solarcane

nice keoki how are you?

solarcane

We all know that it is only a matter of time before fan favorite Gray Crow is named the starting QB at UM

lmao well done soup!

SJMPARMAN

Good article. I like the 8-4 prediction better than the 4-8 prediction. I think this team may surprise and do very well. No I am not predicting 12-0 but 8 or 9 wins would not surprise me. 4-8 would definitely surprise and disappoint me.

86Cane

HOLY COW, A KEOKI SIGHTING!!!

solarcane

this ll world series game is crazy entertaining,

Keoki

Great Solar! It's awsome U are back!
I'm ready for the BC beatdown and will be at Notre Douche and FSWho this year.

My UM football weenie is throbbing, GO CANES!

86Cane

Apologize for being "late" on the article but Mrs. 86 and I were having some Margaritas and Fajitas (in that order) and the postin got delayed. Now, where did I put that damn shaker of salt? LOL

Did I miss anything other than the brief troll sighting on the last blog?

86Cane

Keoki and Solar on the blog at the same time?

It feels so 2007 up in here!

solarcane

I love being able to sqeeze a couple hours a week into hangin with the space family again. I can't be here as much as the old days but I'm reading more each day.

Yeah, ND went 3-9 and we beat FSU in '07

Tsully76

Great stuff 86. Great stuff from Ferman. 8-4 sounds about right My hope is that our Canes can at least win the ACC Coastal, perhaps the ACC, and their bowl game.

BigWIndyCane-Forecast1

When it comes to the LOF picks and the record prediction, I agree with and respecd almost everything Gary Ferman said.

I didn't agree with anything that Brandon Adoi said.

I don't think I feel this way just because I am a die hard Canes fan. I genuinely believe that Golden is running a great program and he has developed some very good players.

After this weekend, the college football world will begin to see how far Golden has taken this program.

86Cane

BigWindy...In a way I'm glad that Odoi went first with his 4-8 prediction just to get that bad taste in our mouths outta the way. That prediction prolly JOLTED many here back into reality.

If you look at all of the "experts" and their predictions Ferman is prolly being a little optimistic at 8-4 although many here feelk that's about right.

For the record CGNC and I are sticking with our 9-3 predictions until we are right regardless of how long that may take. LOL

solarcane

man you been going 9-3 as long as Randy has been playing chess while everybody else is playing checkers

86Cane

Solar...LMAO! That is an old Cavaleer quote. I think he switched to backgammon?

BEERicane

Alfred is incorrect.

BEERicane

Clue: has relevance to the U.

elliott

Has anyone on any blog ever corrected anyone's grammar or spelling on a blob in the last ten years or so?

No, and who is the idiot that thinks Miami will go 4-8? Dude put the kush down it is way too strong for U.....

elliott

Trust the coaching staff people we are starting to build consistency...

86Cane

Sebastian

86Cane

If I owe U a Canespace T-shirt please email me at: canespace86@aol.com.

WillieWill and 3G I got you guys all set for a Friday mailing. Solar U will get yours when I see U for the UNC game.

raizecane

I remeber the first time I met keoki......it was at the Miami vs Florida game in Trashville and they were in this beat up mini tour bus that I was surprised would even start.

Never-the-less, they welcomed me with open arms and provided me with beverages. Glad to see him back on the blog.

86Cane

Raize...those were the days, weren't they? That was Keoki and Aqua on the tour bus and those guys were always "equipped" with all the supplies U ever needed. (wink, nod)

j.w.

Thanks for the article, 86 and Gary.

raizecane

86 - great days indeed.......I forgot about Aqua.

86Cane

The line-up this week for FIVE questions:

1. Brandon Odoi, CaneInsider
2. Gary Ferman, Canesport
3. Michael Casagrande, Sun-Sentinel
4. Chris Whittyngham, WVUM
5. Susan Degnan-Miller, Miami Herald

And to think that U guys don't even pay for this stuff!

solarcane

top seven reasons we will be National Champs before Gas hits to 4.00 a gallon

7 Kyle Wright,

Better suited for Tractor Supply ads

6 Bryce Brown,

Best highschool running back in a decade, holds two major programs for ransom then hooks up with his brother at a third school, amasses a staggering 476 yds in college football.

5 the MNW posse,

includes the greatest future HOF Miami receiver Lamar Thomas and Andre Johnson had ever seen, turn out to be really good high school players that didn't realize kids in college never heard of them

4 Jacory Harris,

can't miss Heisman winner by his soph year, turns out to be all around nice guy with gently used purple suit gathering dust in his closet

3 Smash and Dash, the absolute 1 2 punch that could overcome any amount of interceptions a qb could throw in a game, Lamar decides a dash for cash while you still got wheels is part of his process.

2 Art Kehoe, The heart and soul of Cane football past will single handedly drive the mighty Canes to the NC, turns out old guys in floppy hats screaming their azz off can't run into the game and remind guys to block.

1 Al Golden, Gas is about $ 3.75 right now

orange 'n green in the vein

Canespace Ring of Honor worthy lol material there solar.

Man, I love that Ferman pushes Morris as the more worthy starter last year then proceeds to damn him with the faintest of praise, "well once you get past the fact he had problems getting the play in from the sideline." WTF? That's like the first important thing a QB has to do and it's the easiest part of the job Gary!

"He could have thrown for a country mile's worth of yards in that game if the game-plan wasn't so conservative." Uh, Gary, he completed 19 passes against the worst FBS opponent on the schedule and didn't break 200 yards in the air thanks in part to the last INT TD return with the game on the line, Harris surpassed that game yardage total with less completions two times against FBS competition and led victories against two ranked teams the other two times he didn't reach that number of completions and didn't surpass that yardage total. But Morris is fantastic otherwise.

:/

I wish you had asked Ferman if Al would deserve a lifetime extension if he finishes 8-5 this year, that would have been freaking hilarious no matter what the answer was.

WWIN

OGV,

When morris threw that first pick that streeter didn't fight for with the game on the line? What was he suppose to do not throw it and take a sack on 4th down????

CoCane

^^^ Don't forget if Streeter didn't run a half azzed route he wouldn't have had to fight for the ball & it would've been an easy 1st down...

Old Skool

Some great lines there Solar. Kyle and tractor supply ads is particularly inspired

Gary Ferman

Agree on the communication but you blaming all of that on Morris?

86Cane

Gary...just ignore OGV, he's the resident pessimist and enjoys complaining more than eating a platefull of freshly harvested Florida Bay scallops prepared scampi over linguini. No matter what U said he find a way to poke holes in it.

MORRIS IS THE MAN IN 2012!

Blog on...

LB

I think Casagrande is quickly jumping to the top of the list for UM news. That cat is one complete customer...

...and that's excellent news for Canes fans.

So, does Bethune Cookman end up on ESPN3?

Hurricane Andrew revisited:

Tropical Storm Isaac continues to move westward near the Caribbean Sea, although the storm became slightly weaker overnight.

Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft finds Tropical Storm Isaac slightly weaker and farther south.

According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Juli Marquez, long-range models have the system near Florida by Monday of next week. Although the chances the storm will hit the Tampa Bay area still remain low, the prospect of a major storm arriving the same week as the Republican National Convention is creating some anxiety.

The center of Tropical Storm Isaac is located near latitude 15.4N 64.8W; About 225 miles SSE of San Juan; 315 miles ESE of Dominican Republic

That was BOTH of their faults, you NEVER throw a hitch into a hard corner. That hitch route, should've been converted to a fade route.

Ohio_Cane

As 86 said before, and as I've thought to myself since Cassagrande started, he's been tearing it up since day 1.

Really like this guy.

And he's on deck for tonight at 9 PM.

Different questions for him in his first year covering UM coming from Alabama and SEC country.

Ohio_Cane

86, Hurricane Sports just posted this on twitter - "All new #RaisingCanes episode set to debut today/tomorrow. If you want special sneak peek, take photo of your season tix and we'll DM link."

If U have your season tix and wanna see it, feel free.

Old Skool

I had to cover Andrew for a client, so I was on the scene a couple days after. Beyond all the homes destroyed, the single image that still sticks in my mind was the 2 x 4 with the square end that was picked up and blown through the middle of a thick tree trunk. It hung there 20 feet off the ground stuck tight with both ends protruding like a spear through a fish.

Papa Cane - Recruiting Update: 2013 TE/OL Nate Wozniak, 6'8' and 260 lbs, continues to be recruited by UM and Coach Kehoe. Future OL in my opinion.

CEO, ask Gary why Standish Dobbard got dropped 2 a 3 star when he's supposedly 1 of the top prospects in the state of Louisiana?

Old Skool

Soup That's the tree. Fortunately, I missed the horse impaled on a light pole.
