Rise and shine, the moment you all have been waiting for is here:
It is game day college football fans!
Today's ACC showdown at Sun Life Stadium between your Miami Hurricanes and the North Carolina State Wolfpack is set for a noon kickoff, which in the immortal words of long-time Canespacer and tailgate extraordinaire Keoki, can only mean one thing:
It's time for some kegs and eggs!
Whether you travel light and arrive empty handed or pack up the custom van and arrive fully stocked it makes no difference. There are only two rules for game day and tailgatinbg:
1. U HAVE TO SHOW UP.
2. WHEN IN DOUBT, SEE RULE #1.
This morning at 8 AM when the parking lot gates open and fans from all across the Country decend upon Sun Life Stadium to celebrate the Fall ritual that happens only a few times a year and has no equal.
There will be the sweet smell of the grill getting fired up, the sound of the tailgate music blaring and the fellowship with over 50,000 of your closest friends that all share one thing in common: their love of Miami Hurricanes football.
Even if you have not yet found the courage to purchase an inflatbale gorilla to mount atop your vehichle just for this occasion you too will still be welcome as long as you pass one test: You must bleed orange and green and pledge your alegiance to The U.
Once inside the stadium and properly lubricated, I mean seated, you will have to rise to your feet once again to cheer on the 'Canes as they run through the smoke and onto the field of battle.
As far as today's game goes our in depth analysis of the statistical data indicates both teams will score points. However, we have heard rumors on the street that both coaches will attempt to implement a super-duper, top-secret strategy: win the game by scoring more points than the other team.
We say Miami does win the game by a close score but with a convincing performance nonetheless.
CANESPACE PREDICTION: UM 31, NCST 27

Vegascane checking in, wish I was at SLS rooting on the boys today, but will have to settle for watching it on ESPNU here at the house. Stephen Morris getting time to throw and reducing overthrows will be key. I've got our Canes winning by 7-10.
Enjoy the game live fellas and get loud!!!

Game is on AFN xtra at 2030, Afghanistan time.
Miami 49, NCS 19
GO CANES!!!
Posted by: IraqiCane | September 29, 2012 at 10:40 AM
Canes win 34-24.
Wish I could get to the game but am on solo dad duty today with the 11 weeker (middle name is Kane).
Duke and MJ get 2 TD each. Duke continues his all-purpose tear going for 273 today.
C-A-N-E-S, CANES!
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 10:46 AM
Game is on ESPNU for those who can't make the game and aren't locals!
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | September 29, 2012 at 10:51 AM
Keys to the game:
Offense – manage the game, hit the big plays
Defense – Let the hounds loose create havoc
GO CANES!
Posted by: Nomad | September 29, 2012 at 11:04 AM
What about those who are locals and can't get to the game, can they watch ESPNU too? Lucky if half capacity and 87 PK Greg Cox is in the house for this game. Miami needs to wear all white and make red clad NC State bake today.

Go canes ......No ESPNU....trying to get game from "First Row" it worked last game forget who directed me to it.

Wow. Worst opening series play calls ever.
Just pissed away a possession.
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 12:05 PM
A timely 3rd down stop.
Posted by: The Dude | September 29, 2012 at 12:08 PM
Kudos Gionni Paul, good coverage on the RB on that 2nd down play.
Posted by: The Dude | September 29, 2012 at 12:09 PM
The D is "flying around" out there
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 12:09 PM
Dude, good call on Paul. He made one of the only coverages on a RB/TE of the past 7 years.
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 12:10 PM
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 12:10 PM
LOL, certainly feels that way.
Posted by: The Dude | September 29, 2012 at 12:11 PM
Nonexistent running game thus far.
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 12:15 PM
We were close there on 3rd down. Good play call, good throw, good coverage.
Posted by: The Dude | September 29, 2012 at 12:16 PM
And there was a HUGE error by paul.
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 12:20 PM
Paul awful tackle.
Posted by: The Dude | September 29, 2012 at 12:20 PM
Dude, problem was it wasn't a tackle.
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 12:20 PM
Bonehead Gianni Paul.
WRAP YoUR GUyS UP
Good coverage by Crawford just a good throw by Glennon (due to no pressure).
Posted by: Felipe | September 29, 2012 at 12:20 PM
Yep, Dude. Wrap up, don't just try to blast him with two forearm shivers. Way. Too. Easy.
Posted by: j.w. | September 29, 2012 at 12:21 PM
I guess I cant really call that a tackle.
How many in attendence today?
Posted by: The Dude | September 29, 2012 at 12:21 PM
We waste way too many possessions being safe and complacent with the play calling. Just watch how fish begins to call plays when we are down by a TD or 2...he'll begin to attack and the plan will be successful.
Why do we always need to be hit first? Reactionary mind state.
Posted by: Zakkee | September 29, 2012 at 12:21 PM
Attendance looks like 7K
Posted by: BEERicane | September 29, 2012 at 12:22 PM
@CoreyLong
Miami seemed to have solid traveling crowds at BC and GT but getting nothing at home. Is the Parking that much of a pain?
Crowd looks worse than the BCC game. Wow, city of Miami.
Posted by: Felipe | September 29, 2012 at 12:23 PM
Yeah baby!
Kehoe looking like a Trojan condom.
Posted by: The Dude | September 29, 2012 at 12:24 PM
observe how the players especially Morris begin to perform when the play calls are geared to their personalities---attack mode!
its happening as i type!
Posted by: Zakkee | September 29, 2012 at 12:24 PM
Yeah pretty good Zakkee. You called it.
Posted by: Felipe | September 29, 2012 at 12:25 PM
