Cat5, I receall the Sagarin system as being the only one that seemed legit.

I think Jacory needs to heed Mike Leach's advice to his TT quarterback...

“He got a lot of pressure,’’ Leach said. “He generated some for himself, too. I wasn’t real cranked about that. I wanted him to throw the ball and hit some fat guy in the stands. That didn’t consistently happen. We had a conversation on that.’’

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

86, they're talking about all the CaneSpacers. haha

86, who are the proud owners of the U Bus??

Hurriphin

After watching UCF CB Josh Robinson struggle (Yes I know he is a fresh.) I remember that he got an offer along with his homie Brandon McGee, coming out of Plantation HS. (I could never go to a school with that name. And if I had to, I'd never rep'.)
He coulda' been a part of that ownage, rather than a victim. Oh well.

Solar it was one of those "U had to be there events". And even then U still might not have believed it!

There was a UCF college student group tailgating across from us. They were totally RIPPED. One dude puked in the drain after winning (or was it losing?) three consecutive beer chugging contests.

I went to his rescue with a cold bottled water and a half a turkey sub. Told him he has to be smarter than that. He thanked me and I walked away.

Just another day, another Canespace rescue...

canechic

86 it really was a great time. Those guys were very impressed with the Miami tailgaters and loved our top shelf booze!

GO CANES!

10th sucks ass, but it is all good, i think guys like FSU will win most of the their remaining games, VT will maybe lose only one more time. GT is really coming around, our strength of schedule will end up looking really good. out of the 9 in front of us a guarantee 3 go down in a loss. I know we have a 1 in 10 chance of going to the NCC game but other then that the main thing is we finish in the top 8 of these rankings so we can get an at large BCS bowl. Our conference needs it and so do we. The ACCCG is kinda out of our hands as far as i can tell, i get different story's on this tie breaker, but I feel even without it we need out conference to do well and if we put two teams in BCS Bowls that will be more money for UM.

AngryCane

Cav...

Yeah, the dude with the bus--of which I got my photo taken--name is Noel. Himself and his whole crew were VERY COOL and hommie can cook-up some mean Tex-Mex on the grill!

We walked up and he told me to help myself to some freshly cooked seasoned flank-steak on a warm corn tortilla, with ample amounts of homemade salsa... His recipe was THE BOMB, and very old skool Mexicano. It reminded me of being back home in Los Ángeles.

As you can see in the pics, I was doing my best Frank The Tank impression and having the college pups enjoy their time with The Space...

As I was taught--you lead by example, and from the front, not "in the rear with the gear".

Good times had by all and I think as Canes fans we treated the hosting university, their team, and fans with respect; opposite of some of the junk we were having to listen too.

Little do they know or fail to realize is that EVERY college--including UCF--markets to the local populace to become fans of & attend sporting events; not just actual students. So don't give me that, "did you go to Miami" crap.

Some of the UCF people were stunned when I'd show them my Knight Student ID, as I was decked-out in Cane Gear... It's a Cane Thing, You Wouldn't Understand.

I actually feel sorry for the Knight football team as their own "fans" walked out on them when there is still a full half of football left to play. But like I told those whom saw my ID is that UCF reminds me of Cal State Northridge (CSUN) where I grew-up in the San Fernando Valley. For those kids that did not--or have the chance to--go away for college, they just attended the local 4 year university. And Central Florida is very much a commuter school.

In short if you want to have school pride that's great, but don't bail on your team and FELLOW STUDENTS when they need your support. OR TALK TRASH TO VISITING FANS AND PLAYERS.

JameriCane

86 forgot to mention the "punch" canechic had made and let me tell you.....a few more and I might not have made it to the stadium.

MIAMI GETS HOSED BY THE BCS!!!
GUESS RANDY NEEDS TO TAKE OFF THE GLOVES AND PLAY FOR RATING!

orange 'n green in the vein

Cav, Spiller is better than Bush to me, he will be in the NFL what that bust was supposed to be coming out of college. Too bad he was stuck playing for a Bowden for most of his time in college.

dlu

It will be hard for the U to win out, it will be hard for any team to run the table from here until regular season end & counting conference championships.

I do not see strength of schedule being given its due in the rankings.

Off to watch a re run of the clemson game did not see any of that.

Solar letter will go out monday, with cash from my OU tX game bet. I won the moral victory on that one, no big win for TX.

My over rated from last week are still over rated, TX, FlA. Ala, Buckeyes, Va tech, two of them lost, Fla and TX excaped only ala won easily.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Cat 5, the only thing I can think is that pre-season ranking must have a bunch to do with it. That's the only way LSU and the likes of Boisie State are ahead of us. If Boisie had played our sched, they'd be 1-4 or so.

Oh well. We gotta show those tough games made us a better team and romp all the way out. Otherwise, those early tests are for naught.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Cat 5, also, if we win out we'll catch one of those squads in a bowl, and whoop their azz. For some reason I'd really like to get Boisie.

Also, how in the hell did Cinci get voted so high?? Because they beat Rutgers?? Ridiculous.

Clearly, though, even if we were undefeated we'd still be lower than the top three because of the pre-season rankings.

Cat 5 Cane

I'M PISSED... DAMN, I DON'T MIND BEING RANKED 10TH, BUT SHOW ME ANOTHER FOOTBALL PROGRAM BETTER THEN OURS AND I'M OK, BUT NOT JUST BY SCORED RECORD OR POPULARITY... IF TAKING RECORDS, THEN LOOK TO WHOM THEY HAVE PLAYED!!!

THIS IS BULLSHIIT!

We are playing Clemson next week. Our boys should be focused and come out sharp. If we defeat Clemson convincingly, then we should be ranked above TCU for sure.

Take one game at a time and win out, that should be the focus of this team. They're still young and its going to be cold at Wake and UNC. They better come out with all guns blazing week in and week out.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Cav, Spiller is better than Bush to me, he will be in the NFL what that bust was supposed to be coming out of college. Too bad he was stuck playing for a Bowden for most of his time in college.

No doubt about it. He would've won the Heisman a year or two ago if he'd had a decent team with good coaches. He has to be the ultimate waste of talent in the history of CFB.

But he'll definitely get his due come draft day. I'd take him first in a heartbeat.

To me,,,

Spiller >>>> Bush and what's his name from Ark.

He runs a 4.2 or so. Is big, explosive, has great agility and can catch. I don't know if he can block but he has the physical gifts to make it easy. Hopefully he doesn't end up in Cleveland. lol

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

DLU, it won't be difficult for us to win out. As long as the OL plays solid and everyone else continues to improve, we'll smoke everyone.

Other than the known heroes, I say Sharpton is the single most important piece to our puzzle for the rest of the season. If he could just NOT WHIFF on running plays, 1st and 2nd, we'll be fine because we won't play another team with QBs like Ponder and Jones the rest of the season.

Cat 5 Cane

ATTN...RANDY OR OTHER COACHES WHO READ THE SPACE... Guys lost for the year and some just around the corner... JMO

I don't believe that what we say makes a difference to what you do coaching the team, but we are getting too close to nipping the bud, playing our number one's, two's and third string guys at practices with full pads.

We've lost too many guys and are close to crippling ourselves, playing full boar. You know who is ready and who's not. strongly suggest to lighten up at Greentree and run fundamentals with light pads at least for the next couple of weeks...

Cat5

What we need is time to heal.

Cinco...don't hold your breath waiting for that. It ain't never gonna anytime soon. The only way that will occur is when the Canes are so good, and so deep, that he can't help it from happening.

Check back in two years when it does happen and U will see what I mean...damn I sound like Calvin now.

Cat 5 Cane

Guys... I hear what you're saying and agree that if we take care of business... then we'll be OK...yes. But be aware that we are getting thin at too many positions and each game is taking a toll on the players and if we want to win at the end, then we have to take care of what we have now, for the future.

Offensive line was way to lose and several were not following assignment ball... We need to get back to basics... Need lots of walk thru's.

Later

Esteban

i still put Spiller in the same boat as Reggie Bush. A 3rd down back who can score at any time, but still a 3rd down back most likely. Not a bad thing though. Helps his team win. and Leon Washington is in that boat too. You see how many games the Jets have won cause he made a couple plays at key moments since he's been there. Just when you are the 2nd pick like Bush expectation are that you'll be an every down back. That'll end up hurting Spiller's stock unless someone thinks he can be an undersized #1 like Brian Westbrook or Warrick Dunn was - I don't see it though.
