pb(CSROH10)

Damn I was just on! How did I miss this one!

sinistercane

conch salad

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I know we did not put o hole lot of pressure on the noles but they may have the best o-line in the ACC.

conch salad

so seriously who came down with a second interception? I only remember the one inter and one fumble.

The next time you are hanging out with some Hurricane players before a game please do us all a favor and force them to drink gallons of liquids or strap them up to some IVs. haha

Nice pic in the upper right. Good job!

Canefantasy

I am going on really no sleep but today everything tastes better, the air smells better, the birds chirp a little louder. I love life!!

conch salad

Spence ALMOST had a second pick. But he didnt. And he played poorly. Bigtime shocker there...

SOUP

What a day, what a game, what a night. WHEW!

Got to meet and take pictures with Spence and Hankerson in the lobby od the Ramada.

Also ran into Don Bailey Jr. and Alonzo Highsmith and got some photos as well.

The PBCC tailgate was incredible. The Jello Shot Queen really outdid herself.

At the UMAA event we met and took photos with Bernie Kosar and Donna Shalala. Both are beyond compare.

The game was boring. NOT! What a fantastic finish to a really spectacular game. I am EXHAUSTED!

I'm off to Panama City. Seafood and work await me there. See ya later on the blob!

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Alex, Jacory is the real deal. BO is a full of shyt salesman and lawyer. No comparison.

dlu

Still think we could have won by 3 td's no sweat with a different approach on defense ex. cin. def. or byu BUT

My theory is that it is a 3 game def. game plan with the hardest game over. Stop the run. Ga Tech stop the run you win. Va tech stop the run you win, pretty much.

Stop a running qtback, fsu, ga tech, va. tech and okla if bradford out. So I think on defense they stuck to the plan, just makes sense to me.

DZ8

Only one pick for us, Randy Phillips.

They game planned for blocking SPENCE #1.

Last year asa Freshman he surprised EVERYBODY (me and U included) with the way he played.

He's no secret anymore. Wanna run on Miami? U gotta block Sean Spence. They know that now and they game plan blocking schemes around him. That is how highly he is thought of by the opponents.

NBD...he will learn to deal with it. The LAST player I am worried about is Sean Spence!

dlu

probably does not hold for okla but I think it does for the other games, so hone that approach and give the dink and dunks.

The Truth

There was only 1 pick

DallasTX Cane

I think its hard to UNDERSTATE the importance of last night to The Boss and the Program. The momentum winning that game has generated; the confidence; the national exposure; recruting...

The Program needed to get the season started on a positive note and to generate enthusiasm and self-confidence. If we can build on this success and get W's over GT and VT, ACC Champ game here we come...

DallasTX Cane

The DL will have to step up big time for GT and VT. However, OU's weakness (at least thru all of 1 game) is their OL. that game just got a lot more interesting, nationally speaking

TLuv

Well well well....look who's back in the top 25!

Welcome back CANES!!

Its about freakn time! THANK YOU Randy Shannon!

Alex

Optimist,

Just because you don't like someone you still can find something nice about him. I said it and I will say it again:
Jacory=Obama

Cool under fire lol

I'm not even talking about politics. I'm talking about demeanor (one brother playing qb for probably the most scrutinize football program in the land to another brother with the most highly pressure job in the entire world). I'm just sayin'.

conch salad

so since I nailed the first 3 posts, do i get a shirt?

ya I thought there was only 1 pick, but then again all that 90 min IPA couldve very easily made me forget about a 2nd one.

U are absolutely right. Shouldve realized that

CanesAddiction

I'm still amazed at how well the offense played yesterday.

I'm real concerned about Aldarious.

I'm real concerned about the cramping. Drink some water boys!

Eat crow Holtz and May.

WoW #20 Miami

Old Skool

One of the most important things I think Shannon needs to do right now. Pick an assistant OC. We got a winner in Whipple, but God knows for how long.

I'd like someone to be sitting at his shoulder absorbing everything he can for the next couple of years. So that when Whipple moves on (which I hope he doesn't)there's a built in replacement and maybe some offensive continuity.

CaneRock

Although the defense was subpar last night (pass defense mostly), I was extremely pleased with how Miami stuffed the option. Hopefully that is an indicator of things to come when Miami plays GT and that damn triple-option.

The Truth

While I wait for this plane let's play "Play of the game"

Can't include the drop on the final, duh??!

My first selection goes to Hankerson on 3rd and 15 taking a 4 yard pass for the first right after Jacory's injury.

That play was HUGE!

Who's got next?

DZ8

Old Skool

Agree 100% and have been saying that for awhile. I don't think Whipple will be here next year. I've looked at our O coaches and don't know who the young prodigy is/will be. Aubrey Hill? Doubt it's Stoutland or Robinson. Boomer Philbrick? Maybe Tim Harris Sr, but he's gotta get that degree.

Our OC from last year is still looking for work and we are already talking about our OC this year leaving us for bigger and brighter things. That is an improvement. Bring Dorsey in.

Give me an f'ing look !!! Mark Whipple

splarfy

Play of the game...

Cooper's TD bobbled catch

CaneRock

I feel ya' Alex, and although I've heard comparisons to Dorsey,Kosar, and most recently, the comparison that Shannon made to Walsh, for some strange reason, Jacory just reminds me of Charlie Ward for some reason, am I the only one...

TLuv

Truth,

I agree with that play being the biggest. My other one is BH breaking up the lob to Fortson in the endzone. Huge play

conch salad

"Who's got next?"

I got two:

Hankerson grabbing the underthrown 40 yarder over the outstretched hands of the DB, who probably wouldve picked it had Hank not gone up and caught it

OR

Immediately after he is called for PI, Brandon Harris defends the fade route thrown at him to perfection

The Truth

Ok, I'll go again:

Coops TD run...but not cuz he scored. I lived flipping Fox and Franklin over to the right side to attack the DE over there. Fix slipped out and made a great block on the LB and the lead was Miamis.

conch salad

I think Whip stays at least 2 years... either way lets not worry about that now. Worry about that if and when the time comes (or if our offense keeps putting up absurd #'s)

BTW couldnt help but notice how much our O looks like the Eagles O

CanesgirlNC

Tluv I am with you - Brandon Harris has really improved.

bg1906

Ooooh and who was that that said the time Hankerson spent with Duper wouldn't help. I think they said something like...catching baseballs and footballs is different.

It taught him focus and concentration. He had big catches. That one in between 2 defenders was IMMEDIATE dividends for the time spent.

Had to get that off my chest.

CanesgirlNC

Hank has really improved also. I would like to see Javarris stay healthy and have a big senior year.

Jacory's performance??? He was amazing - no wonder those two transferred. And if AJ is coming along quickly they really had no hope!

GO CANES

splarfy

It was nice seeing Graham out there smackin heads!

360Cane

Truth,

My LOF of course...The Duper Project:

3rd and 15 at MIA 22 Jacory Harris pass complete to Leonard Hankerson for 16 yards to the MiaFl 38 for a 1ST down.

Daytoncane

play of the game...

hard to compete with the hankerson 3rd down catch but the pass to benjamin on our last drive was thrown about as well as anyone could throw it. he barely got one foot in before he went out at the 3 yard line.

jacory did a great job of stepping up in the pocket and placing the ball where only benjamin could catch it.

i just wish they didnt leave as much time on the clock as they did when coop scored.

j.w.

Tluv beat me to my first choice, so i'll go with: MRob pressuring Ponder, forcing him to hold the ball a little longer, and ultimately throwing a pick to Randy Phillips in the end zone.

bg1906

Truth.

Hits of the game was Bradham on Coop and Sharpton on whatever poor soul that was at goaline.

The Truth

Hey, I was always with you bg.

Hank was my LOF last season and then his head got in the way. That catch early between the two guys just a terrific example of his focus these days.

He's going to be great this year. I'm very excited for him. He's worked so hard.

bg1906

Truth.

Also Collier had some BIG TIME receptions on 3rd down too.

Alex

The biggest play of the game is MRob's stripping Ponder when FSU was gonna score at least 3. If they score, they could potentially be up by 2 tds.

DZ8

I absolutely had an ear to ear grin every time Hankerson stepped up. First pass to him was slightly behind him and I worried a little. Next pass to him was in a bunch of traffic and would've been a good catch. As he came back to the huddle he was looking down and I started to worry about his mental toughness. Somebody said something to him that caused him to get his head up. Don't know who but props to whoever that was.

That catch Truth is talking about on third down reminded me of Steve Smiths catch for the Giants against the Patriots AFTER Tyrees great catch. Crucial for the drive. That catch bg1906 is talking about had me cheering and smiling, picture perfect.

Its good to see adults in charge of our offense again, as far as play calling, schemes, etc...

CaneRock

With all the weapons that Miami has, coupled with Shannon's ability to recruit, Shannon ain't got to do too much looking for OC candidates should Whipple leave. Shannon has Miami right where He wants it, and right where it damn where should be: IN DEMAND, AND ABLE TO SELL ITSELF!!!
