The day that seemed would never come has finally, thankfully arrived. Labor Day is here at last!
Tonight at The Doak somewhere deep in the bowels of Trailernasty, your Miami Hurricanes will take on the Florida State Seminoles in a good old fashioned back yard brawl.
This early season ACC showdown is about so much more than Conference standings and seeing who gets the chance to play in the ACC Championship in Tampa in December.
It's about bragging rights.
It's about recruiting.
It's about redemption.
So tonight, after the tailgate parties have ended, after the players complete their pre-game warm-ups, and after the flaming spear burns out and the opening kickoff occurs, these two teams will go head to head in a game that will go along way in determining their respective 2009 seasons.
As it always is in these contests, one team will win, and one must lose. Each player and every fan will either feel the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat. The Seminoles and Canes meet one more time with the entire Nation watching. Does it get any better than this?
Strap up Canes fans, it is time to get busy.

I think its hard to UNDERSTATE the importance of last night to The Boss and the Program. The momentum winning that game has generated; the confidence; the national exposure; recruting...
The Program needed to get the season started on a positive note and to generate enthusiasm and self-confidence. If we can build on this success and get W's over GT and VT, ACC Champ game here we come...

Optimist,
Just because you don't like someone you still can find something nice about him. I said it and I will say it again:
Jacory=Obama
Cool under fire lol
I'm not even talking about politics. I'm talking about demeanor (one brother playing qb for probably the most scrutinize football program in the land to another brother with the most highly pressure job in the entire world). I'm just sayin'.

So far the reactions from the press vary from miami and fsu are back in stock with big play makers to it was a competitive game between two mediocre teams at best.
I cant wait to here them all shyt themselves when miami continues to roll. If we can tighten up a bit defensively and continue to click on offense the ACC is wide open for the U this year.
