Today: Your Miami Hurricanes will face the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame at Soldier Field in Chicago. Widely advertised as a "neutral game site" there is absolutely nothing neutral about the home field advantage for the Irish as they traveled just 90 miles versus 900 miles for your crew from the 305.
This game is so huge on the college football horizon for Hurricane fans that it is almost unimaginable. The game may very well be the season turning catalyst that the Hurricanes need to aspire to higher achievements and glory as they look to regain National prominence.
Here's a little pump up video for the game from our friend CaneFreak:
Tomorrow: Hurricane fans hope to be celebrating the biggest win for Miami since their 2009 victory over then highly ranked Oklahoma at Sun life Stadium. If the Hurricanes can find a way to beat Notre Dame in Chicago the sky is all of a sudden the limit for this young but talented team.
It would be by far the biggest win of UM head coach Al Golden's young UM career and set up two huge ACC match-ups with North Carolina and Florida State back to back at home in Miami. Now doesn't that sound like fun from the good old days?
If you want to work hard and get dirty then this video will get it done:
Always: Respect the other team and root for your Miami Hurricanes to win the game against any opponent at any site, neutral or not. Today's game holds incredible opportunities for UM against a storied program and big time rival in what basically amounts to a home game for the Irish.
May the game be a good contest, be fairly called and hard fought throughout.
And may the best team win!
Canespace Prediction: UM 31, ND 27
We look better than these guys.

Could be 14-0. It is not.

Nice drive, too bad we didn't get 7. ice block by #24 when Morris ran it in. Stinks about the calls.

Canes should be leading. These mistakes are uncharacteristic of an Al Golden team. Golden will get this corrected.

Bush is back by the way.

Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | October 06, 2012 at 08:12 PM
as for the refs... this is really a ND home game...on the ND network...little of no chance they'll keep it fair
Posted by: Account Deleted | October 06, 2012 at 08:12 PM
YOU ARE RIGHT. THE REFS ARE ND ALL THE WAY. JUST ASK MY DECEASED DAD, IF HE WERE ALIVE, BEING A ND GRAD.
WE ARE ONLY DOWN BY 4, COULD BE SO MUCH WORSE. WE SHOULD BE UP BY A TD OR TWO, SO GOLDEN ETC WILL CLEAN THINGS UP, I HOPE. MY NERVES ARE ON EDGE, LIKE ALL OF YOU.

that's the second time the QB ran right past Paul....he's lost out there

Paul waiting on a parade?!!
Posted by: 4-Real | October 06, 2012 at 08:14 PM
Hi Mary Lou! Glad you could "attend" the game with us
Posted by: CGNC | October 06, 2012 at 08:15 PM
The helmets of ND are HIDEOUS
Posted by: CGNC | October 06, 2012 at 08:16 PM
Pretty sure these are the same refs from BC this year. So they should know ND isn't in the ACC (just five games a year, reeks of independence to me) yet.

Eddie is the real deal on D...just wish we had a few more like him
Posted by: Account Deleted | October 06, 2012 at 08:18 PM
Have to ask as they show No'D on the TV and note we're giving up near 500 yds again.
What is it he does?????

How can a Div 1 defense be this bad???
Posted by: Account Deleted | October 06, 2012 at 08:24 PM
Too many mistakes in the first quarter.
Posted by: alex | October 06, 2012 at 08:24 PM

This defense sux!!! God just stop these mofos
Posted by: Jramos | October 06, 2012 at 08:25 PM
Hold them to a FG. We can beat these guys, just need to settle down on both sides of the ball. Can't keep making mistake against # 9 ranked team.
Posted by: hitter | October 06, 2012 at 08:25 PM
Wow, for a team that was ranked in the mid 90's in offensive yards/game, ND sure is on pace to put up 500+ this game! What gives?
Oh, right, Temple coordinating.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | October 06, 2012 at 08:26 PM
I'm not feeling #36.
Posted by: alex | October 06, 2012 at 08:26 PM
Dorsett should be on the bench with his next drop. Right now the game is squarely on him.
Posted by: BEERicane | October 06, 2012 at 08:26 PM
Please no more rushing 3. No more free releases off the line of scrimage. please thank you
Posted by: dacanes | October 06, 2012 at 08:27 PM
GREAT coverage by Bush.
Posted by: Felipe | October 06, 2012 at 08:28 PM

LOL did you see #52 give that dude an earful after he hit him? LMAO
Posted by: CGNC | October 06, 2012 at 08:30 PM
Funny how sports work things out..
Last week Dorsett is the hero with the game winning catch
Tonight...drops two....

Why do the announcers keep saying
"Notre Dame Football" is brought to you by....
Posted by: CGNC | October 06, 2012 at 08:30 PM
For some reason I anticipate a record number of penalties tonight on Miami
Posted by: Account Deleted | October 06, 2012 at 08:32 PM
these refs are ACC?
Posted by: tjl3909 | October 06, 2012 at 08:32 PM
How you know it's ND network:
No replay of Perryman's big hit.
No replay of that "hold" by Crawford.
Posted by: Felipe | October 06, 2012 at 08:32 PM
Please tell me that wasn't Dorsett again...
Posted by: Account Deleted | October 06, 2012 at 08:33 PM
To the bench Dorsett!!! Stopped early on that route and had to restart. Bench!
Posted by: BEERicane | October 06, 2012 at 08:33 PM
Yeah he did slow up early on that route. Sad to say, big fan of him.
Posted by: Felipe | October 06, 2012 at 08:34 PM
need one stop on D? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeese
Posted by: tjl3909 | October 06, 2012 at 08:36 PM
If you don't bench Dorsett then there no accountilibity.
Posted by: Sinistercane | October 06, 2012 at 08:36 PM
D needs a stop this time.....
Posted by: Account Deleted | October 06, 2012 at 08:37 PM
So far, the pain is more than I can bear.
Posted by: 86Cane | October 06, 2012 at 08:37 PM
This is making me sick... we should be crushing these fools
Posted by: panamacitycane | October 06, 2012 at 08:37 PM
#4 is the best player on ND. NDs entire defense is throw it to #4.
I'd rather have Wieclaw kicking a 45 yarder than to throw to Dorsett. Guy is absolute trash tonight.

Posted by: 1miamifan | October 06, 2012 at 08:38 PM
Backside of that D fell for that reserve hook line and sinker.
Won't be doing that 2 years from now.
