What do you guys think?

Posted by: CanesFanStuckInCali | July 01, 2010 at 01:51 AM

I do not think we would have to do that. We get plenty of exposure already. I think Heisman campaigns are better suited for the guys that don't gain that much exposure out there. Usually happens with west coast guys to gain exposure over here on the east coast. Like that one campaign that Oregon QB, Joey Harrington, did back in the day. The one that had the giant billboard of himself.

Like 86 said, "U win, U get the stats, U get the Heisman."

WHEN J12 has a stellar game against OSU at the Shoe, he'll catapult up that list anyway. He don't need no stinking billboard! lol

Report: Seantrel Henderson 'leaning' towards Miami

The USC coaching staff is supposedly not letting him out of his LOI, which means he would have to sit out a year. Not that big of a deal IMO but something the media should definitely be demonizing USC over and they're not!

When Randy rightfully barred certain schools who were illegally recruiting Bobby Drama while he was still a UM player, the media made a huge deal.

Now we're in a situation where the player and the "other" school involved didn't actually do anything wrong--USC is the morally culpable party here since they were the ones who A) cheated, and B) lied to a kid about the consequences.

But the media instead turns a blind eye, which is BS if you ask me!

Both great points!!!

2 months and a day left till gameday!!!

*opening day

I tell you what......Lamar Thomas just cracks me up. I can probably listen to that guy all day long.

Bossman says J12 100 percent healthy!!!

I was at the 1995 NFC champ game in Dallas with a couple cowboy fans.

When Neon's name was announced pregame the place erupted!!!

Gave me goosebumps.

Needless to say I was a Cowboys fan for that night against the Packers.

Couldn't help it.

Dude was electric and the fans absolutely loved him.

Love me some Dallas and good ol southern chics!

Nice to have yall out.

I must've heard that saying a hundred times that week lol

@BFeldmanESPN Tweet Per the St. Paul Pioneer Press, blue-chip OT Seanatrel Henderson is balking at his commitment to USC and is leaning toward Miami. about an hour ago

Canez1 - I too am a huge Cowboys fan. And watching Primetime play was always great. I even enjoyed watching him when he played for FSU. Only downfall for me is he didn't like to tackle much.

I guess I'm behind, but I just saw a photo of Snoop throwing up the U. Is he leaving USC, too? LMAO!!!

Well folks, it looks like I won't be seeing #1 for a week (although I have figured it out).

Off to visit the state of CaneFanStuckInCali.

I don't know if they have internet that far west, or even if they have cars. Those folks on the other side of the Missussippa do things differently. And I will likely be busy trying to relax.

I am just glad this vacation doesn't come during football season. 8-)

^^^^ I would assume that shot came from "All I Do Is Win" Video. Checking it out on YouTube now...

UM Football Welcomes New `Canes to Campus

Here it is. Snoop Dogg throwing up THE U in the video if no one has seen it.

@ 3:05 mark:

Does ne one else see the college football field wide open this year to win an NC... The past couple years it was florida, oklahoma, texas, usc.. i see the times are a changin... tebows out, usc's down, no mccoy, no bradford.. the only team that seems to be a sure favorite to get there is alabama, but who else? OSU always flops and Pyror doesnt seem like he can get em there. I mean besides Bama who would really be a favorite to win it or just get there to play em cause it wouldnt be another SEC team...

That video that bg1906 posted with Hankie doing the drills ... you see Jacory standing there right next to him just watching in amazement

From 4:50 - 5:11, look to the right and there's Jacory just watching

Then you hear Jacory saying "I might get confused at that" and start laughing

Funny as hell right here, 2:38 - 3:09 in the video when you see Duper trying to do the drill that Hankie is doing and yelling

"Whoa, HOLD ON, ONE AT A TIME ..... You ever tried that? That's hard"

Since "The Duper Project" was my LOF last year which I assume he won on offense, I would like to make my 2010 picks if I may.

Offense: Gotta go with last years pick again, #85.

Defense: He was out last season due to a broken jaw, BUT I think this man is going to have a chip on his shoulder the size of Alaska if not the universe! #97 is it!

Special Teams: This one is tough since we really don't know, but I think I'll go with #28...maybe #6. Damn...I'll go with #28 just cause I've seen it.

Six I was just thinking about that. How hard can catching two baseballs be. Hank makes it look so easy. Then Duper was doing it, and I had a greater appreciation for Hanks skills. Some of the catches that Hank made last year where because of the work he put in. The UCF game is a perfect example.

Thanks 360!

For a second there I got scared at Latwan Anderson not being on that list. Then I remembered that he's on a track scholarship. *Whew!*

Does anyone know when Latwan comes into town and when he'll start practicing with the football team?

ROTFLMBO!!! I can see that would cause some concern, but I'm glad you remembered!

I'm not sure how it's all going to go down, but I think he has to be in a track meet before he can set foot on the field on gameday. As far as practice goes though, I'm not sure.

After the 2-0 start, these guys started listening to the hype, and it was a factor in the VT game.

Yeah, no press on Jacory for Heisman THIS YEAR, giving him a chance to have a title under his belt for SENIOR year.

Posted by: Ungar | July 01, 2010 at 09:01 AM

I agree with that!

From Shannon's interview, I think he was talking to Coker:

He said, "Everybody have these highlight tapes. I say, 'Fellas make sure you guys bring me a game tape. And bring me a game tape against a great opponent.'"

He goes on to say, "The mistake you get, Joe, is when you go outside [the state], and you don't know the competition."

Stay in your backyard! Ah, back to the good ole days!

NEW YORK -- Tennessee Titans backup quarterback Chris Simms was arrested Thursday in New York City on charges of driving while on drugs, police said.

Simms is the son of former New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms.

The 29-year-old was stopped in Manhattan at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday. Police say he appeared to be slurring his speech and his eyes were red, and he appeared to have been smoking marijuana.

Police said they smelled marijuana in Simms' car but did not find any.

One of our bloggers spoke with him recently and he is taking care of some family business and is going to report in August for Fall Semester. We will have an interview with him then.

LA doesn't have to appear in a track meet first- the rule is that he is a track sholarship until he appears in a football game, then we have to consider him a football scholarship athlete. But whether he participates in track before playing football doesn't affect his status. Strange rule, but it's there to prevent schools from stacking football players on other sports' lists.

Zilla...I just checked the Kansas and K-state rosters and no Arthur Brown on either one. Doesn't he have to sit out a year?

Thanks for breaking it down for me. That's why I lead with "I think". Works great when you're proven wrong because you're really not wrong. lol

Ex Longhorns have had a pretty rough month with Benson, Young and now Simms

Hurriphin 302-4-305

Have the new guys got their numbers yet?

It's never going to end is it? ESPN now has a Tebow tracker:

And now there is a Broncogator:

Ok, now I can officially say, "I've seen it all!"

Sean Spence is a Beast!!!

Seantrel Henderson's latest, St. Paul Pioneer reports.

Sean Spence is a Beast!!!

Henderson leaning towards Miami per this report.

they said on college football live that USC wasnt going to release him. I thought I read that because of the issues incoming freshman could leave..not sure the deal

Who am I?

He is in his second year as the assistant director of football operations, where he handles team travel as well as serves as a liaison between the football program and NFL scouts.

He came to Miami after spending the 2007 football season working with the Miami Dolphins in operations. He assisted with gameday duties, player and coaches' needs as well as training camp.

He worked with the Arena Football's Austin Wranglers from 2005-07 as an operations' manager. He also coached high school football for three years at his alma mater Jordan High Shcool.

A native of Durham, N.C., he received a bachelor of arts in management from the University of North Carolina in 2005. He earned a master's degree in sport management in 2007 from the University of Texas at Austin.

While a student at UNC, he worked for four years (2001-05) as a football operations assistant helping with recruiting efforts.

I thought the same thing. Then I read only Juniors and Seniors can transfer?

For a school that claimed it didnt know a thing about what was going on it sure had no problem making Todd McNair(RB Coach) the scapegoat in the mess

His contract ended yesterday

And Sneaky Pete still claims he had no clue about any of this

Lane=Death Penalty

The Miami Heat took a sneak peak Monday at the players it selected in the second round of last week's NBA Draft, as well as at others who could be added to the summer-league entry it will field next month in Las Vegas.

While No. 32 pick Dexter Pittman, the center out of Texas, and No. 41 pick Jarvis Varnado, the forward out of Mississippi State, were on the court, No. 42 pick Da'Sean Butler, the forward out of West Virginia, watched from the side as he continues to rehab the ACL tear in his left knee sustained during the Final Four.

In addition, a pair of former University of Miami players took part in Monday's session, forwards Anthony King and Brian Asbury.

Replacement for Mark Pray?

Little birdie told me he could very well be, or be a highly ranked candidate

Maybe b/c of the time he spent with Hocutt at University of Oklahoma?

I saw on the local news last night that ex-USF RB Mike Ford was arrested again. This time for domestic battery in Sarasota

I guess some of these kids just cant seem to stay out from trouble

Another one of the reasons they had to get rid of Leavitt

He had that way of ignoring the problems and hope they would work out ok

so whats up with the Seantrel Hendersons dad is trying to be a rapper thing???

Latin - I loved your story about Jacory at FSU!

Reading the Seantrel article taught me one thing...USC dominates us in song girls.

but Boomer Philbrick is the coolest coach name ever
