aaaargh - but that's what makes hockey!

canechic

I know Canesgirl watching on the Canadian station is pretty funny.

Want to watch some entertaining TV watch English soccer on fan night. They have fans announce the game and it is a riot. Nick and I watch and just laugh.

Just PO's me about the kind of penalties they give to the Pens. The missed call of to many men on the ice was the turning point. If the wings get that call they probably score and the pens loose. But it is the way it goes. Wings win the next one and I think it is good night Irene for the Penguins. I thought I liked Malkin until the crap he pulled after game 2 but now I think he is a punk too! We will see how it all turns out,to be continued...........

MIA Chi 'Cane '98

thanks for the info about the rosters, bg and elliot

Will have to check that site out since I have a PS3.

Cannot wait a month in a half until College Football 2010 comes out but in the mean time Just finishing up my college basketball season on NCAA Basketball 2009 where Miami is #1.

CanesgirlNC

CC - that muppet Zetterberg can apparently do no wrong since you bring up calls. How about the penalty shot the Pens should have gotten when he put his hand and glove on the puck that was on Osgood's back? I am not a homer so I never bring up officiating. I figure stuff goes on on both sides especially when watching on TV never get to see everything happening on the ice :-D

CanesgirlNC

bg - you did really good with that list! I don't play and it hurts my eyes to scroll down but I recognize the time it took! Good job

texascane

Watch the little sis Zetterberg...won't even drop the gloves after Malkin beats him down.

He knows that if he drops the gloves, the refs will let them go until it's finished.

That's how they fight in Sweden.

canesteeler

Canechic we are going to change your name to angry 2. However I do believe the Red Wings are the better team and they will win the next two games!

canesteeler

A goal is a goal is a goal no matter how it was scored. Legion can you believe we have a black man (me) on the blog talking smack about hockey!

CanesgirlNC

For all of us girls who like this guy:

Oh ya, he's super dreamy (squeels).

Ha.

Na, I love Shock. Love his style of play, his demeanor on the field, his hatred of losing.
