Just some random thoughts.

1. I was listening to the interviews on WQAM of Jason Fox and Baby J as they prepre for th NFL combine. It reminded me of something that Truth said awhile back about Swasey being a VERY good speed and agility guy and an OK strength guy. As you listen to the interview, Fox says his goal is to get stronger, so because of that he's chosed Pete Bommarito to do his strength training. Baby J on the other hand says he wants to get faster, and therefore is working with Swasey. 2 different guys with 2 different focuses and goals, and therefore 2 different approaches on getting there. Once again Truth, thanks for the "good" word.

2. Arthur Brown. I was thinking about when he first came to UM and Glenn Cook was being interviewed about which of the new guys were impressing him. He immediately said Sean Spence. He then went on to PRAISE Spence. Manny then asked about AB and his FIRST words were, "He's raw. Its going to take some time."

When Glenn Cook can say that about you, we should've already seen the writing on the wall.

ok..so i got the P90X Friday....I put together the pull-up bar...I couldnt even do ONE FREAKIN PULL UP!!!!

They recommend you be able to do at least 3 before starting the program lol...I got a month to get it done lol

BG, if Fox needs to get stronger something's wrong with our S&T program, not Swasey. Either he needs more training or they need to bring in a strength specialist. That's just ridiculous.

And Cook's words were prophetic, although I along with others hoped AB had a steep learning curve but I guess it was too much too fast, esp. the Mike.

I've done it twice. You'll be doing 10+ by the time the first 12 weeks are finished. BTW Plyo became one of my favorite workouts, while yoga is the one I hate the most. In order to get the most bang for your buck, you have to commit to the diet. I dropped 46lbs.

Canez1..thanks for the support...i think i might have to go that chair route lol....i got 1 1/2 months left of the Insanity program..i also added push ups at night and curls to try and build my arms so that when I start the p90x i will be ready...I got till the middle of June..thats when the wedding is..im determind to have a nice body by then..or at least be slim lol

Focus on balance in your body, not just the beach muscles

As 8th man can attest, just like a lot of dudes I know - yoga isn't easy, and neither are pilates - but at first they just thought it was something chicks did. Meatheads laugh at it - real athletes know what's up that have trained with it

Your body is similar to a tree, the strength comes from the base and core

Body weight exercises are the best if you truly want to see just how much "strength" a person has

Don't over train either, b/c you'll be doing yourself no good. All the hard work you put into it, will just be wasted

And make sure you stretch

Seriously .. stretch man .. you stretch, you lengthen the muscle, less chance of injury, you get stronger as well, and you don't look like a fireplug that can't lift his arms above his chin

Great 60 times for Benjamin, Miller and DVD, and the Canes also have other fast guys, like Brandon Harris, who did not post times there. This speed is a big upgrade over the two years ago, and the Canes have posted more people on that list than any other program. These improved 60 times remind me of Manny's post-Spring-testing articles on Swasey where he shows the upgrade and progress of the recent recruits. These Canes are like the Canes of old in terms of speed, and Regis on the shot put is impressive, too.

The Canes really have a lot of talent coming back all across the board. If they play up to their potential, this will be a special year, the Canes will be back in the NC discussion, and a new streak of first-round NFL picks will return again soon.

Once I get over this bug I have I am hitting the gym hard.

I have a wedding in Orlando to go to March 4th so I would like to drop 10lbs by then.

Umike don't feel bad about the pull ups. When I first started I could only do 1. Now I can bang out about 7 w/o the chair. Use the chair it's your friend. And Six ain't lying about the yoga. Prolly the hardest hour and a half ever.
