It was a cold and gloomy night. The rising moon peaked out between the low, hovering clouds and glistened on the surface of the dark waters of Tampa Bay.
Three miles off the coast, in what looked like a simple shrimp trawler the warriors prepared to unleash their evil plot. With faces covered in camouflage paint and their weapons locked and loaded, they readied themselves for the dangerous mission behind enemy lines.
Hardened by previous battles and strengthened by months of practice these soldiers were anxious for action.
Frustrated by years of failure, their plan was to hijack the ACC Championship game and steal the trophy that they could not win on the field. But in the end it was not to be. At the last minute the plan was aborted when orders came down from General Shannon back at the Canespace Command Center and the warriors were ordered to stand down.
Miami would have to wait another year to win it on the field and then secure what has so easily eluded them: The ACC Championship.
OK, OK, so Tom Clancy I am not, but I was at Raymond James Stadium for the ACC Championship game in Tampa last night. Surely that must count for something, right?
While your Miami Hurricanes have yet to play in much less win an ACC title they were certainly watching as one team they beat convincingly (#12 Georgia Tech) and one team they lost to in overtime (#25 Clemson) battled it out for the title of 2009 ACC Champion.
The Yellow Jackets had to get a push start to get their offense going but once they got their motor running they would outlast and outscore the Tigers 39-34 in an offensive showcase for both teams.
As you can see from the photo above, these young ladies were going "all in" and after a short chat had me absolutely convinced that C.J. Spiller was a thriller. And he was! Number 28 for the Tigers was nothing short of spectacular once again as he collected 301 all purpose yards and scored four touchdowns. Spiller put on another performance that almost assuredly will have him among the top five candidates for the coveted Heisman Trophy.
Then I wandered over to the Tech side of the stadium and found these two young ladies effectively advocating for Georgia Tech's plan to use Head Coach Paul Johnson's grind it out, ball control, option offense to try to keep the ball away from the dangerous Spiller. While things did not quite go according to plan, the Jackets managed to generate enough offense and score enough points to overcome the Tigers' primary weapon. Well we can't all be right, right?
But enough about them, let's talk about us. So here it is: In 2010 Miami will not only play in the ACC title game but will win their first ACC crown. That's right, I am predicting it even before the 2010 recruiting class is signed, before Spring practice rolls around and way before the next football season even starts.
Yeah, I said it! Now, somebody vault that.
what games did pimp collier run back punts in?

Tebow should've pet his head a-la pouncey on tebow, to keep his lying ass from getting too heated up and dehydrated!

4 cupcakes non-conference games, 8 home games, played 2 ranked teams all year long, and still couldn't hack getting undefeated to finish a season????
Wow, talk about overrated!
Posted by: Sean Spence is a Beast!!! | December 06, 2009 at 04:33 PM
mm01,
Thanks for that. I was under the mistaken impression that this was going to be announced tonight @ 8:00. Just as well.
Posted by: Lurker | December 06, 2009 at 04:34 PM
miamimike01... I'm not sure if it will happen "right" at 5:00pm... it looks like they've got a whole buildup to the announcement planned... (for the Champs, that is.)
Still, we "should" know before the ESPN show.

MM01...nice work as usual my friend!

U of Felons 8-4 next year, vault that!
Posted by: Sean Spence is a Beast!!! | December 06, 2009 at 04:29 PM
I was thinking 9-3, only because Cryer's squad plays that usual LAME AZZ non-conference schedule. Which will be 4 guaranteed wins for them.
Also, U's got factor in the S.E.CORRUPT game officials LITERALLY giving the GayTurds a sure 'nough win. Think the Arkansas game this season.

Memo of the Hurricane sort.
All is relatively normal in the major college football realm today.
Because in the Grand Scheme of college football matters, all that matters is your Miami Hurricanes is still, historically speaking in a post modern sort of way, the Sunshine states nUmero Uno program!
Miami, F-L-A Hurricanes FIVE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
GayTurds 3
F.S.Who 2
'Nough said!

Sagarin's computer poll has UM at #11.
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt09.htm
I think that is about right, but when the BCS poll comes out, UM will probably be at 14-15, ranked ahead of Okla., USC, ND and several other teams picked ahead of them in the preseason.
Posted by: windy1 | December 06, 2009 at 02:05 PM
I was surprised to see TCU's "strength of schedule" ranking so poor. (84) Boise, was no surprise at only (98). "The U" is (18) by the way.
And BYU is ranked ahead of us in the Coaches Poll, with a strength of schedule at only (77)? Just stupid...
Thanks for that link windy1...

Uh, did anybody actually read the article I spent three hours writing and posting? I went all the way to Tampa for U idiots! I'm just sayin'...
