Skreetz says to quit worry about DL & OL, it's done with. I know we going to sign some goons to play the positions but we need some playas not space takas! I'm tired of seeing us not gettin to D QB and also guttin us the middle on runs. Just sayin!

Al is waiting to see what Estime does during his senior season before he offers him......

Ohio I saw that. What that says is the captain is committed to the TEAM by taking less money for longer time. We'll see if Parise is interested in doing that with the Devils come Sunday.

Ohio...at this point I think any of us on here would settle for just the .4 million in Crosby's contract? LOL

Nope. THe fans shouldn't care more than the players and that's been the culture which AG is trying to change

Swami you got that right. Elite athletes can make and eat those "money sandwiches" lol!

CGNC where do u think TIM Thomas is gonna end up? I think its a mistake for the bruins to give him up.

And there it is right there.
I would add, that the fan shouldn't care more than the players AND the COACHES, which is exactly what went on during the two previous regimes.
NO amount of fanaticism could overcome that.

For those that care about the Heat, and were hoping Steve Nash would come to Miami, it doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

"Nash is expected to be courted by the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors and Dallas Mavericks, league sources said."

GOV and everybody,

What me and RCCF are trying to say is, if a player on the team was to say "I think we'll go 8-4 this season", how would you as a fan feel about that player??? Would you say he's just being realistic??? Exactly so as fans how is it realistic to predict a lose when every game we have a 50/50 chance and ANYTHING could happen in any game????

"THE MIAMI HURRICANES WILL RETURN 2 NATIONAL PROMINENCE B4 FSU & UF BECAUSE....."

Well, the Gators are already at that level due to titles in 2006 & 2008 as well as a 13 win season and a divisional title in 2009. Not to mention a certain Heisman winner and terrible NFL quarterback. They are currently on a downtrend, but it's unclear if it shall last. But they are clearly a top 10 program regardless. As big a jackhole as Muschamp is, the program gets its due.

FSU is a different beast. They won a divisional title in 2010 (with 4 losses), but that's pretty much it. The last time they won the conference was in 2005, but did so with 5 losses... pathetic. In fact, they haven't had a 2 loss or less season since 2000.

However, FSU does put UM to shame in recent bowl games... winning the last 4 years while we've sucked big monkeys since 2006.

Yet in BCS bowl games, FSU is a roaring 1-5. UM? 3-1. FSU's last BCS bowl win? 2000. UM's? 2004.

While FSU has had the better record and team recently, they are nowhere near nationally relevant. It takes at least a conference title for that. I think FSU's window is now, and UM's is close. I'm not sure who wins the conference title first. At all.

Honing in on EPIC FAILS:

If FSU loses more than two games this year, they best give up college football. That schedule makes me want to vomit.

Not only do they play Best Buy Junior College and Yee Haw Southern in consecutive weeks at home, but they don't even play a road game until week 5... at South Florida. They have superior talent than Wake (home), Clemson (home), NC State, BC (home), Duke (home), and Maryland. They get Florida with an unproven QB and a program in major transition.

That leaves VT and UM.

Going anything less than 10-2 in the regular season is a legendary EPIC FAIL for FSU. Look at that schedule, and try to finish your dinner. Who made that freaking schedule, Santa Claus? Good grief.

Johnson recently participated in the Amar’e Stoudemire Skills Academy at the Attack Athletics facility in Chicago, Ill. June 21-23. He checked in at 6-foot-9 and 329 pounds with a 7-1.5-inch wingspan

This kid is eating himself out of a career, he is 6-9, if he was 7-1 maybe he could get away with 300+ but right now he is a less talented Oliver Miller. Last season big Reg played BELOW the rim, at a C you need to play above the rim and you need to be able to rebound out of your space, This kid could play in the NBA if he was about 280 like the Ohio state kid. That is 50 lbs of fat he needs to lose and I am sure he will move better and jump higher once he loses it and strengthens his body.

LB...I gotta say for one of the "newbies" around here (last year or so) I love your comments on the blog. Blog on!

Hassan...It appears that Big Reg keeps getting BIGGER and that he may turn out to be a Charles Barkley type P/F rather than a Center in the NBA.

yeah those measurements are bad, the Height is WITH SHOES lol and weight is without. SO he is really a 6'8 guy at 329 lbs. Meanwhile he is listed 2 inches taller and 45 lbs lighter.

Here is a name for you Mamadou N'Diaye, this guy is in HS he measured 7'4 and 297 lbs with a 8'1 wignspan. This is the biggest kid I have ever seen.

CGNC

SLing - I have no idea. I guess it has to do with why he is sitting out this next season?

WURD UP!

1. Your boi Pork Chop gotz me hittin up sh$# he gets from your Space peoples. Yo if I get names wrong its on me cause im bad with that lol

2. To that herb ibis pimp. Very few DL ballahs come in with technique on point. They just told in HS to go get the QB and thats it. Yah a few have come to a college bein a straight ballah. Even as good as TChick balled he still gotz alot to learn. These DL boiz have come quite a wayz since last year. Question is on Jethro, if he can get these boiz to be better then they think they can.

3. Many times last season the DL did what was asked in the playcall, its the LBs that f d up alot of sh$# just takin bad angles or no f n angles at all. Theres a reason Cain is moved to DE lol. Best to just say to boi, go to this spot and dont freelance cause he sucks at it.

4. When watchin Art and Jethro go word for word beefin is more intense then eyein some of them OL and DL boiz last year, it aint a good sign.

j.w.

Good stuff, all day long, swami and everyone else.

"4. When this boi sayin 4 win O I aint meanin thats all Miami goin to win. Im sayin the O has a very long way to go before the playbook getz opened up. Fisch wants that quick route flowin O with solid runnin game and occasional deepz. Thats a Ryan type O but boi cant have his apple bag shrinkin when pressure is on. Morris needs to tighten up his snap throws and quit puttin the head down and tuck and run. Keep them eyez downfield cause boiz are open.

Posted by: Swami for CEO | June 28, 2012 at 12:17 PM"

Sounds like Morris has no idea still where the routes are going in a lot of given plays and thinks he's a much more athletic runner than he actually looks like he is to me. Also sounds like a bad QB at this point even if he his talking louder in the huddle, Kenny Kelly with less of a high school pedigree.

Willie, just after the 2002 Rose Bowl I saw Sherko and Joaquin at the bar I worked at and called Joaquin over to congratulate him, tell him I was a student at UM, tell him how proud everybody on campus was of the team and how much a pleasure it was to watch them set the standard over the course of their season by which all others were going to be judged. Then I asked him what he thought was going to go down next year, he gave me an honest assessment of UF was going to be screwed with Spurrier in the NFL so that game was in the bag, everybody was going to take their best shot but UM had it handled and the only question in his mind was on the road against Tennessee as they were the only team he could see causing them problems. Now Joaquin's five years to play four were up by then but are you going to tell me that him questioning his old teams ability to run the table the next year was unacceptable? That's a laughable assertion IMO.

Hassan

These are his measurements from the NBA predraft a couple of years ago

Height w/o Shoes Height w/shoes Weight Wingspan Standing Reach Body Fat No Step Vert Max Vert Bench Press Lane Agility 3/4 Court Sprint Class Rank
6' 8.5" 6' 10" 307 7' 2.5" 9' 1" 22.4 23.0 25.5 NA 9.95 4.42 NA

So he has gained 22 lbs in 2 years after he was told that his weight was one of the main reasons why he would not be drafted high. He was given the feedback two years ago. This young man has to work EXTRA hard just to lose the 22 lbs he has gained and get back to where he was 2 years ago.

It's all about the tailgating.....

Swami for CEO

Big Reg at 22.4% body fat? Shoot I think he's got me beat by about 2.4%. But I think I got him in the vertical jump (25" for a BB player are U kidding me?)!

Plus with a couple more hours to tailgate this year means even more brats, sausages and greasy, cheesy burgers. Now where did I put that family size bag of Doritos and queso dip...

orange 'n green in the vein

I'm lucky there's exactly two home games right now I'm interested in going to see this year so I only need to lose a preemptive five or so pounds right now before late October when I'll gain it all back, although if they get off to a good start . . . better make it 10 more just to be safe.

OGV,

Yes. He didn't think they would lose while he was on the team. A lot of times former players hate on current players because they don't want nobody to say that the current players are better than the former players. Name me a current player or coach on any team in the country predicting loses???? Everybody believes they'll run the table, even teams like Maryland

What y'all call being realistic I call telling the future, and nobody knows the future. For all we know every starting qb on every team we play could be injured or suspended. My point is, every game is 50/50 and ANYTHING can happen so I Da U is yo team why would you already pick them to lose before the game even starts. What's the purpose of playing hard games if you think you'll lose anyways. Why are games played???!?
