TJL---- That's what im talking about!

Ohio_Cane

Anyone watch the friendly between Man City and Chelsea last night at St. Louis Cards baseball stadium?

I got it dvr'd

UpNorthCane27

Ohio I missed it!!! now that Mancini is gone from Manhester City im going to enjoy Pellegrini as their new coach you will see a more polished accurate and attack/passing style from them...

I hate Chelsea and hate them even more now that Mourinho is going back to them.

Ohio_Cane

I don't "hate" any of them, really. Always was more of a Man U fan tho. Mostly because of Beckham and Ryan Giggs.

Old Skool

Terrell Brown, a former Ole Miss lineman came into St. Louis camp and got weighed in. The results: "6'10", 403.

UpNorthCane27

yea hate is a little to much but mourinho is such an a****** and caused to much unnecessary drama. But I have great respect for Man U because although they've always been a big club and signed stars they always gave opportunities to their young club players coming up through the youth system.

LB

Someone confirm.

Since you asked longtime;

"Given the # of underclassmen that will be playing big roles this year it's really hard to figure how the season will turn out. To be fair, I'd say we're a 5-7 team at the start that could grow to be 7-5 by seasons end. The good news, with lots of returning players next season looks much more promising. But for this year, sit back and watch the future unfold. Commented Aug 26, 2012"

Get your lottery numbers from this man and hope he's gotten a lot worse at being right about the teams record in '13. Or just start throwing out replacement names for a coach that knows what he's doing and doesn't need to have his college roomie attached at the hip for the rest of his life.

AP has learned NCAA wants to talk with Miami football player Dyron Dye next week, at least his 3rd interview in Shapirogate. Link soon.

Borussia Dortmund!!! they eliminated my hated rival (real Madrid) and they play against those Bavarians that eliminated my team (Barcelona).

But I also like Borussia's game they attack well and defend as a unit non stop pressure.

Posted by: UpNorthCane | May 24, 2013 at 12:32 PM

don't like either but it was only a matter of time before german teams started being dominant. Their league is built the right way and the rest of europe will have to try and model it or die finacially. Hope Dortmund win, like the forward they have but you have to think it is Bayern's year after hammering Barcelona. Go Canes!

UpNorthCane27

USAF u hit it on the nail bro... German soccer is built correctly and built for success just like Barcelona because of the emphasis on the youth system. German Soccer is also reaping the benefits of having the best economy in Europe.

The herb needs to know that former highly touted recruit Delvin is a true junior who was listed last year at 6'5" 282 and they claimed gained 17 pounds between being a freshman backup and sophomore starter, but what he did there I don't recall much of anything off a team that barely qualified for a bowl.

Dyron Dye, the bust that keeps on giving because nobody will just not renew his scholarship at UM in fear he'll have a reason to talk to the NCAA out of anger instead of requirement.

TJL

The Machine won't talk!

Me? I go with Liverpool without the cannibal

UpNorthCane27

TJL in the Premier league i root for liverpool and west ham..... And i actuay love Suarez he has a short temper and does weong things but his skill is ridiculous...

VfB_Cane

Ah, great to see some soccer talk @ CaneSpace ...

Hope Dortmund can repeat their performance from last year's German cup final, where they beat Bayern 5-2.
This year's final is Bayern vs. VfB Stuttgart, next Saturday. If you don't care about soccer, this is like our Canes facing the Gators in a bowl game. Bayern or the Gators, can't decide which is worse.
Go Canes! (and Go VfB!, of cause.)

Hassan

6'10 with a 92 " wingspan for Brown, the man would have the 2nd biggest wingspan in the NBA right now, almost as big then the 7'2 guy that just was measured at the combine.

403 is a lot of weight, he weight 388 recently at his proday lol

Compare that to guys like Mount Mckinnie who is a legit 6'9 and his peak weight I believe has been nearly 400 lbs. Mckinnie has a 94" wingspan, He best playing weight has been 335-340 in college and in the NFL around 350.

Seantrel is 6'7 and change and has been as heavy as 380 and plays his best around 335. his wingspan is 86 inches as measured in HS could have grown a couple since.

BTW-Belguim has a lot of young guys with great upside

OGV...LOL, you are the man!! Tks for finding that prediction. Lord knows sometimes I do get lucky!! Sure isn't with lottery picks though...

I'm staying with 8-4 this year, leaving some room for injuries and lack of depth. One step closer we grow to becoming the 'canes of old.

missed giving the credit on my post, tks to OGV for finding the old prediction....

SOUP

OGV...U crack me up sometimes dude!

SOUP

OK, here it is:

1. Anybody saying 8-4 THIS year just to play it "safe" better re-examine your facts and motives.

2. Anybody predicting 8-4 for 2014 better get your head examined.

There is not a single coach or player at UM that would predict, anticipate or accept 8-4 over the next TWO years. Not a SINGLE one! So why would U?

Soup,

I gotta call it as I see it and keep it real...

1. No D....nuff said...the worst in college football last year. The best teams have solid D. Figure 2 seasons to fix this.

2. No Depth at D Line, QB, RB, or LB....anyone out means no experience at that spot. Give Al some time, he'll get this fixed. Just not going to be this year.

3. Florida, Fl State, Va Tech are just better teams....all ranked way ahead of us last year and probably will be this year. Al will also get this fixed...

4. And somewhere along the way we'll stumble and give one away...just the nature of college football. Not much Al can do here.

5. Morris...our season depends on him playing 12 games at his best. A lot to ask of anyone, esp 20 years old...any injury or off day costs us a game.....

6. I'm a realist. I set expectations for us to meet that will lead to success in the years ahead. The great teams of the 80's, and the 2000's were built over the worst of times to become champions. We haven't learned how to "win" yet. Give Al a chance, he'll get us to the promised land.

7. Just because we finish 8-4 doesn't mean we're not a better team than last year. Morris leaves after this season, and our new QB will be who? with how much experience to start the 2014 season? Not even Dorsey won it all his first year.

8. Means 2014 is the load up and get ready season. Experience, depth, talent and coaching will be perfected, new QB comes of age, and the stars will be ready to align. I still say 8-4, but it's a team that's ready to tangle with the best of them. Ya gotta learn the hard way how to win the tough ones.

9. 2015....If Al gets it done we're going to be in the top 10, and with luck it's BCS time.

FYI, I was attending the U back in '72 when they first adopted the "U" logo. I've seen it all.........

For everyone predicting better records, I sure would like to see you be right!

As for the lottery, well I still have my day job....LOL!!

The Dude

Vs. FAU W better win
Vs. Florida ? key game of season
Vs. Savannah St W 100% victory
@ USF W better win
Vs. Georgia Tech W likely win
@ N. Carolina W likely win
Vs. Wake Forest W better win
@ Florida St. ? they lost a ton, tough game
Vs. Virginia Tech ? which Tech shows up?
@ Duke W better win
Vs. Virginia W BETTER WIN
@ Pittsburg W better win

After VTech, we better win out. If not, it means this isnt working. We just need to beat everyone we should.

The Dude

I swear if the only game we lose next year is to Virginia I'm gonna be so pissed. lol, I hate those guys right now.

The Dude

Its freaking personal now.

The Dude

If we ony win 7 games, its time to call up Butch and give him a shot to develop Golden's kids.

Canes have scored 1 run in 17 innings the last 2 days. Good lord...

I'm not a baseball guy at all.

But seriously, the baseball program needs to be wiped and rebooted.

Posted by: LB | May 24, 2013 at 02:45 PM

Jim Morris has been destoying the excellent baseball program at UM for the last 5 years. We can be the most positive and supportive Canes fans but this is enough. No longer a fan until the U hires a younger, hungrier, smarter coach who is a great recruiter in this new era of college baseball. What was the total attendance in 2008? How about the last couple of years??? No longer a fan until we get major changes...Life is short, play hard!

Blake James new challenge restore the baseball program with the help of better coaches and recruiters...
