soup yea I agree chicks can sing

You’re out on the streets looking good,
And baby deep down in your heart I guess you know that it ain’t right,

You got a fast car
I want a ticket to anywhere
Maybe we can make a deal

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small,
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all.

Who counts the money
Underneath the bar
Who rides the wrecking ball
Into our guitars

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Sleaz, that's a nice pick. More of us should be predicting those two will have great seasons because if they do, odds are we'll be putting up a lot of points and the other team won't.

My picks, for instance, could have incredible seasons individually and we could be 8-4 or worse. haha

earlier today

Me: "Blazin Bob you should check out Canespace, you would fit right in"

Blazin Bob: "I dunno man I'm not much of a blogster"

Me:" I need you to come on and make fun of us drinking the Kool Aid"

Blazin Bob: "Tell em to put down the Kool Aid and start eating jello"

Me: "why Blazin B.??"

Blazin Bob:( grinning) "Jello is Kool Aid with a hard on...."

Me.. I love you Blazin Bob!!

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Solar, I remember reading that somewhere about Whip whippin' Johnson back in the day. Was Johnson running his option back then?? I think he was.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Solar, lol, Balzin' Bob is a classic.

Canez1

Im hopin so Cav.

I just have seen alot of Garbage on O the last few years no matter who was the OC.

Show me da money!!!

GO CANEZ!!!!!

solarcane

Capt O,
I'm not sure but the Georgia fan was pretty unhappy with how Whipple could go td for td on Georgia Southern and never seem to run out of different plays and formations.
that right there tells me we are gonna see some exciting innovative plays all game long.

I'm working with him Monday I'll as him more about Johnson.

Blazin Bob is hilarious 24/7 chi.

it's that humor you have to witness live to get the full effect.

I picked Cooper cause 1) all the toss plays whipple ran at umass. 2) all the ways he saw Philly use Westbrook last year. Just is going to have Cooper in positions to make plays. I would have picked James since I think both will have good years but he's hurt too much. Also Cooper might do some punt returning this year too so just will add to all purpose yards.

Seoul Cane

Truth,

I agree with Cane '98 a bit...Thailand was probably my least favorite country, when compared to Vietnam or Laos (haven't been to Cambodia), just simply because of the overabundance of ex-pats and tourists. However, with that said, Thailand's very easy to get around and is still a lot of fun. Watch Bangkok Dangerous with Nicholas Cage...a lot of good scenery there.

If you want to stay in Thailand, Bangkok is the most central place to be. Within Bangkok, I'd stay along the Chao Phraya river, as it's got a lot of very nice hotels and you can ply up and down the river in river taxis, it's easy to get to the temples, etc. The river, if I remember correctly, is on the western side of Bangkok. North of that, there's the famous ex-pat street (Kao San Road or something like that)...that's the best place to go to get your tours and transportation set up.

In Bangkok, you can see all of the temples and Buddhas. Go to Jim Thompson's house (architect, ex-CIA guy, lost in Malaysia and body never found); interesting place. Also, it's a bit touristy, but go to Patpong Road and see the underbelly of Thailand (ping pong shows, the girls, and the like).

Day trips from Bangkok are the floating market, crocodile zoo, Pattaya (beach town and even seedier than Bangkok); you can take a bus there...good trannie shows and beach massages. I thought the coolest day trip was to take the train west to Kanachaburi, where the bridge over the River Kwai is...there is also the Death Train that runs over the river and towards the border with Burma.

Slightly farther trips are to take a plane to Phuket and see all of the super remote islands (they have little motor boats that will take you to some islands that may have only one or two bungalows to rent on the entire place)...can be very romantic. Or, take a train north to Chang Mai; it's an old fortress town where you can do the trekking with elephants or hill tribes.

I think the coolest thing of all would be to take the train to Chang Mai, then take a bus east to the Laos border, cross it, take a slow boat down the Mekong to the old town of Louang Prubang, then continue to Vientienne and take a train back to Bangkok.

Personally, I did the Bangkok, Bridge over the River Kwai, up to Chang Mai, down the Laos Mekong river and back to Bangkok within 10 days; so it's doable.

Seoul...Nice work there! Just another one of the "value added" services from The Space.

MIA Chi 'Cane '98

Seoul, I did not like always having to negotiate with the Thai's for everything like cab rides, tuk tuks, hotels, massages, etc. It got old real fast. The other countries we visited did not drive such a hard bargain.

You can see Bangkok in day or two. It is a big dirty city. Chang Mai is a must with the elephant camps and night market. I hear Chang Rai is amazing in the Golden Triangle though I am not sure how safe it is these days. And you have to take few days off and relax by a beach in either Phuket, Koi Sumi or another island.

Truth, u need a minimum of two weeks in that region. We went for three weeks and I could have easily stayed another week to see and do everything.

MIA and Seoul

THANK U very much!

I'm going to check out Vietnam...everyone seems to think it's worthy. I'm going forgo the Sept idea cuz it's not enough time. I can handle hot. So if it's feasable to fit in the Feb March timeframe that's what I'll do to accomodate the time needed.

I'm going to use this info as the starting point. The Internet is awsome but there is nothing like getting first hand info.

Looks like it's going from Thailand to Laos to Vietnam. Thanks again. I greatly appreciate it.

See you maybe later...if not late next week!

U do not know what HOT is until U have been to SE Asia in the summer months. I thought S. Florida was brutal in the summer months and SE Asia is at 10 times worse. The humidity was unbearable worse than S. Florida or Chicago in the summer.

Truth, checked out Cambodia, Siem Reap as well. It is really an undiscovered country. One of my favorite places on the trip and all U need two days max there.

SlingBlade

BTW what does everyone think about the nationally televised game we have this year against the reigning national chumps...yes i said it...

we play the gayturds again this year...and this time WE DOMINATE...

when we go 4-0 to start the season we will be once again ranked in the top 5, and theres no stopping us from there...it will be advertised as the "Convicts-vs-Canes" and like it was said earlier this season starts "The Payback Tour"
