Thank you for your supportive words the other day on twitter

Lets Go `Canes

CoCane

Dam... Porter was my defensive LOF. Hopefully he has a quick recovery...

My gut tells me Morris will break out & the Wr's will overachieve ( IF Hurns stays healthy).

The o-line will be better. Flowers is doing his thang but don't get it twisted. Seantrel returns as 3rd string, after barely practicing this fall? Hmm... SH will play a lot against BC & start against K-State...

Te's improve moderately. Decent 1-2 punch with Cleveland & Walfford.

Rb's- James = workhoarse, Clements = Steady & Duke= big plays

Thanks Solar. No I'm still looking for easy street on the map. Supposedly I'm close but, sometimes you can't believe what you hear when you ask for directions.

Despite not being an birdwatcher, I'm still certain that's an eagle circling overhead and not a buzzard.

Solar

Looking forward to seeing you at the UNC game.

I hear Soup's bringing lobster for the tailgate.

Willie, LMFAO at using veteran QB and Jitters in the same sentence. That was why he sucked so bad, he needed development and never got any because Turf Face couldn't engineer a blowout to save his @$$ so he never got the mop up time he needed to settle down and get used to the game at the next level until it was way too late to polish what little natural athleticism he did have into something serviceable.

I'm not saying these are my reasons, I'm answering your query why these teams are considered better, these seem to be the general consensus about why these teams will be when the games are played. UVA has won 3 of the last 5, they're at home. BC isn't a chalk up win anymore for UM, and the rest of the QB's are going to torch D'No's 2/3rd's completion percentage scheme for career days.

Since you ask, I feel that I'd feel a lot better about McGee playing if he had been playing press man all his first year of starting in '11. Since the defensive scheme is now walk back from the LOS four yards before the snap to concede the easy pass to the short flats and then try and make the tackle, he didn't take his lumps so he probably still won't be able to cover this year either. MAC defense, it's . . . something, alright.

Commas and periods are free. Trust me, you won't be charged. There's no extra charge for breaking up run-on sentences into smaller ones, thereby making your writing actually understandable.

Here you go:

That was why he sucked so bad, he needed development and never got any, because Turf Face couldn't engineer a blowout to save his @$$. He never got the mop up time he needed to settle down. Without this time, he couldn't get used to the game at the next level. When he finally got used to the next level, it was way too late to polish what little natural athleticism he did have into something serviceable.

See what I mean? Now you can actually be understood. I apologize if you have some kind of learning disability that doesn't allow you to write in a coherent fashion. I just can't imagine that you ever submitted a paper writing like that, without your professor actually cuffing your ear.

In the infamous words of Manny Navarro;

Eat me.

You should be apologizing for not adding anything to the discussion at hand. Where would you put commas in this post? It's rhetorical, don't bother, really, don't.

I haven't really been reading the blob as much as I did when I monitored here.
Is canez99 just another lonesome guy looking for some screen time?

Has anyone on any blog ever corrected anyone's grammar or spelling on a blob in the last ten years or so?

BEERicane

No one can explain why a 2008 Miami Hurricane team laden with freshmen and led by a freshman quarterback was predicted to go 7-5, while the 2012 Miami Hurrican laden with freshmen and led by a junior quarterback is predicted to go 4-8.

TonyCane

Some typos on previous post. What I meant to write was:

No one can explain why a 2008 Miami Hurricane team that was laden with freshmen and led by a freshman quarterback was predicted to go 7-5, while a 2012 Miami Hurricane team that is laden with freshmen and led by a junior quarterback is predicted to go 4-8.

BEERicane

No one can explain why a landlubbing, landlocked Colorado jokester (William Gray) makes an ass of himself annually with his hurricane season "predictions", nor why the media publicizes such buffoonery. Hell, he is not only inaccurate with his initial forecast, he is inaccurate with his "updates" after August. I get such a good laugh out of a guy who has probably never seen/experienced a hurricane in his life.

solarcane

"laden with freshmen and led by a freshman quarterback"

all from the national champion high school football team. That had a lot to do with it.
no one realized their college hc was lazy and their oc was a hardheaded egoist.

j.w.

Well stated, Solar.

TonyCane

True. But does having a team partially populated by the #3 recruiting class in the country mean that the 2008 Canes are that much better than the current version, comprised of players from the #10 recruiting class?

I think people are being overly pessimistic or underestimating the 2012 Canes, based on the experiences of the last five years.

solarcane

Watching the Ohio State practice feature you realize how just the same everybody does everything.
Black jerseys on the head of the pecking order, same drills, head coach explaining they have to change the culture, says too many players feeling it's OK to miss a catch, block or throw.

Best part of their pre practice is the gatorade chug fest. The coaches scream at them to chug about 5 or 6 bottles. The linemen just blast it down and the 4 star skill players sip it so as not to soil their 40 dollar tee shirts, fk that culture crap they seem to be thinking.

4-Real

WHAT GIVES.....???

Suspensions, dismissals, accusations against the current staff (which I don't believe ) kids going awol, kids transferring, kids talkin bout transferring, bogus depth charts, injury after injury, and if that ain't enuff we got top notch recruits claiming they ain't being recruited by UM despite being seriously interested in UM. IS THIS THE PROCESS!!?? Could someone please elaborate? I'M PRETTY SURE RANDY SHANNON WOULD LIKE AN EXPLANATION ALSO :(

solarcane

hi jw thanks, Tony I see your point.
I think we have been so mediocre for so long everyone thinks it only takes a little better than average team to beat us.
It's up to the players to change that.
The days the nation respected us are fading in the rear view mirror pretty fast.
There are already kids 9 years old that have never seen a good Canes team.
FSU was down USC was down we are still down.

solar, obvious troll is obvious as the phrasing goes. The handle is spelled with a 'z' and then discusses punctuation usage, remember our discussions on the definition of irony?

Well ding, ding, ding, we've got a real wiener here.

Plus solar, how DARE you call Nix in 2008 hard-headed?!? He was way more clueless putz than he was hard-headed. (I know you're really referring to the hard-headed guy who replaced him in 2009 though, it could be worse, I could point out the need for a semi-colon in your typing instead of adding anything of relevance)

4-Real, if this team does go 4-8 or 5-7 after sliding back a game with a veteran squad to 6-6 from the previous regime's results in 2010, it's going to get very interesting in excuses, or, I mean, explanation-land heading into signing day.
