GETTING READY TO GO VOTE!!! I DONT SEE ANY LONG LINES???

Old Skool

Wee hoo. Political commercials are over. Let the Christmas commercials begin. I've already heard Jingle Bells this morning.

Right now. I'd rather hear Enter the Sandman

myndraize

Just read a tweet from 247 sports that alex collins is decommiting, guess he doesn't want to compete with derrick green

Brian

Alex Collins just decommitted per Luke Stampini.

myndraize

Derrick Green isn't a name I've heard before. If Collins wants to go, more power to him.

LB

Are Bush and Perryman out for UVA? Crap.

Ohio_Cane

Perryman in yellow still, but no boot. Good news.

It's called motivation. Read the above. Kill the Cavaliers.

WIN.

Deon Bush in red again, no shoulder pads, not practicing.

Hadn't heard that. Hope it's correct, kid is very good.

myndraize

Derrick Green could very well choose michigan,vt doesn't seem to be selling him well ole miss seems like a fast offense oregon runs the spread and auburn looks to be really weak, why not check to see if DG would take another look

myndraize

I believe the 7th floor has a piece about the possibilty of the U getting dg and looking at a local rb

Miami RB Duke Johnson pays tribute to Sean Taylor, explains mission with simple gesture. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/um-hurricanes/fl-miami-duke-johnson-sean-taylor-1107-20121106,0,3647691.story?page=1

"“I see guys on the team that I can just tell that they don’t want it,” Johnson said. “You just never know when your last down is going to be. So I’m going to take every down like it’s my last since there’s a lot of people that take it for granted. They think football was going to be there for ever. But so did Sean."

Ethenic Sands now follows Canespace. Haven't heard that name in a while

This is serious disrespect and motivation for the 5-4 Canes and Al Golden.

Canes need to approach this game like a bowl game. Canes can go in as an underdog, win the Coastal on the road in a hostile environment, and beat a team that physically dominated them at home on national TV last year.

Another big step forward for Golden's program.

pbcfrcane13

Wow what a great article on Duke! I hope his passion will get passed on to the younger canes and future canes to be!

Jack

Beat UVA!

LB

I'm hearing that Malcolm Lewis got his medical hardship.

LB

Deon Bush out, according to Golden (as well as confirming the above about Lewis).

Ohio_Cane

Remember when U were 10 years old and the internet speak saying "Hai guize" was cool?

Ya, me neither.

For now. Wait until Jimbo gets the offer from Auburn, then we'll see what happens to every recruit they are after. :)

herbieibis

My monies on FSU.

pbcfrcane13

Ditto. R.I.P to a fellow Central alum.

j.w.

pbcfr: I don't know for sure, but I think so- he coached at an $EC school, would get to compete with $EC coaches whom I suspect he would love to beat every year (and thinks he can), and would probably get a good raise to coach at (and an unlimited $EC recruting payroll). His path to the title gets harder, but money and ego usually rule.

laquinton

Jimbo isn't leaving fsu

laquinton

Stoops to auburn tho

(Wo)Mandel's mailbag this week features this:

"Hypothetical: Miami beats Virginia this Saturday and Duke loses to Georgia Tech, locking up the ACC Coastal title for Miami. You are the Miami administrator tasked with making the decision the following week about whether to self-impose another bowl ban and remove the 'Canes from ACC contention and their first-ever Coastal crown and ACC championship game. Do you?
-- Sean Murrell, Jacksonville, Fla.

That's a toughie. First of all, I'm not a huge fan of the way Miami has handled these decisions, either last year or this year. If you think a voluntary postseason ban is merited, just do it before the year. It still counts whether the team actually becomes eligible or not. As it stands now, the 'Canes are waiting to see whether the players earn a berth, then taking it away from them. That hardly seems fair, especially this year, now that the recent players associated with Nevin Shapiro are gone. Also, I'm not privy to what the NCAA has or has not corroborated in its investigation and whether it's possibly uncovered more potential violations that have yet to be revealed.

However, based on the extent of allegations in the Yahoo! report, I do think the school is looking at a multi-year bowl ban. On the one hand, I can understand why the program might want to put that punishment in the past as soon as possible and lessen the burden on future teams. On the other, Miami has been in the ACC for eight years and has yet to reach the championship game. Do you really want to pass on that opportunity? This is not the same situation as Ohio State AD Gene Smith taking a Gator Bowl bid last year at the expense of this year's 10-0 Ohio State team. Miami has a chance to play in a BCS bowl for the first time in nine years. I say, play."

That does it, I'm convinced, take the ban, let's just blame it on Dyron Dye.

TonyCane

Technically, there are a few players still on the roster who were here when Shapiro was allegedly doing his thing.

Obama should give Miami a full NCAA pardon.
