Get your motors running because here we go again! Another college football season officially starts for Miami Hurricane fans today at 3:30 PM against the Boston College Golden Eagles in Chestnut Hill, MA in an ACC showdown to kickoff the 2012 season.
Head coach Al Golden begins his second season as he leads Miami onto the enemy turf today. Gone for good are the last members of the class of 2008 and in their place are a bunch of young, inexperienced but talented new players that will represent "The U".
Many of those players, freshmen and sophomores, will be taking the field for the first time as they try to uphold the legacy of the many great players and teams that have come before them.
Hurricanes fans, always optimistic, have predicted a win but really have no idea what to expect from their team today other than a well-conditioned group that will give a solid, 60-minute effort.
The theme for today's game should simply be the old and famous motto of former Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis who consistently proclaimed: "Just win baby!"
Canespace Prediction: UM 27, BC 20.
ITS GAME TIME WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

86 - suggestion - have folks take pics of their attire during game day and then post them in a central location for all to see.

BC Timeout?!?!?!?!
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | September 01, 2012 at 03:38 PM
Really bad early. Looks like the "wtf is Donofrio doing" talk isn't going to die down this year if a whole 5 play sample size is any indication.

Wow I know it's the first drive but our d line looked weak
Posted by: Panamacitycane | September 01, 2012 at 03:43 PM
Somebody tell D'No kickoff was five minutes ago. Over under on Golden's agent starting the, "we have options," bunk again?
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | September 01, 2012 at 03:43 PM
Defense did not look good that opening drive. Still early, not worried yet though.

Go Canes
Posted by: SinisterCane | September 01, 2012 at 03:43 PM
ouch. D-line can't get off blocks. BC O-line supposed to be a good one.
Posted by: dacanes | September 01, 2012 at 03:43 PM
absolutely pathetic start.....
if the secondary was any further off the line of scrimmage they'd be in the parking lot
no pass rush, gaping holes......
if these keeps up say hello to a 4-8 season at best....
geez, all year to prepare and this is the best we can do......
Posted by: Account Deleted | September 01, 2012 at 03:43 PM
more like 30%
Posted by: SinisterCane | September 01, 2012 at 03:44 PM
BC always has a good offensive line. LOL their fans look like vampires - pasty!

^The secondary comment is spot on. D'onofrio's done after this year at this rate. We'll be 2-10 at best if he keeps playing 20 yards off. What the hell?
Posted by: Felipe | September 01, 2012 at 03:45 PM
This Syracuse game ugh. Seriously, who gives a sh*t about Northwestern and Syracuse?

But look what they did at Temple!
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | September 01, 2012 at 03:49 PM
you're not missing much, 3 and out on offense, one dropped pass.
Posted by: Account Deleted | September 01, 2012 at 03:49 PM
Five years at tha U and still cant catch
Posted by: SinisterCane | September 01, 2012 at 03:50 PM
Tompkins dropped a pass, OLB (I think Armbrister) gave a fullback a 30 yard swing pass, D'onofrio cost the team a couple of conversions with prevent 15 yards off the WR defense, same crap basically as we all feared.
Posted by: Felipe | September 01, 2012 at 03:50 PM
This 44 seconds is gonna last 15 more minutes.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | September 01, 2012 at 03:50 PM

Posted by: WWIN | September 01, 2012 at 03:50 PM
Three and out. Let the suffering begin!
Posted by: 86Cane | September 01, 2012 at 03:50 PM
where can we get a qb like that
Posted by: mi@mic@ne | September 01, 2012 at 03:52 PM
somebody go out to the parking lot and tell the DB"s they can move up a few yards....
Posted by: Account Deleted | September 01, 2012 at 03:52 PM
What the D'onofrio? Cover 4 with no blitz and we're getting no pressure? My god we're screwed.
Posted by: Felipe | September 01, 2012 at 03:52 PM
Willie...we don't need 50 comments about how ESPN sucks. Does nothing for the blog.
Meanwhile the TE wide open over the middle? First time that's ever happened.
Posted by: 86Cane | September 01, 2012 at 03:53 PM
Are we going to get a posrt game interview too?
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | September 01, 2012 at 03:53 PM
Nice play on the screen by Armbrister there. But why is the LB 13 yards deep? WTF?
Posted by: Felipe | September 01, 2012 at 03:53 PM
too bad we had to start with a mature qb
Posted by: mi@mic@ne | September 01, 2012 at 03:54 PM
