LB

Another linebacker, defensive tackle, and a running back and we're DONE. The rest is just ice.

Just wait, if UM wins an ACC title... many of the $EC leans are going to kick their own rear ends and beg Al for a spot. This is a position of strength that UM hasn't had in a long time. These are dudes who really want to be Canes and that is extremely good for the long-term health of the program.

Also, getting full fast will weed out the Keefs.

Quick Hits:

- I'm still hoping big things from Malcolm Lewis.
- Upon review of the scrimmage, I'll bet Morris is glad to have as good a line as he has. Ryan Williams (!) and crew are far behind due to lack of game time.
- Perryman is getting shafted for every major preseason award. Somehow, I think this is a good thing.
- FSU still sucks.

Question for the space at large:
How good is the placekicker?

AG just keeps rolling along. The more "D" the better, esp on the line and LB.

Going to be a few more years, but the pieces are falling into place. A good season in 2013 and the rest of the spots will fill in.

Fear the Tie.......

I'm kind of surprised we landed Harris...I thought he might spurn us...but lets not say we stole a Florida recruit. He is just trying to save face cause he missed out by a day to commit to the Gators...he tried to play the recruiting game, and it bit him in the ass...people say he visited FNL, n he didnt cause he wanted to commit while there and when he couldn't, he changed his mind....this kid wanted to go to Florida...we were his fall backjust my opinion..

UMike

Dee..Florida has only 1 DE commit and he is a 3-Star and rated lower than Harris. I think Gator fans are trying to sell the idea of him not having a spot. And as mentioned earlier, Harris named Miami a leader previously. Either way..I don't mind lol...Florida only has 12 commits...I am sure they have room lol..Doesnt matter to me through. He is obviously someone Miami and Florida wanted, and he will end up at Miami..good enough for me lol

Another defensive lineman? Count me in. Golden is not screwing around. Get on board or get the eff out of the way. No Keefin' in 2014.

I'm with you but as soon as we stumble on defense the boo birds will be out in full force. All the positive news on defense the last few weeks won't have an impact for another 12-24 months!
I see what Al is doing, you see what Al is doing, but many do not. Right or wrong Al is expected to have everything fixed this season. We should however be improved and also able to evaluate the DC regardless of where the 2013 defense is ranked. A blowout to UF should garner nothing less than probation for the DC, and a loss to any mediocre ACC team should get him the hook.

Going to be a few more years...

Seems longtime understands the process as well!

4-Real

That was the RUMOR on Harris DeeCane, that's the point. According to a canesport article a few weeks back Miami pulled even with floriduh after Harris enjoyed his Miami visit. Some of the " crystal ball " experts from 24/7 sports even had Miami with a slight edge over floriduh a few weeks back. And once the word was out Miami had the lead & Harris would be committing real soon then all of a sudden he no longer has a floriduh offer, which is the same LIE floriduh fans used last year when they were spurned by Rap Kirby.

Other targets include..

#22 - Dalvin Cook
#25 - Ermon Lane
#30 - Kentavius Street
#43 - Johnnie Dixon
#81 - Travis Rudolph
#84 - Chris Lammons
#85 - Thomas Holley
#152 - Anthony Moten
#208 - Keyon Brown

I'll take a Dixon, a Lammons and a Moten to go please.

4-Real

P.s , floriduh fans have been doggin Anthony Moten ever since he de-committed, saying he's afraid of competition & that he wasn't floriduh material to begin with.

Old Skool

Hmm Fans of a team that refuses to play Miami on a regular basis obviously know something about being afraid of competition.

UMike

Miami will be one of the 5 official visits for 4-Star S C.J. Hampton

UMike

Also..Maybe we did steal him from Florida, maybe we didn't, but the kid has offers from Florida, Florida State, Alabama, UGA, GT, Kentucky, Ole Miss, NC State, Ohio State, South Carolina, TN and Wisconsin..either way we beat out a lot of good competition and in an area of Florida we usually arent goo din.

Momentum.

Al will pull the trigger on D'Onofrio at any time.

DeeCane

UMike....gotcha bro...like I said that was my opinion, I'm not complaining lol..I'm glad we got him..not we need a safety or corner, a DT n wide receiver...and Dalvin Cook

UMike

Dee..I know you were't lol..and you may very be right lol..imo..Muschamp is not the kind of guy to tell a kid they dont have room..he will take the kid then pull the scholly later if someone else wants in lol

WWIN

If it's still a few mo years, then Al apparently isn't da man we need. This is his team now and all his recruits are up at bat. No way should it be a few mo years unless you talking about 3-peat NC titles lol

LB

It's all about the schedule.

CaneRock

This is the best I Have A Dream speech I have heard since MLK:

"That was my dream as a kid,'' Harris told the Orlando Sentinel, where he announced his decision at about noon Monday. "But I grew up, and I've got to realize what's going to help me the most in my future, and that's the University of Miami."

One of the reasons Larry Coker screwed up our program.... Look at Sapp's reaction.

Not a few years to be competitive, but 1 or 2 more to be elite on defense. It's that bad. In my opinion the offense is elite right now (Top 5).

WASHINGTON -- Prince George's County prosecutors are dropping charges against Maryland running back Wes Brown, weeks after he was accused of assaulting a police officer.

Spokesman John Erzen said Monday that prosecutors made the decision to drop the case after reviewing the evidence. A preliminary hearing had been scheduled for Wednesday.

Brown was arrested this month on charges that he assaulted a police officer and used someone else's telephone to secretly record their conversation. But Erzen said the evidence shows Brown never actually recorded the conversation and that the phone wasn't technically stolen becase he gave the owner collateral. Erzen said prosecutors believe Brown was resisting an unlawful arrest rather than assaulting an officer.

A Baltimore police spokesman said Brown remains a person of interest in a non-fatal shooting last month.
