OhioCane already reported that Henderson is back at practice and is doing conditoning tests. All is good!

Freshman - Uhh, can I pick both of those ^^? If not, TRACY HOWARD!!

Assistant Coach - Mark D'onofrio

1. U have until Wednesday at 11 PM to post your LOF selections.

2. I will copy and paste them into one word document to track them throughout the year and award prizes after the season.

3. Read the rules and don't break them.

4. That is all.

The Dude

Offense: Allen Hurns
Defense: The Plug
Freshman: Tracy Howard
Coach: Art Kehoe

The Dude

K, will do, off to work 1st.

The Dude

Last shot unblue, Ohio you can pick TH for all 4 if you really want to!

Duke Johnson/Anthony Chickillo.
Duke Johnson (duh).
Art Kehoe.

You have to hit all four this year to 'win?' Freshman/coaches seems redundant to me since the former's already eligible to be picked and deliver you to the pay window and the latter isn't putting up any stats to quantify-ably judge the correct choice but, whatever.

Glad The Thing is back with his other family, hope he's doing OK all things considered and is ready to unleash some marvel age clobberin' time.

1. Offense: Clive Walford, Defense: Denzel Perryman
2. Freshmen: Duke Johnson
3. Coach: George Mcdonald

Thanks CaneRock for the update! Hope this turns out well.

Must be a Monday morning, Skreetz deniers are staking out 7-11's all over South Florida waiting for the CEO to walk in and buy a slurpee for himself so they can snap a photo to prove their exhibits regarding the former's non-existence.

Too bad the only ones getting laughed at are them, ask around, you'll hear it for yourself.

OGV...no, U do not have to hit all four to win. If you get ANY TWO right U are a winner. I just added the freshman because of popular demand and the coach because I thought it might be interesting.

Just a little 2012 twist!

Canezilla...East siders rule!

Henderson is at practice, but has to go the standard 2 days with no pads and has to pass his conditioning test i think tonight

Thanks CaneRock for the update! Hope this turns out well.

Ohio Cane subsequently posted these 2 posts, so it looks like SH has made it back:

Seantrel update: Must have had a good meeting with Golden because:

"Henderson is here will take cond. test no pads for 2 days ncaa rule."

LOF-O Morris
LOF-D Perryman

Freshman Impact Duke

Coach- Fisch we develops Morris

Observations at camp

* I think the canes coaches must read our blog, Remember awile back I ranted about our O-Line not wearing braces. Look now they all are practicing with braces on their knees.

* Seantrell is so big he looks like he is wearing pads.

* EJ is big and fast and will make an impact

News from our ProCanes, Undrafted Byrd is out performing 1st rd pick Floyd

proCane rookie LaRon Byrd in his first career NFL Pre-Season game led the Arizona Cardinals with four receptions for 54 yards with a long reception of 19 yards. Byrd was targeted six times on Sunday night. This is a great start for Byrd who is battling a very deep receiving corps for a roster spot. The Cardinals’ first round pick from Notre Dame Michael Floyd only had one reception for 15 yards.

And since SH is back, what the hell was Manny trying to stir up.
It's not like the kid was driving down from Palm Beach or something, sheez.
Oh well, you live and you learn...

Stephen Morris - Offense
Denzel Perryman - Defense
Phillip Dorsett - Special Teams
Coach (By OGV's requese LOL)- Jethro "I'm not Jed Clampett's son in law" Franklin

The D-Line looked solid in the Spring, hopefully that transitions to Jethro not getting chewed out by AG when the camera happens to pan to both of them when somebody blows yet another gap assignment.

HUH!!! How's that for a run on sentence for ya' OGV! Holla at ya' boy!!!

Offense - James
Defense - Perryman

Oops, left our freshman

Offense: Linder
Defense: Telemaque

Freshman: GRAY CROW!!!!!!!!
Coach: Kehoe

Da U N Houston

All players are eligible this year.
1. Off: P. Dorsett (Liked this kid ever sense I seen him play his JR. yr in Highschool, the kid wants it!)
Def: B. McGee (Going out on the limb here, if he ends up being THAT guy it means our D is NASTY!)
2. Frehman Impact: D. Johnson (Sorry to follow the crowd, but he is a lot bigger then I thought)
3. Coach: P. Williams (Wanted to go with G. McDonald b/c I think he is going to get the WR's in line, BUT with this pick that means I am right about McGee AND that our DB's are NASTY and we win 10 games but get a bowl ban)

For the Fans (if you ain't one, B**ch be gone)!!!

It's not a run-on sentence CaneRock, the use of the comma ensures it's proper English. I did find the revelation out of Vandy last night hilarious that apparently no college freshman can read anymore!

No child left behind indeed, they'll be cannibalizing them for food stuffs when we've forgotten how to keep the internet working. Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly give you . . . my generation! Thank you! We'll be here for the rest of your life!

Def: B. McGee (Going out on the limb here, if he ends up being THAT guy it means our D is NASTY!)

Good one.
Hopefully B-Mac improved mentally and physically, it was EMBARASSING! watching Him get punked around in the Maryland game last season.

Offense: Stephen Morris
Defense: Curtis Porter
Frosh: Tracy Howard

phillip dorsett/denzel perryman
robert lockhart

Offense - Allen Hurns
Defense - Ladarius Gunter (I guarantee he knocks someone out of the game on two occasions this season).
Rookie - Jacoby Briscoe
Coach - coach D'Onofrio (defense will be humming this season especially as we get deeper in the season)

Soup I changed my handle from TheWhat to BigTimeCane when I signed up for typepad. Hope it's ok?

LOF 2012:

Freshman: Duke
Coach: Williams

This is a lock.....just everybody copy my post and you will look like the smartest cane fan alive.....WOOOOOOO!!! lol or the dumbest guess we will all find out.

Morris - has the arm and most other tangibles, the game should have slowed down for him by now

Smith - showed flashes last year but was out of shape, U-tuff should have him ready for this year

DUKE - it was between him and TRACY but I chose him because its easier for a true freshman RB to make an instant impact than a true freshman CB

KEHOE - if our offense hums it begins and ends with the OL

Offense - Morris
Defense - Perryman
Freshman - Duke
Coach - DeNo

Offense: Mike James
Defense: Denzel Perryman
Freshmen of the Year: Duke Johnson
Coach of the Year: Al Golden

Offense: Hurns
Defense: Perryman
Freshman: Duke
Coach: Fisch

Fall Practice: Day 4

Morning showers and overcast skies didn’t stop Monday’s practice as the Miami Hurricanes continued for the fourth day of #CanesCamp at the Greentree Practice Fields. Monday was the second consecutive day in shoulder pads for the Canes.

Four days in and the competition continues for the Miami starting quarterback job. Both Stephen Morris and Ryan Williams have been solid through the first three days of camp and both continue to grow in the leadership role, according to head coach Al Golden.

“There’s a time and place for everything,” Morris said. “Right now, my job to try to get this team ready for the season. Whatever I have to do.”

Several defensive players make big plays during Monday’s wet and overcast practice, including redshirt sophomore DB Ladarius Gunter, who made a spectacular pass break-up in the corner of the end zone. Both sophomore DL Anthony Chickillo and redshirt senior DL Darius Smith recorded sacks on redshirt sophomore QB Ryan Williams.

On the first play of 11-on-11 drills, senior RB Mike James took a Williams hand-off for a touchdown. Both quarterbacks Stephen Morris and Williams took an equal amount of snaps with the first team offense.

Junior OL Seantrel Henderson, who had been in Minnesota attending the funeral of a childhood friend, returned to campus Sunday evening and made his #CanesCamp debut Monday.

#CanesCamp continues Tuesday with Miami’s fifth practice, which is slated for 8:20 a.m.
