SSiaB you are late to the party. How you feeling about the game tomorrow
Posted by: moneycane | November 14, 2009 at 02:49 AM
F*** UiF
That is all.
And just who exactly envies UiFs recruiting? Whoever says that should go wash their mouth out with a vat of OxiClean
What exactly is wrong with:
Graig Cooper, Allen Bailey, Damien Berry, Orlando Franklin, DVD, Lee Chambers, Leonard Hankerson, Adewale Ojomo, Arthur Brown, Marcus Forston, Cookie Buchanon, Jordan Futch, Brandon Harris, Glue Hands Johnson, Marcus Robinson, Davon Johnson, Big Ben Jones, Sean Spence, Tommy Streeter, Miami Vice Telemaque, Brandon Road Grater Washington, Travis Benjamin, Jacory Harris, Jeremy Lewis, LaRon Byrd, Micanor Regis, Pimp Collier, Kendall Thompkins, John Calhoun, Patrick Bowling Ball Hill, Andrew Smith, Ray Ray Armstrong, Lamar Miller, Brandon McGee, Mike James - WHO? MIKE JAMESSS, Dyron Dye, Jermaine Johnson, Luther Robinson, Olivier Vernon, Malcolm Bunche, Curtis Porter, AJ Highsmith, Billy Sanders, Jared Wheeler, Cory White and Stephen Plein?
What's wrong with those guys again enough that anyone would ever envy another program's recruiting?
Mark Whipple has no need for Viagra b/c of the offensive toys he has to play with .. dude walks around with an attentive soldier just thinking about how to move the ball down the field
And give the baby Canes on D another year to get all of those Sophomores into Juniors and Frosh into Sophs ... depth returns at all positions ... Lovett will be the same way
Posted by: Six | November 14, 2009 at 02:53 AM
Is this thing on???
Posted by: moneycane | November 14, 2009 at 02:54 AM
I am not the recruitnik but I feel like The Boss man and co have done a great job. Just look at the list Six wrote. You can take any three players off that list and they can have done more than any players that were recruited during the ChOKER regime.
Posted by: moneycane | November 14, 2009 at 03:07 AM
Oh, and I got SIXTH ... AGAIN
I'm freakin money beotch
To tell you the truth, UiF will be better off without QB #15, b/c Brantley can actually throw the ball around the yard. They might actually line him up under center ... something UiF hasn't done with their QB in 3 years.
Believe me, Brantley is legit as a QB. He's not a selfish s.o.b. like the current QB is in calling his own number all the damn time and he actually goes past his 1st read while not staring down his receivers. Will he have a tremendous monster monkey on his back with all the morons out there trying to compare everything he does to the current hypocritical bible beater? Yea .. and that's why they're basically idiot fans. Two different people, two different styles of play.
You know who all UiF loses after this year?
Tebow of Nazareth, Brandon James, Riley Cooper, David Nelson, Carl Moore, Jermaine Cunningham, Dustin Doe, Ryan Stamper, Brandon Spikes, Dorian Monroe, Markihe Anderson, Wondy Pierre-Louis
That's 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 1 DE, 1 NT, 4 LBs, 1 SS, 2 DBs
Now, with that in mind. How many of these guys will possibly take a chance in the draft?
Aaron Hernandez, the Pouncey twins, Carlos Dunlap, Ahmad Black, Major Wright, Joe Haden? They're all Juniors ... say they win the NChampionship (which I said that they would at the beginning of the year)
Why would those cats stay?
They're going to fall off the perch a hell of a lot sooner than later, esp. with losing all those people
Their staying power will not be for long. Right now they're the #1 team in the nation and defending champs - that is fact. Basically the reason they are is b/c the other 2 teams of the Big 3 in the state of Florida took a nosedive for various reasons, which allowed the Crocs to crawl on top
That's not jealousy - that's fact as well
Not only will their staying power not be for long b/c them losing those players, it will also be b/c of Nick Saban at Bama building that program into a beast ... it will be b/c Lane Kiffin (even if you think he's a clown) will build Rocky Top back up and if you don't think he will, you really need to liquify reality into a huge syringe and shoot yourself up with it like a heroin fiend - you have his dad running the D and you give Lane a chance to bring in a couple of recruiting classes with his own QB, ya, they'll be back quick
The orange and blue King Kong is about to fall off the building

Yeah everything goes in a cycle. Uif is the top dog at the moment but it wont last 4ever. Honestly I feel that college football is better when the Canes rule and FSU is a notch behind

And UiF is not losing to South Cackalack and the Head Visor tomorrow though, believe that
Don't buy into the hype that every media outlet that is trying to make this into a good game will feed to you .. "Oh, it's the Head Ball Coach, la la la" ... that doesn't matter. Spurrier isn't behind center - Stephen Garcia is
They beat Vandy (0-6 in conference) by 4 points
They beat Kentucky by 2 points
They got stomped by Rocky Top and Pig Sooey in back-to-back weeks
Their rushing offense is ranked 91st in the country, but the Crocs are 13th in the country against the run ... their passing offense is 37th in the country, but the Crocs are 2nd against the pass
The Crocs have beaten South Cackalack 17 out of 18 times, 3 straight and put a 56-6 curbstomping on them last year
The game chickens just plain suck at the end of this season, they only averaging around 12 points in their last 4 games
Posted by: Six | November 14, 2009 at 03:32 AM
Sometimes, i hope that some fans would have the same desire to go to the games as much as i do, a lot of south floridians use the same ol' bullcrap reason that there is too much to do down here in Soflo. it's 19 bucks a game, it's nothing, it's like buying a shirt from the gap!

For the GameDay Blog I have a couple of predictions
1) Sam Sheilds will get his first pick or find his way into the endzone somehow.
2) Orlando Fanklin will dominate the guy in front of him all afternoon.
3) The Defense will create atleast two turnovers with one coming in the redzone
4) There will not be a cleanly blocked punt. You can bet that after the UVA game Randy lost countless hours of sleep and he has "coached up" the special teams.
5) Obviously Miami will out score UNC

5) Obviously Miami will out score UNC
Posted by: moneycane | November 14, 2009 at 03:57 AM
then, next thing you know Yates is throwing bombs down field!
It is always the case with the teams we play against, there offense would suck the entire yr, but you can bet that when they play us, all of a sudden their offense shows up!
Posted by: Sean Spence is a Beast!!! | November 14, 2009 at 04:01 AM
The Mystique of Miami!
It's good thing and a bad thing!
Coz' everybody we've played against always got something to prove, we're always the measuring stick to everyone, we're the team that other teams can say "we beat Miami, we have to be top 10", the best of them comes out when it's the hurricanes! they wanna match the intensity of the hurricane swag!
Posted by: Sean Spence is a Beast!!! | November 14, 2009 at 04:05 AM
It does happen that way SSiaB, but I dont think this is the case. Greg Little and Draughn are their most explosive players. One wont be on the field for this game. Last year UNC had Hakeem Nix(NFL talent), B. Tate(explosive), and B. Foster( average) at WR. Greg Little was the fouth option behind those guys. Houston is a big back but I dont think he has the tools to break a run for 50+ or catch any long passes out of the backfield. Their D will keep them in the game but wear down late and the Canes will pull out the W.
Posted by: moneycane | November 14, 2009 at 04:09 AM
VT was struggling offensively before they played us, and then when it's finally us they going up against, Tyrod looks like freakin' michael vick running the ball!
Clemson's offense was mediocre at best til' they played us, all of a sudden you have Spiller returning kicks a'la hester!
I wouldn't be surprised if all of a sudden Yates looks like the 08 version of Bradford!

Yeah but look at all the dynamic players you those teams had. Clemson had Spiller and Ford. Va Tech had Tyrod and R. Williams. Any of those players would start for UNC. Tyrod is not the greatest passer but he is a very dynamic and explosive player.
Posted by: moneycane | November 14, 2009 at 04:14 AM
I am pumped for this game and I am ready for UNC to get Butch slapped. Randy hasn't forgotten and won't let this team fall in the 27 point hole it did last time in Chapel Hill
I'm out

Yeah, i understand what you're saying Money, I'm just saying that where was their offense before playing us?? other teams gets a break and catch this teams sleeping, when it's time to play us, they wake up and all of a sudden they find their offense playing like one of the best in the country. Spillers heisman talk gots a lot to do with how they played the Canes, he should send us a gift! when they see the U logo on our players helmet, it's like the animal in them comes out.

We've got this, especially if Duke wins before kickoff.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | November 14, 2009 at 04:36 AM
I truly believe that also Vein, just worried we might struggle a lil early on, it's never fun to watch when your team plays catch up, i'm too young to have a heart attack!
Posted by: Sean Spence is a Beast!!! | November 14, 2009 at 04:52 AM
Does anyone feel like the Duke score will affect our team?
I'll say this much. If Duke loses and we still come out like gangbusters I'm going to give a healthy portion of credit to our coaching staff.

For this game we have to put pressure on Yates and STOP the run
Posted by: CGNC | November 14, 2009 at 07:44 AM
404.. Great day to be a Miami-Huricane...
Ohhh Yeah!
Allot of stuff is riding on this game... never won in chapel hill, never beat Butch, the newbie's have something to prove to themselves... winning against a team that have owned them late in the 4th qtr... but it's a new year and they have been turning the tide in every game this year since losing to VT 31/7. One thing for sure, this team has grown up since that game and are finding ways to dominate or win games that they could or should have lost do to turnovers. No longer are they giving up, like last year, when the tank was empty. Now, our Hurricanes are finding new ways to prove to themselves and growing up in front of our eyes...
After reading today's paper, I believe, the team is ready for a late run... yeah, we ready!
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/colleges/um/story/1332316.html
Miami never has won in Chapel Hill, falling 27-16 in 1963, 31-28 on a last-second field goal in 2004 (Tar Heels fans stormed the field and tore down the goalposts), and 33-27 in 2007. Davis took over UNC in 2007.
Last year at Dolphin Stadium, the Hurricanes were up 14-0 in the first quarter, 17-7 at halftime and 24-14 with about 10 minutes left in the game. North Carolina scored on a 74-yard touchdown pass with nine minutes left to make it 24-21. A 14-yard touchdown pass that beat cornerback Demarcus Van Dyke made it 28-24. And on the game's final play, UNC defensive back Trimane Goddard pulled the ball out of the hands of receiver Kayne Farquharson in the end zone to seal the victory with an interception.
``It hurts more to lose a heartbreaker than to lose convincingly,'' cornerback Brandon Harris said. ``Because some games you think you know you have in the bag -- like the North Carolina game.
``A lot of the guys who played in that game moved on, but the whole secondary takes it personal as a unit. We want redemption.''
Van Dyke, whose play has improved considerably, said it was time to ``move to the present'' and take care of this game.
``You can't dwell on the past,'' he said. ``I'm just dong everything Coach Shannon and [defensive backs coach Wesley] McGriff tell me to do.''
