I felt the same way about Shula in 1995. I think Jimmy had the desire the first two years, but lost interest after the 1997 season. It's a very demanding job.
I think that both circumstances (Fluker) are distinct possiblities. At least it will get folks asking questions about the $EC. That's better than the continual god worship without repercussions.
In 3 years of playing big boy football in Dade County, Yearby has carried the ball over 500 times for 3800+ yards and 50 TDs. Yearby is the only underclassmen in Dade County history to rush for over 2000 yards in a season. This kid is durable and productive.
There are other RBs in S FL that get more attention and hype, but they do not have the durability and production that Yearby has had the last three years. He can be a workhorse back, he can split carries, and he can work out of the wild****. No matter what he does, he always produces.
There are no shady stories about Yearby. No fat siblings looking to tag along, no kin offering his services to the highest bidder, no assistant HS corches running their mouths to internet trolls. All I read and hear about Yearby is his production, durability, and vision.
I SMH at myself for overlooking this kid before this cycle started. Yearby is consistently productive, durable, and he wants to be a Miami Hurricane. Let's show this kid some love and stop worrying about kids that dont want to put on for their city.
### UM appreciates that former UM assistant equipment manager Sean Allen, who was manipulated and mistreated by the NCAA during the UM investigation, has done all he could to help UM’s case in recent weeks. It speaks well of Allen that he has gone out of his way to assist.
Allen, who filed a Florida bar complaint against Nevin Shapiro’s attorney several weeks ago, has given UM some key evidence – including then-NCAA investigator Ameen Najjar’s letter on behalf of Shapiro to Shapiro's sentencing judge, and e-mail exchanges that showed Najjar’s successor (Stephanie Hannah) was doing what Najjar did -- collaborating with Shapiro’s attorney to try to use depositions to obtain more information to incriminate UM, even though the NCAA now acknowledges it had no business doing that.
“Allen felt obligated to inform the university when he came across documentation that he believed should have been included in the Cadwalader Report,” UM said in its motion to dismiss the case. “Allen stated that while the enforcement staff consistently acted in what he believed to be an underhanded and manipulative manner, the university acted above aboard.”
Good day folks, finally back to normal after a long softball weekend, playing with the elk yesterday (and getting paid for it!), and all the other stuff. I haven't seen anything from Larkin yet, anyone heard?
It's difficult to resist the pull of the $EC... in this case, perhaps impossible. But please remember it is an unproven recruit. Defense is much more important.
Sony to UGA..I still think this will hurt..not from a depht stand point because I think it may actually help with Cook, but from a "we cant keep top players home" stand point. We cannot continue to lose out on top local recruits to the $EC..especially ones who have visited campus a 100 times and has been a lifelong Cane fan who Miami has recruited since 8th grade..you simply cant lose those battles. The $EC now knows, if they didnt already, they can come to South Florida and pick the top player at will.
CaneRock..while I understand that point..we still got to do something lol...This kid and his family are life long Canes fans. His family was him to be close, and he wants them to be able to see him play. He has visit Miami probably 3 times more than he has visited UGA and Miami has been recruiting him since 8th grade and some how we may STILL not get him lol..Between the money and gifts the $EC can afford (and get away with) and the media hype of the SEC, it may be impossible to get back to the top.
How about this? One of you guys set up a Ponzi scheme, get arrested and thrown into prison... Then you can call the NCAA and rat on UGA (Sony). They'll believe you!
Man some people are just so sad lol..I NEVER post at the Herald...I truly with you pussies would just man up and say who you are. I'm sick and tired of hearing about UM players who are STUPID enough to get caught...!! That's right...all student athletes at all colleges do things, but UM'S ATHLETES AREN'T TOO BRIGHT, are they?

Via CI...doesn't say He's going to UGA, but interesting nonetheless:
The first day of spring practice at the University of Massachusetts football team has come and gone, and three players who started games last season for Charley Molnar's squad have been removed from the team's roster.
As first reported Monday night by multiple outlets, wide receiver Marken Michel and offensive linemen Jamie Casselberry and Michael Boland have all left the football team, Molnar confirmed after Tuesday's opening practice.
Michel's departure is shrouded in some mystery. The junior receiver's brother, Sony, is a five-star running back recruit out of Plantation, Fla. Rumors are circulating that there has been impermissible contact between Marken and potential suitors for Sony, to try to bring the duo in as a package. Sony holds offers from nearly all the major programs in the southeast such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and South Carolina, according to Rivals.
A phone call to Sony Michel was not immediately returned, and Molnar declined to comment on the matter.
Michel started just six games in 2012 due to injury, making 28 catches for 229 yards.
Casselberry and Boland both had issues with head injuries during last season, and have decided not to continue playing football, according to Molnar. Both are still enrolled at UMass.
"By their own decision, due to health concerns, both decided playing football was not in their best interest," Molnar said.
The losses of Boland and Casselberry leave the Minutemen with just three offensive linemen that started a game last season in Anthony Dima, Al Leneus and Matt Sparks.
