The King! MVP

Bosch good game.

The Heat in the NBA final. Great!!!

mi@mic@ne

HEAT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mi@mic@ne

If Bosh would have been healthy from the start it wouldnt have gone to seven.

Montreal-Cane

Bosh

Rondo and Garnett no hand shakes...A bunch of pu.....

Lebron a class act.

Montreal-Cane

The Devils are still alive!

Montreal-Cane

Brodeur the best ever.

j.w.

Celts went down with their gunz blazing, nothing wrong with that. I wish every team played as hard as both the Celts and Heat did tonight, wouldn't that be great? FWIW, I'm picking OKC in 7 (too much Durant for the Heat). But I wouldn't bet more than $10 on that.

The What

If Miami plays with urgency they will win in 6. My prediction Miami in 7. What a game though.

pre83

Yes, more hockey! Devils not dead yet (is that oxymoronic?)

I am not sure what it is, but the Kings aren't capitalizing on their chances. Brown had two I recall and Richards had a GREAT chance in the last seconds with Quick pulled. But that's the way the puck bounces and I don't mean to take anything away from the Devil's play.

Marty was lights out. Not that Quick wasn't terrific. Give me at least one more, NJ!

I know alot of people don't care for James....but that guy played his ass off this series.

The matchup between good guy (Durant) and bad guy (James) is going to be real good...

raizecane

In a remarkable (and controversial) split decision Saturday night, Timothy Bradley Jr. scored a victory over Manny Pacquiao to claim Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title....wow

CEO, spectacular shirts and great idea with the black shirts. I'll be hitting you up for the white tee. Gotta get on my game for the black tee!

CEO - you missed a great game 7 by the Heat. To tell you the truth I was flipping back and forth between the Stanley Cup Finals and that game. Both were really good.

That second goal NJ scored was flukey - it went off the Kings guy but those happen. I think they win it in LA. The Devils have done a good job on Dustin Brown, either that, or he is injured

You got to love it ... this is what its all about... time for Miami to be the sports mecca it once was... the Heat will start it off and the Canes will continue the tradition.

CGNC

Nice shirts BTW

LOL I know. Not sure why they don't like him. Part of it is the media overkill with certain players. If they are not on your team people get tired of hearing about them. Oh well, haters gonna hate....

CoCane

True ^^^^

CEO

CGNC...I really did NOT watch the game but did see the late news and highlights. I would have died around the beginning of the forth quarter with the Heat still trailing as they apparently did most of the night? From the highlights it seems that Miami took the lead with about 5 minutes to go and then extended their lead at the end of the game.

I am happy theu won and now that they are in the Finals I can start watching again! It NEVER should have gone to 7 games that is what had me upset. How do U lose three games in a row to an aging Boston team and expect to be called the best in the NBA?

It's the Sidney Crosby syndrome with how much media there is nowadays. Only Sid can say he has a ring. Hopefully in a couple weeks Lebron can do the same to quiet them some.

Ohio_Cane

CEO, it was actually back and forth most of the 4th quarter. Heat up 2, Boston up 1, Heat up 1, Boston up 1, etc

Texascane

I will try and get on the broadcast on Tuesday night with my Canespace shirt ..can't wait for the series to start.

mi@mic@ne

The Heat struggled without Bosh. And it bit them in the butt because James and Wade were carrying them into the Boston series. So they were tired going into Boston when they dropped the 2 games.

The bench was inconsistent. They did not take advantage of hitting the open shots. But when Bosh came back it secured the middle and gave their d a chance to cut off the passing lanes. No more alioops for easy dunks.

Boston was doubling Wade so they had other options in the 4th by putting Bosh in the corner with James taking the lane. So they played two on two with Bosh and James and that sealed the deal. At the end the talent of the Heat overwhelmed Boston. The Heat completely shut them down on d , bosh and james broke their backs by those long three pointers.

CEO - I'm wondering if someday we will be clamoring for the old Canespace shirts? You know, much like the desire by many for the Canes to sport their old uni's in favor of the current ones.

I keeed - great job on the new shirts! I will be saving my old shirt for the CSHOF archives: )

OGV - Is it me, or why every time I see Deboer during a press conf do I think of Cousin Eddy?

j.w.

Terrible news out of AUburn- two former players shot and killed, and a current one shot and wounded. As best as I can tell, it was an argument over a young woman (not sure if it was someone's girlfriend or not).

Randy Duke Johnson may be "small," but he will be a star at UM. I saw him recently and was surprised that he looks bigger and has been working out. I also know from watching him play that he has the ability to make big plays, he plays his best when the chips are down and he is coming out of a HS football program that requires a toughness. Duke has old school Cane written all over him.

Duke will surprise a lot of people, and he will be that big play threat("Dash") out of the backfield.

I think Mike James("Smash") will start and have a good season, but Duke will provide those explosive plays that will make a difference.

86----where do we send our money? I think that everyone should send 86 a check for $20, even those on the "special list" We need all of us to help financially to keep the site going and 86 has spent too much of his own money. So, ante up everyone, whatever list you are on.

I put my real name down, not my Canespace name. Sorry about that.

Badass Black shirt and just the shirts in general

I'll meet up with you somewhere 86 down the line if you're ever over this way and get the tab for lunch, just a miniscule gesture of gratitude for the site/shirt/everything else

**IF YOU DON'T LIKE BASEBALL, THEN SCROLL ON BY THE FOLLOWING**

On another note - Rays rolled down into the Marlins new crib the past two days and laid it on them .. looking for the sweep today .. so far have outscored the Marlins 22-5

The lineup the Rays are rolling out there 1-8, esp. without their star player in Longoria, shows exactly what "next man up" or "find a way" means

1st place in the AL East and the best winning % in the entire AL with that group of guys?

My guy BJ Upton, Zobrist, Joyce aren't exactly jabronis - but it helps when Longo is in the lineup with them. Dez Jennings was injured for a few weeks, but is now back in the lineup. Pena is hot/cold, wayyy too many strikeouts and defenses play a shift against him b/c he can't hit opposite field.

They had to go awaken Godzilla (Hideki Matsui) from the depths of Free Agency during the season

- Luke Scott has hamstring problems
- Jeff Niemann is injured (60 day DL, fractured right fibula)
- Jeff Keppinger is injured (broken toe), the FA they brought in during the off-season b/c of his bat against lefties
- Kyle Farnsworth the regular closer is injured (60 day DL) and didn't even start the season
- Back up catcher Robinson Chirinos has a concussion (60 day DL)

Elliot Johnson. Drew Sutton. Will Rhymes. WHO? are having to fill in at the various infield positions b/c of Longo being out - and with those guys as your middle infielders ... that's not good

With Longo being out as well, the errors have gone up due to people playing out of position or people who generally aren't even in the lineup are now playing as starters

So far this year, the Rays are 28th in MLB in Fielding % and 3rd worst in Errors (51)

Rays mantra since Maddon took over is pitching, defense, aggressive on the bases

2012 - 51 errors so far and it's only June
2011 - 73 errors total for the year
2010 - 85 errors total for the year
2009 - 98 errors total for the year
2008 - 90 errors total for the year

2012 - .977 Fielding % (tied 13th MLB)
2011 - .988 Fielding % (1st MLB)
2010 - .986 Fielding % (3rd MLB)
2009 - .983 Fielding % (6th MLB)
2008 - .985 Fielding % (3rd MLB)

Stolen base department

2012 - 47 so far (tied 3rd MLB)
2011 - 155 (2nd MLB, 1st AL)
2010 - 172 (1st MLB)
2009 - 194 (1st MLB)
2008 - 142 (1st MLB)

Rays #3 starter is a 2nd year player (although he won ROY last year) in Hellboy. Their #4 and #5 starters are rookies - Matt Moore and Alex Cobb

But they're still finding ways to win

Uh, Coach Morris, you paying attention?

eht ehm....I had 2 1st in a row....but I am still willing to pay for my shirts if need be its not a big deal like I said I enjoy this site and appreciate all U guys do as a collective whole..

Artie Burns goes from being the # 8 cb in the country to # 18 cb, which is a clear indication that he is UM's to lose. That explains why Golden & co layed off Hargreaves & Alexander boyz, I hope

MaryLou...I emailed you my mailing adress yesterday in response to your email to me about the shirt.

It would be nice IF everyone donated something to get a shirt but as long as MOST do at $20 or $10 we will be fine. like I said I'm not looking to make money just break even.
