LOL. Thats why i trust NO ANIMALS

We'll get it right this year, I would have won this year if i played by everybody else's rules lol. Let's start with offense, give me four candidates???

mi@mic@ne

Warren Sapp, University of Miami teammate (1992-1995): "He was a specimen. He looked great. He always looked great. He was tan, curly hair. He was the kind of guy you want your sister to date, because he was a nice guy. I always said that to him.

"When he was [first] there, I was a tight end in high school and I got [to Miami] as a tight end and linebacker, and they moved me over to D-line. I was real reluctant to do so. I thought I was a pretty good tight end and a pretty good athlete, but being 290 pounds, they moved me to D-line and said, 'We need you to rush the passer or you can go home.'

"So I came into the D-line room and sat down, and Dwayne Johnson walks in and says, 'What are you doing here?'

"I said, 'I’m here for your job.' So that’s how me and him had our introduction to each other. I said it jokingly, but I was there for his job."

Warren Sapp was a te in HS. I did not remember that. Why cant we find guys with motors and put them on the d line?

mi@mic@ne

It seems like to me we are looking for the wrong kind of player. We used to get athletes and put the weight on them. Why do they need to weigh 270 coming out of High School? Get a big athlete and pack the weight on him.

Dude on a Pale Horse

That was not real UMike or hassan. Both those guys know.

#34 & WWIN,

I can tell you, I hated horses. They scared the crap out of me. Then when I went through Teton National Forrest on a snowy winters day, it just kind of made sense. It turned out to be fun. I still dont trust them when they are roped up and stuff. I always think they will kick me or bite me, but they are fun to ride in the wilderness. Something primal about it.

He punted also.

I think we still do that. Just not as successfully as before. Calais Campbell and Allen Bailey come to mind. They were both good players.

It's funny that Sapp said He was linebacker, because I always viewed Him as a fat ass linebacker, who was glorified as a D-Tackle (LMAO).

SOUP

That is correct.

mi@mic@ne

Weve been getting a boat load of tes and i just question if they are athletic why not try switching them over.

To DE?

Dude on a Pale Horse

I honestly dont think D'Onofrio or Golden want a Warren Sapp for their scheme. I think they are looking for a Vince Wilfork to plug the run and a Clay Matthews to rush the QB.

Very insightful and well said. I agree 100%.

A.J. McCarron announces he’s coming back to Alabama for his senior season

We need to recruit players like him.

Montreal-Cane

Duke Johnson ‏@BrickByBrick_8

I'm gonna have fun over the break, but I still have to work hard I haven't accomplish anything yet...

And players like him too.

mi@mic@ne

My point is that all these players who put us in the top five on d in the country were nobodies coming out of hs. I remember guys like brown and sap, even wilfork kind of smallish when they were soph.

Seems to me that we want guys 300 pounds coming out of hs. I always question how athletic the big guys were. Just because a guy is big and benches more than anyone else doesnt mean hes gonna move like he needs to. So I always thought thats what we did back in the day when we were respected was to get an athletic tall guy maybe a lot underweight and then by his junior year we get him fully developed. So thats why we were always in the top five in the country on d.

Dude on a Pale Horse

Russell Maryland was another not so highly recruited guy.I think the difference between then and now was the culture at Miami. It used to be that losing was the end of the world. We developed the best players in the country not recruited the best players in the country. We also developed the best mentality for the game.

Montreal-Cane

If D'Onofrio is not the next Temple HC do you think Al will take him back?

Who should be our next DC???

canesteeler

Damn I don't post much anymore but I see mucho drama going on.

Why wouldnt he?

Dude on a Pale Horse

Gregg Williams should be our next DC.

laquinton

trying to find out d'no leaving to temple. if what #34 says is true .. two job interviews means they are trying to iron out contracts.
