ARE U READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!
Finally, after months of waiting, the college football season starts again tonight all across the Country as teams both near and far try to live their dreams of winning a National title in 2010.
Tonight at newly re-named Sun Life Stadium your Miami Hurricanes face the FAMU Rattlers in a tune up game for the much anticipated match-up against the Ohio State Buckeys on September 11 in Columbus.
Forget the cliches and sports speak this week because Miami's game against FAMU will be blowout.
The old "take it one game at a time" and "We are only focused on this week's opponent" and "Don't look past FAMU" are nice, cute little slogans and appropriate quotes for the media and team bulletin boards but in all reality this game should be over by halftime.
We will avoid the ever so tedious position by position breakdown and phases of the game comparisons as you already know that Miami is superior in talent at every position and phase of the game.
So let's just get right to it, OK?
Score Prediction: UM 54 - FAMU 10
IT'S GAME DAY FELLAS!!

Catch you guys on the flip side tonight around 7!! Should be fairly comical tonight, but I do think that they slip a TD on us. Are we wearing the new uni's tonight? I sure hope so....LAMO...JK!

One more thing....
I just read a headline: "Where is Hurricane Earl Heading?"
How fitting is this...I pray for those that are affected but really...How fitting is this that a Hurricane is all over the headlines and about to brush the East Coast! At least we know we are making landfall!

Halloween inspired uniforms..we look like that disgusting candy, I think its called candy corn.
The helmet is ok for one game a season though.
The best uniform besides the basic 90's one, is the one from the year that Antrel Rolle was a senior and he garnered Heisman talk from his dominating performance against FSU in the opener.

I'm in Cleveland and have Time Warner as well (boy do I hate this company!) Channelsurfing isn't listing it as a game that they'll be showing tonight. I guess its wqam for us fellas.
Hopefully someone posts some video later tonight.

Canes fans for your information I look for storys in all major print media in central and south florida and the ones who support you Canes are:
Miami Herald
Sun Sentinel
Palm Beach Post
Lakeland Ledger
I could not find a story about the University of Miami or FAMU on Gameday news
from these print media outlets but plenty of UF news and they don't play until saturday. ( Unbelievable )
727- the Times
813- the Tribune
407- the O Sentinel
Think they will have a report when we win the National Championship?
Go Canes!!!

Gaby was great last night but Tracy who came sliding into the fight was my favorite. Just how was sliding going to help? I just love watching those fights in slow mo.
Go Canes and all going to the game have a drink on me! I miss being there so badly :(
Go Canes! (if I find a link to the game I will post it).

Cav might go a little overboard every now and then but this is exactly what he's been talking about. Man up. Let's go. Excuses are for cowards. You came to win something and your time IS running out.
(and for those worried about our top CB leaving after this year. he had an article recently where he said we have two years left, the clock is ticking. nothing is done till its done but i think he'll stay 4 yrs.)

Watching the OSU v. Marshall game at the same time as ESPN3. But not sure yet we really want OSU to struggle? As id rather have them alittle overconfident this week in practice!
Gameday!! Yeah Boi

NativeCane,
Both the Trib and the St.Pete times hardly ever have anything on the `Canes
When they put scores in the papers its always in back sections with a tiny article from the AP
They only care about the Gators and Noles
As for the score: 41-3

According to Mike Bakas….
(Anthony Chikillo) He plans to announce his college commitment Thursday at 9 am.
Expect him to become a Cane tomorrow.
Big time player with a great motor. It would be an excellent pickup for the Canes.
Mike Bakas

I thought his announcement date was next Thursday so we’ll see if Bakas is right.
Then me and CSM can respark our Chikillo conversation that began a few months ago...
LOL!

Gaby runs in FULL speed and absolutely clotheslined the guy across the head and neck and he went STRAIGHT down!
If only Glenn Cook or Daryl Sharpton could have done that while at UM.

Old Skool, that is awesome. I hope that helps Gaby in the Rookie of the Year voting.
After he got ripped off by the ref on his game-winning hit, that was some delayed payback.
