If UM does go under .500 this year, no more button up shirt and ties for the cheerleaders. Actually even if they go 13-1, no more of that garbage ever again.

which one moon bat? Or both?
Posted by: Zakkee | September 15, 2012 at 02:58 PM
1) Butch wouldn't take what the administration would offer. 2) The administration won't offer, because of the UNC-related baggage, and because they know item #1.
Posted by: dj moonbat | September 15, 2012 at 03:00 PM
Let's use a frosh Qb. Nothing to loose, lots to gain.
Posted by: Al | September 15, 2012 at 03:00 PM
Agreed OGV, how about JUST the ties?
Posted by: The Dude | September 15, 2012 at 03:00 PM
Can't go pro until after 3 years in school. Thank goodness!
Posted by: Clwtrdan | September 15, 2012 at 03:01 PM
Hasn't FSU beaten the U 3 or 4 years in a row already? (I've lost count). This year may be the worst beat down yet!
Remember when the FSU-Miami game was a BIG well-watched rivalry game . . . with BCS and NC ramifications?
Now, FSU - with a solid coaching staff, administration support, and consistent top 10 recruiting classes - has moved back into the top tier again. Whereas the only "good" things we can say about the U these days are "Golden at Temple (blah, blah, blah)," "consistent top 10 graduation rate," "we're a young team," and "maybe the NCAA sanctions won't be too severe".
PS. Don't U think Sir Duke deserves to start next week against GT?
Posted by: 2002nemo | September 15, 2012 at 03:01 PM
Haha just the ties and nothing else and I'm game.
Posted by: Felipe | September 15, 2012 at 03:01 PM
Perryman hurt :(
Posted by: Jack | September 15, 2012 at 03:05 PM
The Dude, I abide, but I never would have guessed you like Pretty Woman that much. Not going to judge though man.

Sun Life should be sold out for the next Canes games just fo Duke.
Posted by: Montreal-Cane | September 15, 2012 at 03:05 PM
Ok thanks moonbat. I agree.
V-Tech just lost.
o-State in trouble, in their 3rd home game out of 4 straight to open the season.
Posted by: Zakkee | September 15, 2012 at 03:06 PM
Paul Chryst making Pitt a top caliber team after a loss to Youngstown State = no shock to me. Wisconsin was good because of him, not because of that worthless alcoholic Bielema.
Posted by: Felipe | September 15, 2012 at 03:06 PM
lol, Dallas Crawford INT. Let's just end his experiment in the backfield forever. Wasn't doing anything.

Good to see Ryan Williams in the game. The back up QB needs PT too. If not now, when?

Felipe on fire!
Scarface's team looks just as inversely bad as he looks in shape this year compared to last.

As far as Butch is concerned, desperate times call for desperate measures.
Posted by: The Dude | September 15, 2012 at 03:10 PM
Butch Davis can coach his ass off, i don't care what anyone says.
Posted by: Zakkee | September 15, 2012 at 03:13 PM
Is Butch or Wanny JJ's most successful disciple?

I don't think Butch is that desperate right now.
Posted by: dj moonbat | September 15, 2012 at 03:17 PM
actualy I kinda like the cheerleaders with the shirt and tie....creates some team spirit
Posted by: Account Deleted | September 15, 2012 at 03:19 PM
Are you kidding me? Butch doesn't need this crap. Forget it.
Al Golden is our coach. I'm OK with that . . . . for now. U should be too.
Posted by: 2002nemo | September 15, 2012 at 03:19 PM
Someone should hold Shalala hostige. The ransom note should say:

Posted by: CGNC | September 15, 2012 at 03:25 PM
Butch didn't just bring UM "back." He built as good a college football team as there's been (at least since the advent of NCAA limitations on team size). If for no other reason than that, he'd be a fool to take the UM job -- he would always be judged against that preposterous standard.
Posted by: dj moonbat | September 15, 2012 at 03:27 PM
WAKE puts up 0 against FSU.
Posted by: 2002nemo | September 15, 2012 at 03:27 PM
I haven't seen a moment of the action, but from the posts, it appears as though the score is not very indicative of the way the U is playing??
38-10 isn't a demolition, but certainly not a nail biter.
Hell, VT scores just 17 vs. Pitt & MD is losing to UConn, but as I noted, I haven't seen one play.
And as I have posted many times, I was hoping against all odds that Butch would return to coach. I have no issues per se with AG, but to me, it's a toss up as to which was more impressive - Schnelly's or Butch's rise of the program from the ashes. The both are for the ages - and we were all fortunate that they took place in CG.
I pray we can add AG to that HOF list!
Posted by: Pre83 | September 15, 2012 at 03:28 PM
Now coaching staff... tell us how much progress you made this week against Bethune Cookman. I just hope we beat GTech next week and go to 3-1. Miami is not a good football team right now.

Are U watching VA/GT too?
Posted by: 2002nemo | September 15, 2012 at 03:32 PM
It's a win. Uglier than hell at times, but a win's a win, especially this year. Duke gave this Cane a hellacious birthday present! Glad to see Gionni Paul looking like he can contribute, hope this means Gaines is banished to special teams. Cornelius was better outside, not great but somewhat serviceable. The Young DL looked good for the most part, as did the young DB and McGee.
Posted by: j.w. | September 15, 2012 at 03:34 PM
And Butch is NEVER, EVER coming back. The administration didn't trust or like him the first time around, and after an academic scandal at UNC , it is not. going. to. happen.
Posted by: j.w. | September 15, 2012 at 03:36 PM
CGNC,
I know u feel me baby. Lol
Posted by: CoCane | September 15, 2012 at 03:36 PM
But he couldn't lose with whats going on now.
Saban showed that he could do it twice and now everyone knows for certain that when he wins, its his game plan and masterful creation.
What Gay-Z say, "Dudes talking about they made Hov, I tell em' ok, make another Hov." In other words, if you are responsible for greatness once, then you should be able to produce it again.

God, I couldn't agree more j.w.
Posted by: Felipe | September 15, 2012 at 03:39 PM
That's why da "U" is down. The ones making the decisions aren't willing to do what it takes to come up. Bitch slaps for Shalala & her whole crew. They're responsible for this shyt we call a team...
Posted by: CoCane | September 15, 2012 at 03:45 PM
they didn't like him because he could actually coach and reach the kids.
Posted by: Zakkee | September 15, 2012 at 03:46 PM
G-Tech is gonna steamroll over this young defense. Prepare yourselves now so you won't be schocked next week.
