:::::::::
Anybody still think there's ZERO chance the case is dismissed or we don't come to any settlement this week? Still not likely, but Donna's in an awfully good mood.

herbieibis

Donna was in a good mood when she to took that check from Nevin, too! If The Herb may be so bold to say, that ship reductions will be more in the 10 range but in a three year period, which is basically 3 and some change for 3 years.

InbredBilly

As a Canes fan, the Herb should understand the picture of Donna with the check in context of what happened that night in that event.

Our enemies love to use that against us but it means nothing and proves nothing.

CoCane

Herb,

So what? He donated a big check to the school. What school president wouldn't be happy? No one knew he was running a ponzi scheme yet. That pic means nothing...

orange 'n green in the vein

Yeah, there's more like a 1% chance of an outright dismissal of this case.

Infinitely more likely than UMike's 0% chance.

herbieibis

Relax guys, the Herb was only joshing. I would of took the bread too and showed the grill for all the world to see!

Old Skool

Shslala could kick Gordon Gee's butt.

My guess is 15 schollys total taken. So my guess we will have 80 scholarship players allowed for the 2014, 2015, and 2016 seasons. I hope it's more in line with what Soup said earlier. Go Canes.

TonyCane

UFC Main Event this weekend: Shalala vs Emmert.

How quickly does she make Emmert tap out?

orange 'n green in the vein

Hey look everybody! It's Lebron James and he finally made the trip to San Antonio just in time for a must win game four of the finals!

SOUP

Lebron Who? Name sounds familiar, can't place it? C'mon HEAT, make Vegas, I mean us PROUD!

Sarasota 'cane

Holy redneck hurricane! The storm that just blew through Atlanta knocked out the trees, power, roads etc. Heat game on a cell phone is better than nothing.

Go canes!

Sarasota 'cane

The NBA is so frickin' rigged!

SOUP

Dear Mr. RaizeCane:

The Heat wins by 16 points.

PAY ME MY MONEY!!!

SOUP

The NBA is so frickin' rigged!

NOW you are figuring this out? LOL

I told Raize the Heat would win by 10 or more. What happened? Heat win by 16.

CASE CLOSED!

SOUP

MIAMI (AP) — Authorities say an outdoor deck behind a popular Miami-area sports bar has collapsed during the NBA Finals, sending dozens of patrons into the shallow waters of Biscayne Bay and critically injuring three people.

The Miami Herald reports that the accident occurred around 9:45 p.m. at Shucker's Bar & Grill as customers were watching the Miami Heat play the San Antonio Spurs.

WSVN-TV reports that 24 people were injured, three critically. There were as many as 100 people on the deck at the time. Customers fell into several feet of water from the deck of the sports bar, which is located in North Bay Village, north of Miami Beach.

NBC6 reports that Miami-Dade Fire rescue divers are on the scene.

Ohio_Cane

If U are gonna say the NBA is rigged, don't stop there. Talk about the NFL too

SOUP

Ohio...the NBA is rigged more than ANY other sport. Plus Raize owes me $10.

That is all.

Sarasota 'cane

All refs can have an effect on outcome, but the NBA is a lot easier to manipulate. Fewer variables.
This series is simply the Indiana series with different uniforms. The same refs are on the court when the Heat get blown out against San Antonio as were on the court when the Heat got blown out by Indiana.
The only saving grace for me this season is it appears that the league wants the Heat to win it all in 7.

Canesfan _1

No offense to anyone, but I don't believe the NBA is rigged at all.

There's no proof at all. I'm not trying to start anything, I'm just saying that there's nothing to indicate that other than some hunches. Again, no offense, just expressing my opinion.

Sarasota 'cane

It's easily manipulated to produce a desired outcome. I'm not saying there is a conspiracy to throw the games, but the league can put different refs into different situations knowing that their style can produce a desired result.
It's just not as much fun to watch this series as it was for me to watch Magic, Bird, Michael, etc. On the other hand I think the NFL product has gotten better over the same period. Just my opinion.

Terrance Sullivan

Wade James and Bosh showed up tonight. I agree with Soup looks like its going 7. Who knows who wins it all. I guess Miami in 7. Go Canes.

Ohio_Cane

Prayers to the critically injured in the bar accident.

CoCane

The NBA is so obviously rigged, you're either naive or dum if you can't see it. If Wade is really as hurt as they say he is, there's NO WAY he could've displayed the athleticism that he showed tonight. Saying he's hurt before the playoffs is the perfect excuse to allow the Heat to point shave. When the Heat play hard, they run people out of the gym. If they played hard all the time, there would be no suspense. The NBA need high ratings in the playoffs to compete with the NFL. The Heat is hated by so many, everyone will tune in if they think there's a chance they could lose. All of the analyst agree. The Heat play hard "when they want to". That's a hint. It's like pro wrestling. Those stunts are really dangerous but the outcome is still scripted...

Mia Chi 'Cane '98

The NBA is like the old WWF or now WWE. It is the only major sport that is entertainment versus actual sport. To me the NBA is entertainment and not a spirt. The league wants a certain outcome like the WWE. It is just not scripted like the WWE but the NBA can manipulate the outcome.

David Stern is the biggest conspirator. I can't wait until he retires. i am not sure whonis worse him or Emmert? Why isn't the actual NBA lottery televised? Coincidence that Knicks get Ewing? Magic got Shaq & Penny? Bulls got Rose? Or Cleveland got the #1 pick this year???

I'm from Chicago and do not tell me Jordan wanted to retire in 1993. Another conspiracy...

Sarasota 'cane

That's straight conspiracy CoCane. I don't believe that the players are in collusion with the league.

Mia Chi 'Cane '98

I do not think the players are involved at all. But why change refs every game in a playoff series? Baseball does not. And NBA refs SUCK! I think hockey refs might change every game but those guys are actually are good refs and there is a central office in regards to replays.

Sarasota 'cane

Jordan was allowed to retire because of some serious gambling issue according to rumor at the time. Whatever the deal was it was believed that had it come to light it would have devastated the entire league. Betting on games maybe? We'll never know...

CoCane

Headline for Sportcenter. The Heat flip the "SCRIPT"...

Hmmm...

Mia Chi 'Cane '98

It is a shame when fans know the NBA refs names as well as some of superstars in the league. That tells you something.

I think hockey refs a great but I bet you cant name one. I can't but I do know the notorious refs in the NBA.

Yes, Jordan was "forced" to retire due to some gambling issue.

The Dude

NBA rigged? Well they've had corruption in the past. They claimed "rogue ref." I don't buy that it was only 1 ref. That being said I don't think the Commish is calling in and telling the refs to fix games. It is far and away easily the worst officiated sport. Part of the problem is Charging/Blocking. It happens too much. Its too much of a 50/50 call, like pass interference. Also there is no consistancy in what refs will allow to be "game on" and what will be a foul. Some refs could do that to shave points for money on the side but I don't believe for a single second that the NBA is in on it. They don't need to.
