Today: Your Miami Hurricanes will face the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame at Soldier Field in Chicago. Widely advertised as a "neutral game site" there is absolutely nothing neutral about the home field advantage for the Irish as they traveled just 90 miles versus 900 miles for your crew from the 305.
This game is so huge on the college football horizon for Hurricane fans that it is almost unimaginable. The game may very well be the season turning catalyst that the Hurricanes need to aspire to higher achievements and glory as they look to regain National prominence.
Here's a little pump up video for the game from our friend CaneFreak:
Tomorrow: Hurricane fans hope to be celebrating the biggest win for Miami since their 2009 victory over then highly ranked Oklahoma at Sun life Stadium. If the Hurricanes can find a way to beat Notre Dame in Chicago the sky is all of a sudden the limit for this young but talented team.
It would be by far the biggest win of UM head coach Al Golden's young UM career and set up two huge ACC match-ups with North Carolina and Florida State back to back at home in Miami. Now doesn't that sound like fun from the good old days?
If you want to work hard and get dirty then this video will get it done:
Always: Respect the other team and root for your Miami Hurricanes to win the game against any opponent at any site, neutral or not. Today's game holds incredible opportunities for UM against a storied program and big time rival in what basically amounts to a home game for the Irish.
May the game be a good contest, be fairly called and hard fought throughout.
And may the best team win!
Canespace Prediction: UM 31, ND 27

Ahhh social media. This should generate some buzz...
Ohio State third-string quarterback Cardale Jones made his feelings about attending classes clear Friday on Twitter.
"Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL classes are POINTLESS," he wrote.
The tweet and Jones' entire account have been deleted, but multiple media outlets captured Jones' words before they vanished

USF loses to Temple 37-28
Posted by: Old Skool | October 06, 2012 at 04:24 PM
The Coastal is our to lose and we should not waste the chance. By the end of today we could have more than a 1 game lead on every team. VPI just lost to UNC who is ineligible. VPI also has to play at Clemson and V FSU. Duke is the only other undefeated team in our division with all due respect i don't think that will hold. GT needs us and VPI to lose 3 games to have a chance. Heart says the guys check these results come out fired up and play a loose game v ND and take it to them. Forcing TOs and slinging it all over the field.

Talk about conspiracy theory!!!!! Watching duke / Virginia and they put up all the acc qb names & passing stats except...u guessed it, Stephen Morris!!!

Posted by: The Dude | October 06, 2012 at 04:34 PM
Kyle Brindza is Notre Dames kicker on kick offs. He has kicked off 23 times this year and has 10 touchbacks. To me this is really important because it means Duke and Dorsett will have shots at returns. Also, no one has scored on the Irish this year in the first quarter. I think Miami can change that.

didn't mow or weed all week, expecting this may be a long evening...
The No'D has to step up big time if we're going to win. If not, we can only hope it turns into a track meet and the team that scores last wins.....
My guess....sorry but after 5 weeks I've got no confidence in No'D, and I'm afraid Morris is simply over due for a bad game
....ND 38 U 10........

Not really. D'No hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt yet.
Posted by: Felipe | October 06, 2012 at 05:59 PM
Felipe...while I will agree D'No hasn't, I think the players have. They have at least made key stops and have had some 3 and outs..if we lose I do not think it will be by that much..imo
Posted by: UMike | October 06, 2012 at 06:01 PM
No predictions from me. Just gonna route like hell and hope to god these boys fight like this means as much to them as it does to everyone else. Hopefully we roll. Go Canes! Your future is in your hands!
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | October 06, 2012 at 06:06 PM
ND's offense isn't good enough to score 63 points against any defense with 11 players standing upright.
Posted by: dj moonbat | October 06, 2012 at 06:08 PM
D'No's scheme calls for 11 players to stand upright? I thought four of them have to square dance with the biggest guys on the other team or else they get benched for causing fumbles in the backfield?
