I don't blame him, hope the tailgate was entertaining.

Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | September 15, 2012 at 11:39 PM

Oh YEAH baby! The Gorilla was there, Ocala, TSully, Kenny and a bunch of others were "flying around" the tailgate. We had beer, vodka, rum and jello shots (from a different source).

And on top of that we sold 10 bags of the new Canespace coffee for $10 a pop in 1 hour. A good time was had by all!

86Cane

Golden on the attendance…

"I’m not worried about the crowd. I understand the market we’re in. There’s going to be a day when we’re delivering. They’re going to come out and see guys like Duke Johnson and Malcolm Lewis. We’re going to grow up together. I promise you this team is going to grow up together. They’re working hard, they’re staying humble, staying together. I understand that."

CaneRock

Matt Barkley, awesome college quarterback, as long as he doesn't have to play a ranked team. LMFAO!

Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | September 15, 2012 at 11:27 PM

YUP!
He's just another in the long line of the Leinarts',Sanchezs',and Palmers of the world.
Great in a pro-style COLLEGE! offense, playing against COLLEGE! defenses, but SUCK! when they play in the pros, against the pros.

86Cane

Golden on the improvement of Deon Bush…

"He’s just been getting better. He’s very steady. He’s like Duke in that sense. He goes to work every day. I think Malcolm [Lewis] is in that group. They just go to work. He has steadily improved, he has eliminated the mental errors, and he’s gained the trust of the coaches, which is why he’s getting more reps. He’s earned those reps in practice."

I don't know about the rest of the economy but it sounds like the tailgate economy is chaking'ing like crazy when it comes to 'Space product launches!

Just imagine if there had been an actual crowd on hand for the game. You'd have paid for the season ticket in three quarters of the time!

86Cane

OGV...it was freaking AMAZING!

Ocala brought 10 bags of the five types of Canespace coffee as an "experiment" to sell and we sold them with in an hour.

Next time he is bringing BOXES of them and we will be ready to roll. People LOVED the idea, but mainly the older crowd with $$$.

The younger crowd was too busy getting their DRANK on to worry about any beverages with caffeine in them. LOL

I blew out my ankle on my ship. Docs said it was the worst kind of sprain you can get without breaking anything. I cant see how people play football after those kinds of injuries.

WWIN

86,

Did you check yo email yet?

orange 'n green in the vein

Baby James basically had his entire college career derailed by that type of ankle sprain against UF in 2008.

I was about to say CEO, that's a bag of coffee every six minutes! You sold them faster than I can drink my first three to five tailgate beers!

tjl3909

U can be out the year with a high ankle sprain. Devastating news and timing sucks with Georgia Tech. We need to score our azz off-only way to beat them with our D is to outscore them. The O better come ready

CGNC

canespace coffee?!?!? Ocala you working on some decaf for me?

CGNC

I watched the Stanford USC game. Those teams looked pretty even as well as good. I was thinking they would wipe the floor with us

ocala great move my man!

It was the worst crowd I have ever seen and I have seen a LOT of them.

soup the stands looked exactly like The orange bowl games in the mid 70s.

glad to hear you guys got your tailgate on.

cg, I was watching the GT, Georgia, FSU, UF highlights saying the same thing.

Roger that! Surprisingly several people asked for De-caf coffee so I have Ocala working on it ASAP. We a

lso came up with the "Game Day" coffee idea so that the lable will be commemorative of the game that fans attended.

Jack

High ankle sprain = 4 to 6 weeks out! Damn no luck this season #45 gone now #52 out for awhile.... I do like #44 and #36 looks decent at linebacker that is about it! GT will run for 300plus against us. :(

raizecane

K-State struggles against North Texas.....

Not sure if the polls are out but anyone want to bet Notre Dame jumps to the top 10??

Excellent. All should be available to be ordered and shipped too right? For those of out of town peeps. Are you doing mugs too?

CGNC

Solar I haven't seen GT yet but FSU looks for real. Don't forget Tennessee is not that good so not sold on the Gators- I don't go solely by highlights - misleading sometimes.I watched most of the USC-Stanford game

Didn't he have some neck injury too? He was never the same after that

pbcfr19832

Anybody else who watched the GT UVA game think GT is going to do the samething they did to UVA AH basically kstate all over again. bunch of freshman who have never seen a triple opition last time we were even this close to be this young was 08 and im sure we all re call that betting we took.

The Dude

The problem with the GTech game is that our D coordinator can't adapt if they modify their attack in any way. We are hosed. This game will probably be on coach Fisch to win because we probably have to score 50 to win.

The Dude

Jack,
4-6 weeks doesn't surprise me at all. It should be 1-2 weeks before he can walk without those crutches. Ankle is probably the size of a grapefruit right now. I had my walking boot on for about a month. I really can't see how anyone can play football with this type of injury.

Please, someone . . . anyone . . . tell me how the U can/will win the GT game. I don't want to be depressed all week, again.

Jack

I know Dude, we are in big trouble on D. Man I did not see this coming, my bad...

Jack

Nemo it a loooong shot! Canes are prob not going to beat GT, ND, VT, FSU!!

hassan

We just played against 3 option teams in a row. We have had 2 weeks to prepare against GT. Our guys have got to slow down their attack, our Offense needs to move the football.

Jiggafras

We are in big trouble. UVA has more experience than we do and they were missing assignment and getting gashed for big plays. I have no hope of winning this game. Lets just hope they don't run for 400+ yards like in 08. BTW GT defense is pretty good too. We have boso on our side that wants to blame everything on youth and no talent. We should look at K States other 2 games and realize that they are not that good, barely getting by North Texas at home in a night game. We cant stop FCS BCC from running for 230 yards. Its very depressing, 3 bottles of Ciroc am drinkig by game time saturday. You may need it

Main things with GT, is to tackle the dive, and to get off those DIRTY ASS! cut blocks by their slot-backs. GT is notorious for aiming the crown of the helmet at those knees, Paul Johnson is just a dirty ass MOFO!

Here is some wise words....

mi@mic@ne

This is Golden.. camp drills , team concepts, focus on technique...having good people around you, focus on winning...getting coachable players for you system...everyone knows all the assignments...big side on mental preparation.

Zakkee

The Dude is correct, we'll only lose this game if No'D and Fisch refuse to adjust our game plans according to what GT is doing.

I believe we have the personnel that can beat GT, but the game plans must reflect excitement and trust in the players. A defeatist game plan produces a defeatist effort.

Fisch must attack, because our best defense will be a successful offense. Call plays that are vertical and not always horizontal (especially in the red zone). USE THE TE's! Cleveland, Dye, and Walford should be in 3 TE sets and we should play-action pass and run Duke and Clements out of this.

The long balls we saw this week were practice runs for next weekend. Look for us to play-action pass deep to Dorsett and hopefully Hurns after establishing a successful running game. Our OL is the key to this game so Kehoe..lets go.

Anyone saying that this game is a definite loss--is clearly saying that they don't trust our coaching staff. GT's players are not superior to ours (talent and size-wise)--that assessment has to be based off of the coaching disparity.

I don't believe this game is a definite loss for us. If it is and if we get blown out like most are projecting, then our coordinators are horrible!

No'D cannot wait for GT to reach our 2nd level on Defense--we aren't good enough to read or react. The d-line and the safeties must play very well. The safeties will be the key to the turnovers we need to win this game (we only beat GT when we get turnovers on them). McGee, Finnie and Howard are gonna have to be on islands...I'm sorry. We can't let then run down our throats. Make Washington beat us with his weak, inaccurate arm.

The coordinator jobs aren't that difficult, especially considering they get paid 6 figures to devise them.

orange 'n green in the vein

Please, GT is the most likely road upset UM can pull off this year.

First of all, they aren't changing what they're doing. Even when they're down two touchdowns they still will end up with less than 15 attempts passing for the day, so all they have to do is play assignment football. Second, the youth on this team has seen the option and will not be caught unaware, they might get caught out of position, but not because they don't know what they're supposed to do defensively. Third, GT was the high point of Golden's tenure as a coach, the only time he's beaten a conference foe who finished above .500 and UM owns these guys.

Not saying that this game won't be tougher than last year at home where GT never got started and ended up housed thanks to the road crowd, just saying this game UM has the best chance to win by doing the little things right and letting their natural athleticism shine.

I said after KSU you'd see an immediate improvement and you did last week, I'm telling you this week UM will be in this game and if they can get that double digit lead at any point in the game, will be very, very tough to dislodge from that first place in the division.

Morris will have to skip the tailgate and show up non-hungover though because right now he's really holding the offense back with the throws sailing high and the rest of the bad pocket presence mistakes, fumbles, INT's, etc. I've downgraded him to the poor to the great recession man's Kenny Kelly after three games this year and another slow start on the road is going to begging for Williams to get in and try to get something going this week before the clock gets to thin to mount enough of a comeback to save that division record.

mi@mic@ne

I think Al was trying to play too many young guys and it would be successful. So now he is gonna focus on the 11 guys who do not make mistakes which will give us some consistency. I just hope there is eight or nine people in the box against this option. Make them beat us with the mid range to long passes.

Sup SpaceCadets?

Solar...

A Great Time was had by all at the game.
A few things to note:

The Bcc band is enormous and very good! I counted 30 Tubas they are very loud...

My 14 year old son came away with a question? Why does everyone curse so much?

Duke is greatness! Very Walter Payton like, GREAT VISION and command of himself directing blockers as he runs...

As for the crowd, the lights were on but nobody was home...

We are working very hard to produce a very unique coffee product exclusively for CaneSpace and UM fans. Our coffees are all either single origin or blends created from those single origin coffees. They are Rainforest Alliance certified,Strictly High Grown, European Prep, many are classified Shade Grown. They are improted Green and Fresh Roasted daily hear at our shop in Ocala. I know its asking a whole lot, but Spacers if you have the ability or patience please watch the defensive game plan that the Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator is using today. Its the same aggressive plan as last week when they stifled the Eagles, harassed and picked off Vick 3 or 4 times. This is exactly the way we should be scheming our young defense.

He is bringing pressure and making Dalton beat the Browns corners with perfect passes only. CB's are covering the inside slants and everything short, while trusting the rush to get or pressure Dalton's deep pass touch & timing.

And the biggest and most important factor in their success is that the unheralded and young (youngest roster in the league and starting 6 rookies) Browns players are extremely pumped up and focused on their plan. The Browns defense is bought in and flying around for the second weak in a row.

Its actually fun to watch this defense play.

Felipe

Wow Greg Schiano taking the NFL by storm (so far). 3 INTs of Manning, stopped Newton last week. Good stuff
