Willie Will thanks for letting us know about Corn Elder.

For people that don't know,

Canespace makes dreams come true. Canespace made Corn Elder's dream come true today!!!!

86Cane

WWIN...U nailed this one (Corn Elder) but let me tell U a little story that U will not believe, because if U were not there then U will have to rely on my witnesses and there were many:

U could only wish to be at the "Party on the Patio" at the The Hampton Inn when Mr. Miller shows up. We are drinking (heavily) and dining on pizza (OGV is drooling) when he tells us some old time Hurricane stories and about how Ricky Town wants to be a Cane.

We literally talk for hours until we are all fat, happy and tired. And we all left with MUCH respect for Mr. Miller and QB Ricky Town, a future Hurricane. That is ALL I will say about that...but there is so much more.

Love U bro, WE did this!

So many stories, so little time.

Ya' know, watching Shane Larkins tonight, it finally dawned on me, He reminds me of Mahmoud Abdul Raouf!
For those of ya'll that don't know, or remember who Rauf was, He was formerly known as Chris Jackson at LSU, played with Shaq in the late 80s.

Canespace ate two of my post...oh well

Harry Miller

Thank you 86Cane for the compliment. Don't forget that OGV is going to give me $500 if No-d is definsive coach of the year in the ACC..Probably wont happen but it could with the players we have returning. I have read every single blog since that fun night. It was worth the 3600 mile trip just to see some of the people on this blog. It was a fun and intertaining night. Ill be back.

SOUP, this kid was at tonight's game at FSU. Even with ONE! hand, He's one of the BEST! players in the State:

If only EVERYBODY could say that!

Canespace is such a BLAST when it works right.

Nice win by the 'Canes tonight. This is the type of game they would have lost a year or two ago (especially under Haith)

I would love to see the 'Canes be the #1 team for a week or two etc. I know everyone wants them to be a #1seed in the Tourney. But with that seed comes a lot of pressure. Less pressure as a #2 seed. Plus if you do not win the Tourney no ones ever remembers what # seed you were. But people will remember when you were the #1 team in the country for the week(s)

86, great time catching up however briefly as always my friend, glad to see The Pimp keep strutting in person.

Tonight, great win on the road against a crowd that was desperate for something to sink their teeth into. Always nice when you can play something a far cry from your best game and still find a way to grind out a win in your opponents preferred style of game. The Pimp actually asked his players with FSU within a single possession what they wanted to do about FSU's offense (I think, this is all gathered from lip reading) and Larkin and Johnson started pitching ideas at him mid-TO, whatever they all decided on obviously worked judging by the final score. If Kadji doesn't no-show on offense tonight this game wasn't close but as it was, nice to see Jekiri, Swoope, and Brown play significant minutes and have a hand in a big win. The Pimp is about to have a really nice problem with four good to serviceable bigs to play and only two court spots to be filled.

My only question on the new, new signing, how in the world did he just slip through the cracks like that? A major prospect from a metro area the size of Nashville and nobody got his ink last week?

WWIN

LOL. Love u too bruh!! I still can't believe the way we made it happen today. I think u need to post a timeline of it

LB

"Canes fans LOVE that player."

Add me in at least the top 2 of that crew. It's Town or BUST in 2015.

Despite mistakes, the Canes knocked off the Noles. This is a wonderful team with room to improve.

BETWEEN U AND ME ...IT IS. CAN U ASK ELDER HOW HE FEELS ABOUT BLACK SOCKS?

Old Skool

This has to be the wackiest homer angle to a basketball story I've read in a while. The writer references the what-if of Shane Larkin having committed to FSU rather than Miami.

http://www.tampabay.com/sports/basketball/college/miami-fights-off-fsu/1275199

Boy is that a slippery slope. who is the coach of FSU again. What if Michael Jordan hadn't sung his Washington Wizards siren song. What if Nevin was an FIU fan. What if the asteroid sped up by 15 minutes.

86Cane

OGV...U know it buddy! I gotta give U credit, at least U are willing to drive 3 hours each way just to see your Canes play. That is a REAL fan.

New blog tonight with photos and all from the BIG win in Tally. First work in Tally then drive 5 hours to get home to the CCC.

Me so tired...

86Cane

Ohio...U got this? Remember to check the spam filter every now and then.

LB

Alin Edouard just committed, QB for 2014. He's a dual threat. I'm a little confused on this one.

Coley whispered something about being pro, but multiple. He also said the spread...

...?

TJL

Yes LB, another head scratcher like a DB coaching running backs

Does this mean were not recruiting Q Flowers from Jackson or
"little ice" from Booker T (aka FSU's feeder school)

LB

At least Brown has been around the program enough to garner the position. Furthermore, he has perhaps one of the top 5 tailback crews (talent-wise) in the country with Duke, Dallas, Dillard, Lewis, and now Elder.

A lot of folks are going to yell about his lack of high profile offers (Ole Miss, FIU, ULL, Appalachian St.., etc.).

Nobody seems to have a clue on how tall he is... I've seen everything from 6'1" (ESPN) to near 6'3" (the Herald).

Pros: Good touch. Good reads. Good zip. Descent accuracy.
Cons: Likes to run way too much.

Is this indicative of a spread-style offense? If so, me no like. Give me the Stephen Morris/Kevin Olsen/Ricky Town whose first instinct is to chuck the pig, over the injury-prone Vick.

LB

He has decent feet, too (when he plants to pass).

Elder to delay decision
One of the most electric prospects in the country will not sign on Wednesday...

The University of Miami's 2013 recruiting class just got a whole lot stronger today with the addition of four-star running back Corn Elder.

Elder is a winner first of all. He has won three state championships on the football field and he will take that winning attitude with him to college. As a running back, he is extremely slippery. He is tough to tackle, he is tough to get a big hit on, and he is a threat to make a big play any time he touches the football. He is very quick, he is shifty, and he can catch the ball out of the backfield. He is a tough player too. - Chad Simmons

WELCOME TO THE U!
Another playmaker.....needs to bulk up some.

LB

Heh... here's how bad the ACC is:

Pittsburgh has won more games in series against every team in the ACC except Wake Forest (because they haven't played), Virginia Tech (Hokies 7-5), North Carolina (5-3), Maryland (3-3), and UM (Canes up 22-9-1).

They even lead series against the Noles 5-3.

Reporting for duty, sir!

Ohio_Cane

Alin Eduoard - Edouard has been a hot topic for most Canes fans recently, and lot of fans have been tweeting at him. Edouard had one message for them.

“Since I committed I want to tell them that I’m gonna stay loyal to the Canes and that there is more 2014 prospects out there and I’ll probably bring some in.”

Ohio_Cane

That's from Tito Benach ^^^

JCane

There were also rumors that Corn was considering b-ball over football, but I'm not one of those with any inside info.... :)

Ohio_Cane

Champagnat Catholic Safety Michael Johnson (6’2”, 190) is waiting on an offer from Canes.

“They told me they’re not really big on just throwing offers out there like that so I’m just gonna be patient with it because I’m gonna get it sooner or later. If
Miami offers me, I’m gonna commit and I’m not going to any other school.”

2014 Safety Kiy Hester (6'2, 200) from St. Joseph's in Montvale, NJ is one of our top targets for next year.

Edouard could end up being a a really good CB. Kid is 6'2, runs a 4.6 40 and looks more built to be a CB rather than be a QB. Tall, fast CB's are a premium. I could see another AJ highsmith type.

NO RUMOR, he wanted to be a CANE that's a fact. I've told yall this since last year. How do I know? Because he told me face to face out of his mouth.

True that, but still, Bridgewater running the spread in HS, didn't stop Him from excelling at the College level. Regardless of the praise that Golden gives to the "Pro-Style" QB, at the end of the day, Golden's gonna allow Coley to run what it takes to win. And I like the Edouard kid, He looks "Kaepernickish".

I could see the kid play CB eventually, looks more of a Sam Shields type of guy.

WWIN

Zilla,

I'll ask him

Ohio_Cane

Willie, any truth to the rumor Corn is thinking about going Bball only?

I read its not true and he's playing football, but ur closer to him than anyone I talk to

Maybe, but just judging by AE's HLs, He can throw the HELL! out the ball. If He puts about 10 more pounds of muscle on, things will get interesting on Green-Tree in 2014.
