could it be?

UMike

that just reads like a sick..sick defensive line up...if we can just stay healthy

UMike

where to i send articles to these days?

Sebastian(2001U G.O.A.T.)

Very good job of breaking down the D.

I am also interested in seeing what Jamal does this spring

The kid that could open some eyes is Dyron Dye. I watched him alot in H.S. with Ray Ray and A.D. and he was a force on both sides of the ball. Very quick coming off the edge and getting to the passer. He could quickly move up that chart

miamimike01

In the secondary, there are some interchangeable parts. Hill, Reid, and even Devont'a could play safety.

CB is a group we can't afford injuries in. Having to rely on FR. corners scares the hell out of me.

LB, too. Miami has to find a way to keep the back 7 healthy this year.

The numbers are finally right, but the depth is untested.

miamimike01

bg, another outstanding effort.

You finely crafted ALL the information out there, mixed it with some football knowledge, and wrote another gem.

miamimike01

I already have the article and link up on Facebook.

That should bring some more traffic.

From www.hurricanesports.com:

The 12th-ranked University of Miami baseball team will open its 2010 season this weekend, playing host to Rutgers in a three-game series, Feb. 19-21, at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field. The Hurricanes, coming off an NCAA-record 37th straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009, will begin their quest for a 12th College World Series appearance under head coach Jim Morris in the season-opener Friday night at 7 p.m.

Miami will send two of the nation's top left-handed hurlers to the mound in the first two games against the Scarlet Knights, with juniors Eric Erickson and Chris Hernandez taking the ball on Friday and Saturday night respectively. Erickson, who returns after missing the entire 2009 season recovering from Tommy John surgery, will go up against Rutgers' right-hander Casey Gaynor in the opener for both squads on Friday. Hernandez will square off against left-hander Dennis Hill Saturday night while senior right-hander Jason Santana is slated to take the mound on Sunday in the series finale against right-hander Willie Beard. Erickson, Hernandez and Santana enter the season with a combined career record of 51-12 at UM.

Offensively for the `Canes, it starts with All-ACC performers Yasmani Grandal and Scott Lawson. Grandal - a preseason All-America selection at catcher - led all ACC catchers and ranks third among all returning players in the league having hit 16 home runs a season ago. Lawson, UM's top returning hitter, is back at the top of UM's lineup after hitting .333 a season ago.

86..where do I email the new article?

Could this deliver Henderson to The U after all???

http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/story/12945353/uscs-day-in-ncaa-court-comes-with-future-in-balance

Rival's Mike Ferrel says: The big question: Who is the No. 2 team for Henderson? While many suspect it is Ohio State, rumors have begun to swirl that perhaps another visit to Miami could be in the works. Henderson was impressed with his official visit to Miami and the Hurricanes have some momentum here if USC isn't the choice.

ALEX RODRIGUEZ PARK RENOVATIONS:

Renovations to Alex Rodriguez Park continued throughout the offseason, as new bleachers were added down both the left and rightfield lines. In addition to increased seating capacity, a new scoreboard was constructed in place of the previous one in left field.

Be back later guys. Off to play some NCAA 10. HAHAHA! You know me...Got to get it in!

More from www.hurricanesports.com:

University of Miami juniors Yasmani Grandal and Chris Hernandez have been named to the Golden Spikes Award Watch List, USA Baseball announced Thursday. The watch list, which marks the first step toward identifying the top amateur baseball player in the country, features 50 student-athletes and is sponsored by Major League Baseball.

Grandal emerged last season as one of the top power hitters in the Atlantic Coast Conference, leading the Hurricanes and all ACC catchers with 16 home runs. The Miami native led the `Canes with a 1.081 OPS in 2009 en route to earning All-ACC second team honors. He finished his sophomore season ranking second on the team in slugging percentage (.599) and total bases (118), while collecting 45 RBI and 48 runs scored in 59 games.

Hernandez - a left-handed starter for the `Canes - enters the 2010 season with a career record of 18-5 and a career ERA of 3.20. In 2008, Hernandez earned numerous national honors as a true freshman, including a first team All-America honor by Louisville Slugger and a National Freshman Pitcher of the Year honor by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Last season as a sophomore, he won a team-high seven games while striking out 93 batters in 90 2/3 innings of work.

Miami is one of just 11 schools nationally with multiple student-athletes represented on this year's watch list.

Lopaka001

Could this deliver Henderson to The U after all???

Hopefully Paul Dees will do the right thing and drop the hammer down on USC.

Here is their blog:

No comments at all but obvious on campus connections. Must be a UM student?

Lopaka...do U have an email for the blog author? Can U link us???

BTW..if we have no names on the jerseys I guarantee U that we will lose 4 games.

Or go undefeated, not sure which one.

Gimmicks are us?

Good article again bg.

I like how you took time to explain your view on the guys that don't get all the headlines.

solarcane

skool, that magazine cover piece was hysterical! I'm still laughing.

86 the fan page is good. If Canespacers could post it on their profile or suggest it to friends that would be even better!

Today's status update is the countdown until kickoff: 195 days.

Yeah, I'm counting!

University of Miami seniors Jimmy Graham and Matt Pipho have been named to the 2009 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Football Team released by the conference office Wednesday.

Graham, a senior tight end from Goldsboro, N.C., ranked second on the team in touchdown catches (5) and finished his only year of playing football with 17 catches for 213 yards. He played in all 13 games for the Hurricanes. Graham was a four-year standout on the Hurricanes’ men’s basketball team before the 2009 football season. He was named to the 2007 Men’s Basketball All-ACC Academic Team as a sophomore.

Pipho, a senior offensive lineman from LaPorte City, Iowa, started all 13 games at right tackle for the Hurricanes. He graded out at 90 percent and tallied 18 pancake blocks.

Thanks for all U do JSQ!

Lopaka001

I sent her a tweet already no answer back yet.
I only have her tweet account and flickr email not her blog contact.

My pleasure. I've been slow this week with being sick. I found out I got the strep and sinus infection from my secretary, who got it from her son, who got it from a daycare full of croc spawn (her description). Another thing to blame on jorts.

Pipho graded out at 90%?

unless that's a typo, Stoutland's credibility just took a major hit.

sure enough someone will come on here telling me im wrong about Pipho.

... and that Ladies and gentleman says it all for 2010.

Think of 7/8/9 guys coming in, that would play right now, if they were ready. Think of all of the unproven guys that red shirted last year. Now think of the guys that sat on the bench last year, waiting for the seniors to vacate. Throw in two new coaches. A new Oline. An unproven back-up at QB and a Mike at MLB. Now for the cherry on top... throw in one hell-of-a-tough schedule, that even "The Great Saban" would run away from...

and U got Miami in 2010.

Sitting back and listening to the mighty, saying how we are going to kick everybodies azz... makes me laugh, if it weren't for the sobering truth that this year (Win or Lose) is going to be a tough year for us.

Maturity and experience is needed at every position, cept one and that might be Bosher. Everyone else, including Randy the coaching staff, needs another year or two or three to be on top of their game... allot to do and so little time to do it in...

NC in 2011... maybe but that's another story!

solarcane

you're wrong about Pipho

86Cane

Your are SO wrong about Pipho

solarcane

cat good post

canezilla

just renewed tickets..lower price sweet.

CaneSawMassacre

Dayton did I read that right...

Pipho passed his bioliogy test with a 90% after eating 18 pancakes???

No wonder he sucked on the d*mn field, studying and stuffing his phucking face...

Geez..

86Cane

CSM...LMAO! Nice work there.

CSM

he couldn't have been eating. he would've actually looked like an OL if he was.

maybe he graded out at 90% for making 18 pancakes for Stoutland.
