Get over the temple thing... thats how UM hires and will always hire! Its nothing new.

pbcfrcane13

OGV going outside can start again next weekend now that our teams season is over.

pbcfrcane13

And you keep saying that you dont take stock in it, but if they get it right majority of the time than the stats/numbers mean that they have a clue what they are doing.

WWIN

you come from Temple, and the only ring you have is the one when you got married.

No mention of the horrific D by AG... SHOCKING!

orange 'n green in the vein

Willie, that did get a LOL from me.

pbcfrcane13

Btw OGV ill give you that I can give an AL presser before he can and guess it right. We need to make a drinking game out of those...if you guys havent done that already

pbcfrcane13

Is the ACC really going to put up a Goose Egg!! against the SEC!! So annoying!!

orange 'n green in the vein

To be fair roach, he called the 99 yard TD bomb a 'back breaker.'

Panamacitycane

BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER, SMARTER!!! THAT IS THE GOAL FOR NEXT YEAR. NOTHING ELSE UTOUGH STARTS NOW!!!

Felipe

well maybe that 99 yarder was a backbreaker for No'D. One can only hope.

Sarasota 'cane

Why would he talk about the defense? It's obvious there's a problem but why would any coach throw one of his coordinators under the bus during a presser just to satisfy the delusional blogging community?
It's the same reason he wouldn't throw a player under the bus when they crap the bed. Wieclaw missed 5 costly kicks this year and Golden never threw him under the bus. It's a Fing game played by 18 year old kids and watched by delusional drunken couch potatoes.
We would be lucky a week from now if this entire staff hasn't moved to Knoxville, or "not so" Happy Valley, or any other college town that offers more support and money.
Thanks for the blog and all your hard work Soup!
Go 'canes!

roachcane77

BTW... Marquise Lee is NO Duke Johnson... not even close.

I'll take DJ8 EVERYTIME!

Jack

7-5 improvement indeed! Way to finish strong! Let's go Canes 2013!!

Terrance Sullivan

Vegas was right again they had our Canes pegged for a 7-5 season. Thanks to the Seniors for their leadership and to the underclassmen who bought into the process. We all wanted our Canes to win more games but this team definitely made progress and we can look forward to the offseason and the 2013 Canes season on August 31st against FAU. Go Canes.

roachcane77

He should talk about how weak the D is because he's the Head Coach, and he's supposed to hold his staff accountable.

I have never said throw a player under the bus. But talking about team weaknesses should not be seen as throwing people under the bus. These guys are making obscene amounts of money compared to most of us on this blog. (Not SEC money mind you, but still enough to where if they don't perform, they need to be replaced.)

roachcane77

Again, I don't in a million years see it happening... AG is NOT going to replace his "buddy"... It's just a shame... cause we could be a contender with just a middle of the pack defense... (Instead of bottom of the barrel.)

Jack

I believe in Coach Golden and this team!

Fire D No

I believe coach Golden has the worst defense in scool history.

Ohio_Cane

I'm both sad and happy right now. Mixed emotions.

Sad for the seniors. Mainly Mike James. They deserved an ACCCG and a bowl.

Sad that our D was that bad.

Sad that its another mediocre year.

Sad that all that effort and hard work turned into a 7-5 season that was over before December.

However, happy that the future is VERY bright.

Happy that all those offensive starters are back.

Happy that Duke plays for Miami.

Happy that the whole OL is back.

Happy that these freshman and sophomores are about to go through UTough and become even stronger, faster and smarter.

Happy that I can now focus on recruiting completely.

Happy that Golden is our leader.

Happy that only 1 defensive player is leaving.

Happy that we self imposed and will find out the sanctions soon, ending this tireless speculation.

As I've said 100 times, THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT!

Ohio_Cane

Just to add: Sad that Eddie Johnson is possibly in the beginning stages of blowing an EXTREMELY promising career, both in college and the NFL.

REALLY hope he rights the ship.

WWIN

Willie, that did get a LOL from me.

Yeah that was a good one lol

orange 'n green in the vein

Every once in a while I enjoy watching the proverbial fish in the barrel get blasted into kingdom come Willie, I'm evil like that. Must be my liver.

Felipe

Dear Trojans, I hate you but beat the Irish in the next 7 minutes. Thanks.

solarcane

Mike James will be a millionaire before the Canes play their next football game, hard for me to feel sorry for a class guy that's going to be successful at anything he does way after his college days are a memory.

Our offense will be at the top of almost every ACC offensive category next season. We will go about 9-3 and still not be a top 20 ranked defense.

Bush is going to become what we thought Ray Ray already was.

Duke is already more than we thought Lamar was.

TCU has as many or more freshmen and sophomores playing than we do and none of them are as talented as our guys.
Patterson never blamed his losses on having to play so many freshmen just to make his coaching staff look better.

Our guys never quit once this year.
Our Defense never rose above one hundred in the nation with 3/4 of the season left to improve.

Duke IS a tough place to play if you have Mr. Magoo running your defense.

Caneitis

Monty, I'm feeling dirty as hell because I'm cheering for USC to pull the upset and Florida to beat the SEC champ for another illegitimate national title, if it's over Georgia better IMO. Yes 5 will still be > 4 but it also puts Al on notice since he basically took over the same situation at Gaineshell as Muschump did and it's now time to produce or get lost since he has a major advantage as a head coach from experience's standpoint.

Wanting gayturds to win an NC is wrong, I can't understand why a Canes fan would want that. It hurts in so many ways. Have you lost your mind?

Your hatred of a Golden is so irrational that you want turds winning NC's because it makes Golden look bad. Sickening. I hate the gators way more than anybody, and to me, as much as I hate the domers, its no contest. Gayturd hatred is in a REAL canes fan DNA

You need to get over being butthurt about Shannon and move on.

orange 'n green in the vein

Keep it in the state and have a guarenteed game at home against the defending champs or watch Notre Dame play Alabama in a puke national title game?

You need to get over Golden being a game over .500 after two years and start cheering for Notre Dame. Plus it's my hometown so, in the immortal words of Manny Navarro, eat me Caneitis.

Caneitis

Keep it in the state and have a guarenteed game at home against the defending champs

Huh?

..

orange 'n green in the vein

You're so excited about what Al's building you don't even know who's on the schedule next year in week 2?

As a Cane fan you sure need ND to win this title to make yourself feel better about the ass kicking they laid on Al and the team in Chicago Caneitis.

solarcane

To bad we aren't playing ND for the championship

Catholics vs Conflicts
tee shirts would fly off the shelves

Caneitis

I could care less about Golden or DNo really. Golden might best be served by firing him, but we don't get to make that decision. Who knows maybe he does fire him, but I wouldn't bet a lot of money.

Golden just happens to be our HC so I'll support him until I think he can't get it done. The jury is still out, but I haven't thrown in the towel like you.

I still can't believe you want to UiF to win an NC. That's a testament to your lack of character as a Canes fan. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're lacking character as a person, but just as a canes fan.

Willie Will in Nashville

Just watched the raising canes video, damn duke lives in a mansion, no wonder why he already runs like a pro lol

brevardcane

The defense was flat out scary. But i'm glad we pretty much beat everyone's expectations. Who was it from the media that said we'd have only 4 wins - LOL.

brevardcane

scary in a bad way that is..

Don't they play eight man football V.A.?

Brandon Odoi for sure. Not sure of others. Manny?

Caneitis

You're so excited about what Al's building you don't even know who's on the schedule next year in week 2?

Ok I get it. No I don't need or want turds winning an NC so we can say we played the NC winner week 2. Check my DNA, I'm all canes through and trough. Real canes don't want turds to win NC's. Ask Chick, or Duke, or Kehoe or any other blood cane

Mcginns ale house

Good point.

ND = BCS Ranking: 1 & Graduation Rate: 1

SHALALA'S IMPOSSIBILTY THEOREM?

Caneitis

Where is McGinns ale house?

orange 'n green in the vein

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I lack caring how my personal preference of who other than Miami gets a national title makes you feel, but I'm just saying I lack caring on how it makes you feel as a Caneitis.

Now I'm hoping Georgia wins it Caneitis FYI. I threw in the towel on UM this season right after the . . . Notre Dame game.

solar, that would be an example of irony.

Tonycane

Real canes don't want anyone else to win national championships. Period. Anyone.

Solar, in early August it was 7 then it jumped
