After all, a four year WWF title reign in the 1980s....if that's not dominance what is?

SOUP

You have 10 first rounders in two years (2003-2004) and nobody wins an award?

That's BS if I ever saw it.

Posted by: Doc Ibis | July 06, 2010 at 06:37 AM

Agree 100%.

SOUP

Tony...the Hulk was mentioned a few times during the process by several different bloggers. I think Solar said that the reason he was left off the list had to do with the "make us proud" part.

UMike

Wouldnt it be a bad thing if SH was on campus? Isnt that tampering?

Sean Spence is a Beast!!!

I stopped caring for Seantrel Henderson before he made his original committment to SC. That NY Times article that detailed how he and his father tackled recruiting turned me off. His father was miffed that Pete Carroll left for Seattle and "didn't give him a call". Seantrel made Randy Shannon wait two hours in his living room while he had his hair done. Randy Shannon must be desperate to wait that out. I'd never wait that long for a recruit, especially if it takes him two hours to do his hair. What kind of man spends that long doing his hair? I just see too much prima donna need for coddling from this kid. This is football--no coddling!

Yeah, you will stop caring when your team's no.1 ranked recruiting class starts crumbling. lol

Sean Spence is a Beast!!!

Rumor's are also swirling that some their current commits are starting to look around, namely Wittek, one of the qb they've got a verbal from, reports are saying he is looking into Oregon.

Because when USC wins the Pac10, the number 2 team goes to Pasadena!

Oregon will be that number 2 team, and maybe even number 1.

Good stuff bg1906!

Also the comments section is pretty cool where U can see who voted and where... I always liked maps.

I just voted for Bosher.

Bailey has a lot of competition at his position in the nation and on his team.

Jacory Harris will be competing with a few other prolific QBs who have more experience in their system. Also need to see if it was injuries or decisions that accounted for his picks last year.

Brandon Harris would be my 2nd choice. With an improved Dline, and improvement on his part he could get more INTs this year and take an award.

I don't know why O Franklin and Marcus Forston are on any type of watch list except for hype. They both can obviously have great years and it will bode well for Miami if they do, but just don't think their past performances merit any type of pre-season hype.

As always, JMO:)

Esteban

yeah if "someone named Harris" was an option that would have been my choice. Ultimately went with Brandon.

CGNC

Nice page bg. I couldn't play the songs though

CGNC.

Did it say pop up blocked? Did you get an error?

orange 'n green in the vein

Terry Boella doesn't get on the list because of the worked nature of his career and because Hiro Matsuda broke a young Boella's ankle the first day of wrestling school, now if the Hulk had no selled, pointed at Matsuda, then followed up with three blocks and a right then a big boot a leg-drop for the 1, 2, 3, he'd be ranked above 100 places higher than Everett.

KnoxCane

Nice work on the web page BG, can't wait for the full Cane review of the game.

Hope I haven't missed it already.

CANES

Captain Optimist aka Cavaleer

Also Lane Kiffin is questioning is work ethics: "It's unfortunate because being a big guy and a lineman, the off-season workout is so critical for this guy," Kiffin said. "When we saw him, he was 355 pounds, so unfortunately for him he's not only missing out on academics but missing out on preparing himself to play."

Monty, SH does have some baggage but I think most of it comes from his dad and I think most of that was because his dad wanted to be in a "program" a la PJ.

The kid himself, I don't know. The fact that he's so pizzed tells me he didn't really want to go to USC in the first place.

All this work ethic stuff is pure speculation, esp. if Kiffen is talking about a kid's "commitment." Besides, SH wouldn't be the first 5-Star recruit to come in and get mashed into shape or spit out.

Bring him down. This train is loaded and rolling. If he can handle it, great. If he can't he'll get in where he fits in.

Shannon will make a man out of him.

DZ8

Seantrel Henderson will end up playing for Memphis. Maybe not at first, but in the end, thats where he'll be.

I have him going to Marshall or Louisville.

As far as the World Cup...

Just watched a beautiful bicycle kick to the face. The ball was simply replaced by the defenders face.

I know most of us here don't like futbol, but I dig it.

Mr Troutman

Yeah TrojanPete that is why Shannon now has the upper hand...HE PATIENTLY WAITED FOR SEANTREL. now he has to wait patiently on him and Miami. What GOES AROUND COMES AROUND..so it is best to do the right thing if not be prepared for the boomerang ( U MAY GET KNOCKED UP ACROSS THE HEAD) to come back because it will. Yeah we needed lineman this year and we did just that so we are cool.

One things for sure all this HARD WORK Shannon has done for THE U will one day pay off. He has worked tiredlessly on getting this program back to form and if it takes sitting in a recruits' living room for two hours meanwhile watching ESPN/messing with the laptop/ or on the phone etc... while waitng on the hair dresser then so be it... AS LONG AS WE DOMINATE NEXT YEAR AND BEYOND I"ll take it!

360Cane

As far as SH...

I thought he was running the bball court in AAU for his "conditioning".

Ah, the good ole days...

How I became a fan of… the EA Sports NCAA Football series

"My first memory of NCAA Football was back in 2001. Play Station 2 was the console of choice, and it was then when it became customary to pick up the new game just before the start of school. Because who actually comes home from a hard day of high school and golf practice, and decides to study before bed? For those that remember the 2001 college football season, the Miami Hurricanes were king, both in real life and as 64-bit football players on NCAA Football 2002. Still one of the most awesome collections of interscholastic athletes, the "U" had enough NFL talent to fill an entire pro team’s draft board and it was a blast to pit their stout defense against the option-centric Nebraska Cornhuskers, led by the dynamic Eric Crouch."

USC releasing recruit Henderson

j.w.

More on Seantrel who is as of this minute officially released:
http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/06/usc-to-release-seantrel-henderson-from-loi/

UMike

USC is releasing offensive tackle recruit Seantrel Henderson from his national letter of intent, coach Lane Kiffin said Tuesday.

Henderson, an incoming freshman and one of the nation's top recruits, signed with USC after initially delaying past national signing day over concerns that the program might face NCAA sanctions. That has since happened.

Henderson also strongly considered Miami, Ohio State and Minnesota during the recruiting process.

Kiffin could have kept Henderson bound to his national letter, requiring him to either report or enroll elsewhere and pay his own way for a year before being eligible in 2011. Instead, Kiffin and USC are essentially allowing Henderson to enroll at any school immediately and be eligible to play as early as this season.

USC is still hopeful that Henderson will decide to enroll at USC.

"We are releasing Seantrel Henderson out of his national letter of intent with zero penalties and no restrictions. Seantrel has been great through the whole process and we wish him the best of luck with his decision," Kiffin said.

USC could have limited the other schools Henderson could pursue, such as eliminating schools within the Pac-10 or schools USC will face in the next few seasons. Instead, Kiffin took the approach that he wanted players on campus who know they want to be Trojans.

Henderson, who is listed at 6-foot-7 and 295 pounds, played for Cretin-Derham High School in Minnesota. Henderson was ranked by ESPN's Scouts Inc. as the top offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 8 player in the ESPNU 150.

Kiffin landed 15 four- and five-star recruits, for the seventh-best class in the nation according to ESPN's Scouts Inc. Joe Schad is a college football reporter for ESPN

ESPN's College Football Live has Miami with the the 2nd toughest NON-Conference schedule in the NATION... only FSU is ahead of us for toughest NON-Conference schedule.

The U getting lots of ESPN "airtime" so far this preseason... they must like the RATINGS we bring them. That 30 for 30 "The U" movie last December for example.

(They hate us, but they love what we can bring them...)
