If the waiting is the hardest part, then that part may finally, mercifully be over for the Miami Hurricanes. Today it was reported by multiple sources that it is very likely that the University of Miami will receive their Notice of Allegations (NOA) from the NCAA on Monday.
The news first broke early Saturday afternoon as www.caneinsider.com reported that an un-named source close to the investigation had informed them that the NOA would arrive in Coral Gables on Monday morning. That report was soon confirmed by the Associated Press, the Miami Herald and a few others in the media.
It will be interesting to see what if any formal response comes from UM on what could be one very manic Monday for the university's administration, legal team and athletic department. If in fact the NOA does arrive there is likely going to be several hectic hours digesting the report which is certain to be followed by several meetings between President Donna Shalala, Acting AD Blake James and UM compliance department staff.
The University of Miami would then have up to 90 days to contest or appeal the allegations listed in the report, a process that most legal experts who have reviewed similar cases before the NCAA Committee on Infractions (COI), consider highly likely. This process could possibly delay the actual penalty phase from being completed until May or maybe even June.
In addition to likely receipt of the NCAA NOA report on Monday it was also announced that UM would hold a press conference at 11 AM to allow three players to announce their intentions to enter the NFL draft or remain at Miami for another year. Set to meet the press are OL Seantrel Henderson, OL Brandon Linder and DL Curtis Porter, all of whom are expected to return for another season at UM.
Join us for just another manic Monday at UM to start the week.
The presser today was to help our 3 players for their nfl careers next year, which is great. They wanted to let the nfl know that they'll be puttin in the work to try to be drafted in the 1st or 2nd round come next years draft. Which also shows that AG is doing everything to give his players the best opportunities to achieve their goals, 1st and 2nd round, and players our definitely listening to him now

Va. Cane,
Bama recruits different than we do. They don't bring in 200 lB LB's and wait three years for them to get to 230, they bring men in already weighing 230 or more. Same with their O_Line. These guys are ready to play size wise but usually redshirt, something we haven't been afforded for a while. That's the biggest difference, offensive line dominance & Linebacking, plus more depth of talent.

And I still wouldn't trade DP or EJ for ANY! of their LBs. Bama just plays fundamentally sound football, Saban gets His kids to buy into the team aspect.

Yes bama recruits differant than us by recruiting the same players we're recruiting. Matt Thomas is 210, we're recruiting him and bama is recruiting him, and I could keep goin.

Rock,
Too many people are getting caught up in this bama hype, they were not that good this year, they should have lost 3 games just like us. They've had some good teams in the past but not this past season, they just played a VERY OVER RATED notre lame team. Every year the $ec has won the ship its been against a WEAK A$$ team, none of their teams compare to our 99-02 teams. $ec is MOSTLY ALL HYPE

OGV,
My main man, I'm only stating the facts. Whether we run a 3-4 or a 4-3, the fact remains, their lb's are all in the neighborhood of 6'3 245. We for years had smallish LB's with speed and got away with it. It's a new day. It's about speed and size. Golden sees that and that's why my boy M.T. is an important get and probably why Paul is gone.

As a born & raised resident of Lauderdale (Broward County). Trust me when I tell you, Cunningham is dam good but Coley is better. Coley has elite hands, speed & quickness. JC needs a redshirt year to develop. If Coley comes, he'll immediately be in the top 4 rotation. MAYBE even start IF he can block. Coley would definitely replace Dorsett as punt returner. He's REALLY GOOD...
If he doesn't come, so what. We're deep at WR & Ermon Lane will come in 2014. Lane is a Coley clone...

Paul is gone because like Finnie made a dumb choice in life.

That is Golden's task for year three and beyond. He MUST succeed and prove OGV wrong or I'm gonna be out of a lot of scallops!
And when I say scallops I MEAN scallops. We will be planning our seocnd annual:
"CANESPACE SCALLOP ROUNDUP"
This year during scallop season in Florida (July 1 -September 24) for any and all Canespacers to particpate in.
Last year we scooped and scored with NativeCane, OGV, Old Skool and a few other participants and had a blast.
Old Skool is a renowned master chef who can cook with the best of them. He cooks the FRESH harvested scallops the same day they are caught and it is a FEAST!

Master chef. LOL. If they rate chefs like football players put me down as 2 star. I'm no Willie Williams or Craig Claiborne.
Don't forget lobster season. We'll take over Gary Dunn's hotel. Feast on lobster followed by seafood benedict the next morning.

6'8 and only benching 225, 22 times, that's a sound reason to come back for your SR year and maybe why he still isn't all -ACC or an A-A. Not mad just sayin!

Not really. U have to measure the length of arms that are trying to press all that weight. Doesn't mean he's not as strong as others.
