Old Skool

That should be "I'll bet that's makes his putter flutter"

canechic

Solar and Old skool - I was thinking of blood, money and life but I got your line of thinking.

canechic

Canesteeler the game was great last night. Sadly I love Dixon but I really, really hate the steelers. Ray Lewis is amazing!

GO CANES!

Old Skool

Sorry Canechic, the double entendre was too good to resist.
Even without the double entendre, it's still too good to resist.

orange 'n green in the vein

Bowden announcing retirement tomorrow? Jumbo Fish-head is about to get shellacked! How's he going to hide his laughable incompetence behind someone now? I mean, he got his start under the son, now takes over for the father? It's all somehow incestuous much like everything else in Trailerhasse.

Canez1

That fukkin ugly azz nerd Tiger is hunting some fine azz beav. I gotta give him that. DAAAAANG!!!!

Dayton is right. I wrestle the bald headed champ almost everyday and I am a much better person for it.

GO CANEZ!!!!!

Old Skool

According to sources, Bowden was given two options: return to FSU in 2010 as an ambassador to the program, in which he would have little input in the day-to-day operations of the program, or retire after the Seminoles' upcoming bowl game.

An offer he couldn't refuse: retire or become the Noles version of a wooden Indian.

CaniaK aka True Canes

so long Bobby, now go stick it to them

canechic

I am trying to find a clip of today's Joe Scarborough show...he goes off on CBS's coverage of Timmy Boy....it is just great and even has Stephen A. Smith chime in....

Old Skool

34 years, one of the winningest coaches ever. And you get to retire after something like the Meineke Car Care Bowl ... on December 26th.

He'll probably get to walk out through a archway of mufflers.

JCane

Too much discussion about uniforms as far as I'm concerned. Whatever uniform the Canes are wearing when they kick azz I like!

Sad to see how BB is going out, but no great surprises are there. Jimbo has been there a few years now, so it won't take any time to learn to dislike a whole new set of Noles.

I see we're now listed by a Calif. TE recruit, and Chase Ford from Kilgore got his expected offer from AZ and may also get one from UNC. Butch just wants to grab whomever UM is going for to slow us from plugging holes. Smart. Now how about we sign this guy and stick something in Butch's hole....

Canez1

Rumor is LSU is looking at Tommie Robinson to possibly fill their RB coach vacancy.

GO CANEZ!!!!!

Calvin

Appreciate those who had my back on that lil situation, it helped Canerock see the light, other than that, that's finished.

moneyCane, you took it back on that "U Way" that was about their best song too, alot of them didn't make it out the dungeon, witch doctor" had 1 good song, every day is a holiday.

9 & 3, we moving on up!

phillyscott, if theat mofo itch davis goes to notre shame, that'll be right up his alley with the rest of those sleez balls, and the only reason i'm using the word sleeze ball is because of that bullshat he did during the SEAN TAYLOR funeral. I can't respect that myself!

I could care less about the tiger woods situation, nothing new in relationship land, he probably told his wife the joke about why women's feet are shorter than men's(in case people don't know, so they can stand closer to the kitchen sink).

All i want to know is who is the alleged female, always good to see a pretty lady face, and as long as he did better than the espn guy, although that wouldn't take much!

Also,he's tiger woulds, he'll bounce back if she leaves em, but they're a young couple, if they got some strong elders around them, they'll bounce back, and if his wife allows herself to listen to a wise women, they'll be ok, but right now, just like in coral gables, a storm is still brewing!

Gotta luv those women when they flip out like that, you know right about now though, guys like barkley, jordan and will smith are calling tiger woods giving him the business. The 1st thing charles probably told tiger is, you wann hear what to do from me or kobe, kobe still got his wife, me and mj we just got each other right now and some freaks that we don't want to be around long anyway.

Less...it was fun meeting U2. Your shirt is in the mail as of today! It cracks Mrs. 86 up when someone calls out: "Hey is that 86?" She thinks I'm a rock star but I'm just a simple blog jocky.

Hopefully it's just a rumor. I know it's a long shot but I'd like this entire staff to stay together as long a possible. Isn't Robinson one of our better recruiters?

If she only knew that it was the security guards trying to remind you about the restraining order the cheerleaders put out

Trust me, that was my plan. But they had these mean looking cops stationed everywhere.

I was gonna have Mrs. 86 throw down a "diversion" and sneak that bad boy right outta there under there noses, but then I saw the 60,000 plus watching me and backed it down.

SOUP

Posted by: moneycane | November 30, 2009 at 08:49 PM

There were only three cheerleaders outta 12 that got restraining orders against me this year. That's not too bad, percentage wise and down by two over last year. See I'm improving!

canechic

CCC yes but I could not find out...i think in a few days it will be on you tube...it is great cuz joe went to UF law school

I think NO loses tonight.

This one is pretty funny.

JCane

I got to watch some of the replay on CSS tonight. It was terrible sportscasting. The opening drive of the 2nd half for USF, when they drove up the field and made it 21-10, UM called a D timeout. I was in the upper-upper deck (so high I could make cell calls faster than usual due to almost being able to touch the satellite!) and saw more guys run off then came back in, counted and saw only 10 on the field. This was clearly why Randy was going nuts trying to call that TO before the snap. I heard absolutely no mention of this on the broadcast, but there was a bunch of blabber about Randy nearly pulling a hamstring trying to call a TO without any consideration as to why. Ugh.

canezilla

lol 86 what you failed to mention that the three cheerleaders were the male ones...yikes!!!!

canechic

The play-by-play guys in the game Jcane were horrible. They went on for hours about the bobbling ball on the first TD and clearly no bobbling. Then spent the whole 4th qtr talking about Notre Dame...ohvay!

JCane

Yeah, CC. It was about that time in the 4th that I couldn't listen any more. The good thing about using the treadmill is that I can shut the headset off whenever I want...Two schools I least want to hear about are FU and NDU. For this week, Roll Tide Roll.

SOUP

I mention U and give you and your crew props in the feature article and then U go and do me like that? That ain't right bro. I'm tellin' The Shoes when I see her...

canechic

Saints look slightly good, lol!

CGNC

How great is it to see the Saints taking it to the Pats???? loving it.....

CGNC

Lol as for the Tiger Woods thing - can't wait for the Saturday Night Live skits

canechic

I know CG you see the faces of the Patriots? Priceless! That TD when D. Brees had like 3 fakes before he threw the TD pass....amazing!

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Soup, I just read the title again and wondered if you thought about saying, "Canes SLAM the door..."

It's late, I know. lol

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Football came from the quintessential sport. As a matter of fact, so did soccer.

Rugby's fine too. I'd put it way ahead of soccer but definitely behind football simply because of strategy, specialty and drama. Plus, the pads take it to an entirely different level in terms of the collisions.

But rugby and cricket are examples fo what Americans do with foreign things. If we didn't invent it outright we make it bigger and better.

Rugby's great though, in its own sort of primitive way.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Loco, and rugby doesn't have the potential for individual brilliance or specialization that football does, for triumph or failure. Just look at Jimmy Graham's personal development after those drops against VT. You think he ever experienced anything like that on a basketball court?

shwarma

Bg - Any word on whether Christian Thomas is actual a viable option or just a recruiting site looking for clicks (with recent TE activity, I am optimistic coaches are making a pitch, just seems like he is looking mainly west coast)

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

no. water polo

Posted by: Daytoncane | November 30, 2009 at 06:17 PM

>>>>

Water polo is another great sport, absolutely demanding, just like synchronized swimming but without the synchronicity.

But the question was about why is football the greatest. Not just about what are incredibly demanding sports. There are plenty of those, just ask a marathon runner.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Dayton, you saw I gave wrestling and boxing tremendous praise. I think every American boy should play football and wrestle at least one year of their school years.

For the record, I prefer solo sports because I could never stand leaving my fate in the hands of other people, whether it be a coach or another player.

I'm just making the point about football as a total sport, from player to spectator.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

So Tiger was playing around huh? lol His wife isn't anything special so he probably got bored. Problem is he should've done this BEFORE he got married, a la Kobe.

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Solar, Wilson's a RS soph. but he had the most quiet good year I've ever heard of. He started out with all the pre-season hype then after the S. Carolina debacle, the hacks wrote him off.

Now, after beating UNC, he's like "I didn't go anywhere."

The ACC has some good QBs though.

DrewZ2

Here's to hoping that the Saints run up the score on the Pats just like they (pats) tried to do every game in 2007... No class

Speaking of class did everybody see the end of the USC vs. UCLA game??

Rick Neuhiesal calling a pointless TO with under a min. left down 2 TDs?? I'm not a huge Pete Carroll fan but UCLA deserved it... USC was trying to do the classy thing and take 3 kneeldowns to end the game but Rick wanted to prolong the game. Can't blame USC for scoring a TD then. If UCLA wants to play out the whole game then don't get pissed that USC tried to score after you (UCLA) stopped them from kneeling.

Another reason I like Randy Shannon, he avoids all possible talk of running up the score on anyone..even when given the chance.

CGNC

CC I agree - Drew Brees is the real deal and now has talent around him. They look really good. Wish the Fins looked that good - LOL

BTW Beason was charged with assault at a strip club here in Charlotte last night. Probably got into it with some patron after their loss yesterday
