This is a public service announcement to all college football coaches.
Here is an emergency warning: Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.
There is a frightening scenario coming to a town near you and very soon. The three-headed monster that now inhabits Coral Gables will definitely destroy you and your team before you can react.
These men are not just college coaches, they are the best of the best when it comes to recruiting. Everyone who knows college football acknowledges this. All of the other college coaches around them fear this.
So here we go with one of the best of the best:
James Coley, who served the last three seasons as offensive coordinator at Florida State, is in his first season as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Hurricanes. He joined Al Golden's staff on Jan. 24, 2013. Coley spent the previous five seasons in Tallahassee on Jimbo Fisher’s staff – all five as tight ends coach and the last three as the offensive coordinator.
As the recruiting coordinator at Florida State in 2008 and 2009, he was instrumental in the Seminoles landing back-to-back Top 10 signing classes and was also named the ACC’s top recruiter in 2010 by ESPN.com.
He spent two seasons as an offensive assistant with the Miami Dolphins under Nick Saban. While with the Dolphins, Coley worked with running backs Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown when the duo boasted the NFL’s seventh-best rushing attack.
Coley’s college coaching career began as a graduate assistant at LSU on offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher’s staff in 2003 and 2004. The Tigers won the 2003 National Championship and played in the 2004 Capital One Bowl.
Coley spent six years as a high school football coach in Miami from 1997-2002, first as quarterbacks coach from 1997-99 at Miami Senior HS, where he worked with former Hurricanes stars and current NFL standouts Andre Johnson and Roscoe Parrish.
They could go 6-7 in their last 13 ACCC games, lose in the 1st round of the ACC tourny & they're still a lock for the "big dance".
I think if the tourny started today, they would be a 3 seed. They would have to go undefeated in ACC play & win the ACC tourny to get a 1 seed. Realistically they're on track for a 2 or 3 seed.

Yeah. I'm the dumbest person on earth for now. I've learned not to lecture. I just advise & let them see for themselves. Mistakes are 1 of the most valuable things for teenagers. They have to learn from them. As Grandma Coke always says. "Bought sense is better than told sense". They're in Alabama with their mom this year. My daughter is an extremely gifted dancer. My son is a 5'7 combo guard for his middle school. He's averaging 13 pts, 3 assists. Hopefully he's the future point guard for the "U". He loves the canes like me & my whole family. He called me after we smashed Duke & was so excited. Everyone up in 'Bama was telling him Duke was going to put us in our place. He said his family hates on him up there because he's a canes fan. I was so proud listening to him talk shyt to his family in the background on the phone. I was like dam he talks shyt just like me. I FUKKIN LOVED IT! Lol!

Barry Jackson:
### Recruiting analyst Charles Fishbein said he believes Miami’s hiring of former FSU assistant James Coley as offensive coordinator has elevated UM from an underdog to the favorite to land Booker T. Washington linebacker Matthew Thomas and offensive tackle Denver Kirkland, rated among the top 10 nationally at their positions. “Thomas’ best relationship is with Coley,” Fishbein said. Fishbein favors Arkansas in the battle for elite running back Alex Collins, but UM believes it has a strong chance.
### The UM basketball team’s defense has improved markedly since Jim Larranaga replaced Frank Haith, and people around the program view Larranaga’s philosophy and teaching skills as a big reason, combined with the staff’s ability to develop players.
Haith often was willing to concede open three-pointers (Larranaga isn’t) and played far more zone than Larranaga. Comparing Haith’s final UM team (2010-11) to this UM team, the difference is dramatic: UM has risen from 163rd to 30th in scoring defense this season (nine points a game less), 83rd to 8th in field-goal percentage allowed this season (an impressive 36.9) and 226th to 47th in three-point percentage defense.

Co - funny thing - as they get older you will become smarter. It takes until they are about 20 though. Honestly, she was never home much the last year with 2 jobs and school - just long enough to make a mess LOL so when she moved out it was ok. She lives close by, has a really nice apartment has 2 jobs and probably starts classes again in May. I am definitely looking forward to this next chapter in my life.

BTW Co - good that you have them in athletic activities - makes everything better - especially for them.

Just saw a report that Keith Bryant is down to FSU AND SCar. I'm not shocked and like we've said, he's got an attitude.
86- you and I had this discussion at WWOS... Can't say I'm disappointed.

Yes we did and I remember your assessment and opinion of him. In recruiting, like love and war, anything is possible, but him going to The U seems less likely as time goes by. But I agree with U, he seems like an FSU fit better than at UM. He is a talent no doubt but I'd rather let da Noles "manage" the baggage he brings.
