In its annual breakdown of the country’s top recruiting classes, Baseball America rated the Miami Hurricanes’ 13-member group as the tenth-best incoming class in the nation.
The publication’s rankings were the second to recognize the Hurricanes' 2012 class, comprised of 11 true freshmen, one redshirt freshman and one junior. Collegiate Baseball newspaper rated the Hurricanes’ 2012 class the ninth-best in the nation in its annual rankings released in late September.
It was the first time the Hurricanes had a group ranked in the top 10 by Baseball America since 2006, as Miami was recognized with the second-highest rated recruiting class in the Atlantic Coast Conference (North Carolina, No. 5).
Four of the 13 newest Hurricanes were selected in June’s 2012 Major League Baseball First-Year player Draft: Grant Heyman (round 11, Toronto Blue Jays), Brandon Lopez (round 34, Toronto Blue Jays) and David Thompson (round 38, New York Yankees). Another newcomer, righthanded pitcher Jace Herrera, was selected in the 36th round of the 2011 MLB Player Draft by the Boston Red Sox.
All fall practices at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field, held every Monday through Saturday until Nov. 17, are open to the public. Practices are set to begin each day at 2:30 p.m.

I am close to several people on the Board of Trustees and a large donor myself, although not on the board.
I'm telling anyone that reads this, that the above is a totally unsubstantiated rumor and not likely to happen.
I know exactly what's going on inside UM, boosters, BOT, and the athletic department and I can say with strong conviction, that no one knows what is going to happen. The NCAA is playing their cards face down, as they usually do.
No one at UM knows of any deal even being discussed between the ACC and the NCAA. The fact that this is out on a message board negates its credibility. Were something like this actually be in the works, there is no way it would ever get out, but that's moot, because its not happening.
It's actually cruel to get people's hopes up on this nonsense. Nobody knows what the NCAA is going to do, go easy, hard, or in between. Not only have they not even decided what the punishment is, they even haven't decided what their allegations are going to be.

Negative rumors everybody believes and nobody wants to contest them.
Positive rumors nobody believes and someone is always ready to contest it.
Love this world.

UMbooster, I won't believe anything until the Sith Lords at the NCAA hand down their verdict. I've read that the NCAA was considering being more lenient with SMU due to the school's cooperation (on the investigation of the final offenses), then decided to go ahead and give them the death penalty anyway.
Hope Rumor Monger is right.

The NCAA does not discuss ongoing investigations with any party. Remember the soon to be former coach at Auburn walking up at a coaching function and asking the head in charge of the Cam scam investigation when they would be done investigating the allegations?
Her answer was, "When we're finished."
Plus add in the fact that UM doesn't get any extra money for playing in the ACC CG, they get the revenue share from staging the thing whether they make it or not and the Monger up there is just an obvious troll attempt. There is no monetary benefit for qualifying for this game, UM gets their check cut either way whether they play in the game win or lose, win the division and don't play, or don't win the division.

UMbooster is right. The BOT is in the the dark too. Speculation is not fact.
PS. The graduation rate is irrelevant.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think its the WORST scandal ever. I'm saying outside people think that because they hate us. I actually don't see anything wrong with giving players anything if its your money and that's what you want to do. The NCAA makes millions of dollars off these kids and they get nothing but free school. Yes free school is something but football is work, they have to put in school hours and football hours in every week. Last I heard, when you work for something it means its not free. So if you get a academic scholarship you go to school for free and don't have to do nothing else but concentrate on school, so its not fair for college athletes.

Screw the rumours...IT'S VT WEEK!!!! I think there could be a good chance of finishing 8-4 and make the acccg..its not what we want but I think given the circumstances its a pretty damn good season. Lets just enjoy these last few weeks of college football because we all know the off season last a long time and is a very sad time for me...ENOUGH OF NOTHING BUT NEGATIVE NANCYS..IT REALLY IS GETTING BORING AND OLD HEARING THE SAME OLD WHINING
LETS GO CANES
