"Sean Spence can babysit my children."- Al Golden

Pretty nice endorsement, wouldn't you think?

Ohio_Cane

Did Golden say that? Lol that's awesome. What a guy.

Just for the record we did do one previous blog about the Lady Canes BB team:

USF, FSU go home from NCAA tourney while UF advances to sweet 16.

NCST and UNC still in it from the ACC.

UM vs FAU baseball Tuesday in Boca Raton:

FAU Stadium features AAA baseball lighting and is known as the best playing surface in South Florida and in 2008 hosted the largest crowd in the history of the ballpark when over 2,300 fans watched FAU play No. 1 Miami. FAU fans enjoy the beach/picnic atmosphere along the foul lines where beach chairs, coolers and family fun are a staple.

Ohio_Cane

My alma mater going to States in Bball, if anyone cares. Lol

They play at Ohio State's court. Gotta be awesome for them. As much as I hate OSU, these kids don't, and will be an incredible place to play

Fans that attend the men’s basketball second round NIT game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers are encouraged to hang around the BankUnited Center afterward to watch the women’s basketball team as it attempts to secure its first ever Sweet 16 appearance.

The men’s basketball team’s second round NIT game tips off at 9 p.m. , inside the BankUnited Center. Tickets start at just $10 and top out at $25.

Approximately 40 minutes after Coach Larranaga’s team begins, the women’s basketball team will battle No. 11-seed Gonzaga on its home court in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The No. 3-seed Canes started the tourney with a 70-41 win over No. 14-seed Idaho State on Saturday.

After the men’s game concludes, fans will be invited into the H100 Room to cheer on head coach Katie Meier, All-American Shenise Johnson and the entire women’s basketball team on what could be a historic night.

For more information on tickets call 1-800-GoCanes.

86, that's the game ESPN pre-filled for Obama when he did his women's bracket. They had the Lady Canes losing to Gonzaga.

Ohio_Cane

Peyton Manning to Denver. Wow

j.w.

And the Phins keep flailing while looking for a QB. I think I'm officially done with them, especially since the idiot Ross is going to go gaga for Tebow so he can sell tickets. Screw them, go Raiders.

Ohio_Cane

I like your style, JW. Been a Raiders fan since I was 5.

Also, hearing serious Tebow trade talks will now start. Don't be surprised if he ends up a Dolphin. Though I think they'll draft Tannehill.

The phins have been dead to me for a hot minute already, bringing in Saint Timmy would make it permanent.

Lol, I remember. Man, if I were a Phin fan, I'd be sick to my stomach just thinking about that possibility.

I'll say this for all Phin fans, similar to LB's campaign for Ryan Williams....

Al Golden: "This is the first time we've had a "break" since I've been here. We had every player back on time, everybody was where they needed to be, nobody missed study hall last night, on time for breakfast this morning, and that hasn't happened since I've been here"

Love it.

Ohio_Cane

Hearing now that Jaguars are first in line for Tebow. Makes sense

j.w.

Good luck, Jags is all I can say. :) That is great news from Golden Al about our Canes, glad to see the hard evidence of them buying into what he is selling.

That would be a perfect fit.

Please don't do it Dolphins, PLEASE!

I love the fact that Miami, ranked #8, has to play unranked Gonzaga on Gonzaga's home floor...in Spokane. WA.

Whats going on people?

hurricanes got that scrimmage this weekend can't wait to hear good things.

Any word from the skreetz on the boyz?

LB

Peyton to the Broncos! I can officially watch the NFL again since Elway retired.

HurricaneMan'

The Dolphins blew what was the easiest off-season and most critical in the league.

They thought they had a chance at Peyton and slow played everybody else then got ROYALLy F***KED...... Without lip-stick.

I can't believe the incompetent management we have.

I assure you Matt Moore is not the answer. The team should have grown a pair and went after RG3 like Washington or made Flynn the priority. Manning was a stop-gap pipe dream that just screwed this franchise over for at least another 2 years....

I'll always be a Dolphins fan but this is just getting old.

I'm tired of this franchise being looked at as the laughing stock of the entire league. Because, even Cleveland who got left at the alter as well, has the the 4th pick and can reach for Tannehill and provide their franchise with some short term excitement. We have nothing now, and are going to have to rely on Gerrard/Moore and draft some kid later in the draft probably Cousins/Weeben in the 2nd/3rd round and there is no guarantee we even get them.

Ireland needs to be replaced immediately...

Nothing happening with players on Spring Break and just getting back on campus yesterday. I am sure we will hear some juice later this week and after the first scrimmage.

I am not going to the scrimmage in Miami but am going to the one on 3/30 in Fort Myers. The team will be futher along in practice, Gray Crow will be named the starter at QB and there will be better access to the players in Fort Myers than in Miami.

Why do you want to get rid of Ireland? Did did you have a bad St. Patrick's Day?

Who is gonna replace him, Ron Mexico? At least Cinco de Mayo will be more fun!

LOL

86Cane

Hassan...I have no idea, I'm just messin with Six.

TheWhat

I'm not a bronco fan. But the ghost of tebow (when hes traded) and josh mcdaniels might haunt them for a long time.
The problem started when Tebow started getting those artificial wins last year. The broncos werent as good as their final record was. Had Fox not been forced to start Tebow. Denver would have probably went 2-14 and able to draft either Luck or RG III. Due to Tebow starting and managing to pull out so many victories, the Broncos had to settle on a short term fix by getting Manning. Once Manning is done with football, Denver is going to be screwed on the QB front for many years to come.

In the end, the broncos had to sacrifice the long term for short term gain, Tebow will never be a quality QB in the NFL and Manning will make it to the playoffs but I doubt another superbowl (though I would like to see him win one more).

Can that be vaulted even though its not about the canes?

HurricaneMan'

Who should replace Ireland?? Probably 40 GM's or assistant GM's in the league right now.

Look at our current draft record, look at how we have done with free agents the last few years.

Look how we were left at the alter standing with our skirts lifted up, after the biggest QB off-season frenzy in recent years...

Look how this Dolphins franchise has turned not only into one of the least important franchises in Miami (See the Miami Heat, Hurricanes, and the new Miami Marlins), then realize how much farther they have fallen in the NFL community..

Experts, journalists, and fans alike are laughing at Miami worse than the damned Cinicnnati Bengals.. We're a joke to the league right now.

Unless we make a management change, the game only continues.

Alex Smith just used us like a dirty stepping stone after the Manning debacle to get him another 1-2 million a year and a few more guaranteed from the 49'ers..

HurricaneMan'

And I'm not hating on Manning, he made the best decision if he sticks with Denver.

Great city, great environment for his family, and great fans!

Then he has the team in the playoffs with the worst QB. Automatic upgrade.

He gets a team with an unlimited amount of ability to sign potential free agents. A max amount of a cap space.

He will control the offense.

The defense is playoff quality already.

He was never coming to Miami.. Everybody bit on the fact that he had a vacation home in South Florida.. Geez.. The majority of people who vacation in South Florida would never want to live here.

Tebow To Dolphins Next?

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Now that the Miami Dolphins have moved on from Peyton Manning and lost out on free agent quarterback Matt Flynn, there’s another name that continues to percolate just below the surface who could be a major draw for Miami.

Tim Tebow.

Now that Manning has chosen to negotiate a new contract and play for the Broncos, Tebow is now available and the Fins need a draw like Tebowmania, regardless of the play on the field.

As profootballtalk.com wrote Friday morning, if the Fins lost out on both Manning and Flynn, “the only way owner Stephen Ross can make a big splash in the short term would be to put his trust in Tebow.”

The only problem is Tebow has proven time and time again in the NFL that he has trouble throwing the football with precision and/or timing. New Fins head coach Joe Philbin’s West Coast offense depends on both precise and perfectly timed throws, neither of which Tebow can do on a consistent basis.

For example, in 2011, Tebow completed just 46.5 percent of his passes, which was the worst amongst all NFL starting quarterbacks. The next worse was St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford.

There’s also a problem with Tebow’s salary going forward.

According to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, Tebow is owed $1.1 million in base salary in 2012. That number is extremely manageable for the Dolphins, who are up against the salary cap.

But in 2013, Tebow’s base salary jumps to $5.48 million and in 2013 it rises all the way to $7.145 million.

That means in order to get traded, a new team would likely have to restructure Tebow’s contract, which Tebow would have to agree to as well. http://miami.cbslocal.com/2012/03/19/tebow-to-dolphins-next/

lol

Old Skool

Ahh a fitting revenge for honoring FU's 2009 team. May Mike Dee and Tim Tebow climb in to bed together and either rot or find rapture.

Ohio_Cane

Canes men getting stomped early. 10-0 with 15 left in 1st half. Not one player on the floor showed up. Except Coach L, he's furious and has called 2 TO's already
