Per Thread Killa @ 247..

Keepin' 'em close, Dumbo Fisher camp updates

Only porsting stuff about the recruits on our board.

Day 1

-DT Thomas Holley was at the camp yesterday but did not participate. Holley and his family toured the campus and hung around the camp a couple of hours. The Holleys will be in Gainesville today and The Gables tomorrow.

-2015 DB Kendrell McFadden has good size at 6-2 175 but struggled yesterday. McFadden does not have the speed to play corner and he tried to make up for that by being physical at the line. That works in camp, but not in a real game. McFadden did a lot of work on the side with Mario Edwards Sr., with his footwork and hand placement. McFadden will likely still be recruited by FSU, but he isn't as high on the board as he was before based on this performance.

Day 2

-Day 2 started at 0930 EST.
-Tyre Brady in attendance, but not participating which is rustling some jimmies
-Other recruits expected to attend: Jojo Robinson, CJ Worton, Alin Edouard, Ermon Lane, Corey Martinez, Adam Torres, Mike Smith, Michael Johnson, and Tyrek Cole.

Ermon Lane Tidbits From A UFag Insider

As always, this info should be TFWIW.

Porster by the name of JHova7 on Gatorbait is a S FL guy with access to Lane and other S FL kids.

This info will rustle your jimmies. If you can't handle it, don't look below..

-Says Miami is only mentioned by Lane out of respect for Barrow
-Says Lane will decide between Alabama and Florida
-Says Lane will take fun trips to USC, LSU, and Florida St.
-Says Lane will try to graduate early and be an EE
-Says Florida leads and is pulling away daily
-Says as long as Florida keeps doing what they're doing, this will be over in the summer, he'll be committed and no visits

"I'm a believer, I couldn't leave her if I tried."

UMike

lol SOUP..IMO, Lane is a Bama "lean"..just passing along information I found lol

UMike

On the heels of two scholarship offers to highly regarded eighth grade prospects from top Division I programs, an SEC school blew them both out of the water by handing out a scholarship to a seventh grade defensive back.

This is not a headline from The Onion, it really happened. Seventh grade. 13. Class of 2018. College recruiting is now officially absurd.

The player in question is young (by definition) Jairus Brents, a hard working (for a middle schooler) defensive back and running back from Indiana, where he plays for New Albany (Ind.) Hazelwood Middle School. He will still be playing for Hazelwood Middle School in the 2013 season because he’s still in middle school.

Brents received his first scholarship offer on Thursday when the University of Kentucky extended the teen a verbal offer for when he graduates some six years from now. The news of Brents’ commitment was first reported by ESPN

SOUP

UMike...from what I have read it looks like Bama for Lane. First I hear about UF but I like this part about him going to UF:

"Says as long as Florida keeps doing what they're doing, this will be over in the summer, he'll be committed and no visits."

Uh-hu, oh yeah. Roll Tide!

UMike

SOUP..I agree..I think a lot of that is BS from a big headed fan..I think Lane and Jackson end up at Alabama

UMike

I also wonder if all these offers lately to WR's and what seems like a push for WR's is due in part because the staff knows Lane isn't an option.

My guess of what the NCAA is going to do to us is give us very minimal scolly reduction for football, but will hammer us in basketball, which it would be fine by me......this football team is going to be something special.

Canesfan _1

Not logical. They've got way less on basketball than football.

Nice film clips, great stuff. Wont be long folks. I go dormant after college and pro football. I can watch some hoops, hockey, even golf to a point, but after a while its old.

Donna lighting some azz up huh? She is a small but smart lady. I think we come out ok.

Getting my guys ready, we are conditioning and doing the basics to perfection. As usual, we will be in incredible shape, and fundamentally sound. I have a great bunch this fall.

I read comments all the time, just been kind of quiet. Keep up the great info and posts this place is the best!

Actually they have more physical evidence against basketball....they do have Haith's bank statements. Football they have nothing except photo's....the little scumbag says he has receipts....all that proofs is he liked to have a good time with all the thousands of dollars he stole from people

Ricky Town, Arrion Springs, and Darrion Owens tidbits

-There is growing speculation that Town will head east for college with Alabama, Texas, and Georgia standing out right now. Town's family feels Georgia is a perfect fit scheme wise.

-Springs has gone back and forth between Miami, Oregon, and Texas. While an offer from Florida St. gave him something to think about, Springs appears set on going OOS for college with Oregon having the inside track. An announcement in July is possible.

-Owens will be choosing between Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and Taint. Owens is scheduled to visit Miami next weekend. Georgia is thought to be in very good position heading into his Miami visit.

What does everybody give The Don grade wise how she handled this entire thing? I think she was as close to A, A+, 95-97% with no curve right as you could hope to get with it, despite the whole case fallout not being settled yet by a long shot possibly.

If it drags out into court though that could easily be revised downward in a moment's notice.

Incomplete so far, OGV. I thought the way former players were kicked off of campus if they didn't cooperate was atrocious, and was one of the dissenters when UM was cooperating so much and taking a second bowl ban(rememeber my rant about trying to make a deal with the devil? :)) And I stand by that, taking that second ban doesn't help our argument that most of Shapiro's claims were fabricated.
She rallyed well with the response to the Perez nonsense, and finally responded with the middle finger of all middle fingers with UM's response to the NOA. That was well-played and she hit a homerun with that one. I just hope she didn't over-play her hand with some of the leaks that came out after our response; knocking them to their knees is one thing, backing them into a corner where they have no choice but to fight back harder is another. I think with the latest Barry Jackson column she did hit the mark, as now she is being portrayed as reluctant to sue the NCAA, where just one month ago it was a virtual certainty. And if this works, it was genius.
I''ll judge her fairly and completely when we see what the punishment is. And I'll revise it if we choose to file a lawsuit after the punishment.

Tyre Brady committed to Kentucky. Everyone figured as much after Langham committed to Canes

SOUP

What the HECK is going on at KY? They are all of a sudden getting players they could NEVER get by the dozens? And don't tell me it because of their new head coach, it is STILL Ken-friggin-tucky!

j.w.

Soup, Kentucky is the cool school right now, new coach who hasn't lost a game, did well as an assistant, and can promise the world to these kids. I think he'll do well in recruiting but not this well, tons of these kids end up elsewhere when they realize it's still Kentucky and they're still going to suck.
